We are always pleased with their produce department. We often find items here in every department that, usually we would expect to have to go to a bigger city for, which is great. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Been in here a dozen times at this location. The people are rude, ignorant, disrespectful, extremely immature, unprofessional and bet strange. Like something out of a twilight movie but more OFF😬 (uuuhhh) The food is way over priced for a small town near the city. The "Fresh Produce".... Appalling!!! Everything is rotted!?? Why?! And you want more money? You'd sell more for half the price. Then your food won't be sitting there rotting and you wouldn't have to throw perfectly good food that could have been bought in a for a decent price. Not sure who's running the place, but you guys need a higher or better people have better training and take care of the food that you're selling.

I was having a tough day. I just wanted to pop in get done and go. Well then I saw the great deals going on. (example)10 for 10. Went to check out. The line stacked up 3 deep, 4. But they called in another checker, and those lines went quick 😃And the YOUNG man that did my check out made it a pleasure. sooooooo nice, and friendly, Made such a difference in my day.Thank you so very much. I am very new to town. And I'm gonna be the repeat customer. 👍👍

Cute small grocery store that has everything you really need! Usually come here when I forget to buy something elsewhere or when I don’t feel like driving 30 minutes out! Super nice employees and definitely feel at home here!

In my experience the customer service is hit and miss. Depends on who is checking you out. Some of the girls are friendly but some are just flat out rude and grumpy. The prices are high but sometimes there are realy good deals.The only reason I go there is because check out is fairly fast.

Everything in this store is grossly overpriced, something I assume they get away with only because they are the closest grocery store in this area. It is sad how they take advantage of their customers this way, I am new to the area and stopped in for a few items and was outraged by what they thought was acceptable pricing. A 16 oz bottle of Newman's Own Family Style Italian Dressing was priced over 5 dollars, as was a can of artichoke hearts, items that can be found at any normal grocery store for 3 dollars or less. I would rather make the drive then to give any more of my money to this incorrectly named "Thriftway". I write only so newcomers like myself know to keep driving rather than to stop in and waste your time and money.

Nice little place. Good service. Prices are not cheap. But they're not very expensive either. Bottom line, its close and its convenient. A fine staple of Glenwood, Iowa.

Not real thrilled with the meat department. Bought $25 worth of hamburger from them. When I opened it up it was ALL spoiled!! Lesson learned how elsewhere for quality meat!!!

I enjoy the meats, at Russes market, Don Stubbie told me that Russes was his competor, well Don has passed away and Don sold his shurfine grocery store a couple of years ago. This is a nice store.

The Staff know me, before Russ's market took over, I shop there every week, spending over $100.00 to $200.00, when I don't feel like shopping at walmart, I read the new sign about extra plastic bags 5 cents each, didn't like that, why don't you recycle like walmart does for your plastic bags? ,walmart also recycles their cardboard by making bales, also for plastic bales, maybe I'll consider shopping more at walmart if I'm going to have a pay for extra bags , plastic or paper?
