Aldi Grimes Iowa Store #109 yes, could be better, but satisfying for Tuesday PM.Generally I think Aldi is short of stuff. Past couple months hardli to se 1-2 employees in store and usually both registers empty.I tried different store, days and times.Employees, management, Corporate????Definitely todays ALDI is faded image, what ALDI used to be 😢.

Their prices beat every other grocer. Fresh fruit, easy to get in and out quickly, good selection considering the store size, and friendly employees. Great wine selection! I highly recommend the Palazzo Nobile brand red blend and whites.

I love Aldi & you definitely get the most bang for your buck & some of the best customer service here. However, today at the Grimes location the cashier named Amelia (got her name off the receipt) was exceptionally rude. I had my 1yr old son with me and when we went to check out she started ringing things up then I asked her (politely) if we could use the cart we currently were using because I didn’t want to have to move my son & hold up the line. She said “Fine.” then pushed the empty cart away and grabbed the back of my cart and swung it around while my son was in it. That irritated me but I was going to let it go.HOWEVER, my son then started reaching for the card reader & while I was in motion to pull his hand away, in a raised voice the cashier (Amelia) said “DON’T TOUCH THAT!” so I said “He’s just a baby, he doesn’t know any better” to which she said “I know!!” still in a harsh, raised voice.When she was done ringing us up she literally tossed the receipt at me and said “goodbye”.I myself am a customer service worker and I would never in a MILLION years treat a customer in such a way. ESPECIALLY a baby. I understand having bad days but in the working customer service world means you leave those feelings behind as soon as you clock in. Do better.

Do you like saving money? Sure you do. Shop here. My favorite aisle is the one I call the "Epcot Aisle" because it always has food/snacks from a couple different countries in it. I always buy way too much junk food here but I'm almost always happy when I see the average price per item on my receipt. Cashier's are quick and friendly, store is usually clean and well stocked.

Get place to get you shopping needs filled. The produce here is fresh and non chemical treated or gmo. So it is going to go bad sooner than normal. But it's fresh and tastes. They have plenty of choices to pick from and also offer different kinds of foods and drinks. The wine here is great and has a great price! Everything's well stocked and in place. The staff is friendly and helps get you through checkout super fast!

This is my go-to store. Aldi's has the right balance of options and at great prices. I love how quickly I can get in and out because I do bag my own groceries.Also, I love the Wednesday deals and recently was able to easily return an item.

Our fave Aldi in the area! Great location with awesome deals & employees. Clean store with good selection & layout. Nice wide aisles can still get congested with clueless shoppers who go wrong way or block half with cart while they stand in other half; ugh.

The one thing I like about this place is the way they treat there employees. It might just be rumors, but I heard they pretty much treat them like royalty. They don't have to bag the groceries they get a chair to sit in and be comfortable while the work. I bet they get back massages on there breaks.

This is a good, newer Aldi store. As with any Aldi location, you know that you'll find good prices on items, but you may not always find the same things from one visit to the next. This is the one drawback about the chain, but, the store usually has what I seek when visiting. The staff is generally friendly and helpful.

Checker Rashad rang up more items that I had purchased. Only brought 3 cream cheese and was charged for 4. Purchased 2 bags of grapes and was charged for 3 bags of grapes. Total of $4.28 over charged. I did not noticed the over charge until I was looking at receipt when I gotten home. I would have returned to store, I live on south side of Des Moines and about 30 minute drive back to Grimes. Was just in neighbor hood and was checking out the store. Rashad was not very careful with putting grocery in cart. Dropped can good on the bananas and bread. When finished checking out could not even say THANKS YOU!! Will not return, if I do will check receipt before leaving store to catch checker who is not doing their job correctly. If each checker over charges each shopper $5 and the check out 200 people per shift, that is $5 x 200 = $1000 not a bad day of profit and if you have 2, 3 or more checkers adds up even faster.

Already loved shopping at Aldi but this location has exceeded my expectations.. the layout and updated look is amazing.. the staff is so friendly & they always seem to have so much in stock (which I noticed is a struggle for some stores because of the pandemic).
