Store is somewhat in disarray, and looks a bit dingy. One employee was super nice and helpful and he even had a smile on! The other female working the register seemed annoyed and almost hateful at her customers, thankfully we had the sweet young man. They weren't very busy, but the female employee acted as if she had more rushing things to do other than her job. Sad, really. They need more employees like the young man.

Like most Dollar Generals that I've visited, it's cluttered and a bit messy. Not that this bothers me, particularly. The prices are very fair as implied by the store's name and the staff at this location weren't rude nor were they overly friendly, which is a plus for me. I'm the type of guy who just wants to get in and out of a store with what I came for in as little time as possible. Overall, this location gets 4 stars from me (though I'm really only comparing this to other DG locations.).

I'd say the store is "okay". Going in there stresses me out even when going to the self checkout. The rude service people offer ticks me off. Im a year young than the given age to buy mucinex and the lady at the counter acted like I was dumb because I didn't know there was a certain age you had to be to buy it. I even repeated my birthday to her just she wouldn't awnser and she just stared at me. And got erritated when the checkout wouldn't work. I get some people have bad days but it was just annoying and ridiculous.

This DG has some staff that are a little grumpy sometimes, but it has never been anything to turn me off of shopping here. The only actual complaint I have ever had with this location is the back stock that is constantly cluttering the aisles. Otherwise, this place is always a go to when it is something I know they will have.

Very poor at keeping their shelves properly stocked with needed items, also hard to get around when the isles are constantly filled with numerous items and or boxes of merchandise that needs to be put on the shelves. The staff could also use some training in customer service skills.

I wasn't able to buy what I was looking for because they didn't carry it. In the past if I wasn't able to fine something and asked for help they was very helpful and took me to itThe cashier was really nice and friendly

They have the prized self adhesive googley eyes. I have single handedly waged a guerilla war on normality with these glorious plastic bastards and have beaten back the forces of bland for well over a year and across 8 states with them and a trusty sharpie. Rest assured that I will not be stopped anytime soon.

They were closed for remodeling, so I basically stopped for nothing, as the sign can't be seen from the road. Also, it's difficult to get back out on the main street from here if you're traveling East (left turn). Disappointing.

Customer service is great there. Things are easy to find and a lot of different items all the time. Also with app, I save a lot of money on every day things I need.

The store has a line of greeting cards, although the selection is somewhat limited. A good place for stocking up on personal care items, cleaning supplies, etc.

Couldn't get thru isles. Every isle had stacks of boxes. Hard to find items around the rows and rows of boxes. This happens 90% of the time. They rarely have items put away.

To be honest I used to work at Dollar General in Carter lake Iowa our store was always clean nothing in the ailes this Dollar General here in Glenwood IA is dirty and things are in the ailes someone could get hurt

Has alot to offer. Sells beer as well if your wanting to make a one stop shop. Very nice staff as well.

This location needs an updated restroom, with a door, that isn't broken, and a new parking lot! The parking lot is, quite frankly, a hazard.
