As of today they are getting rid of price tags and replacing with scannable QR codes.Edit: to Reply to Hy-Vee I do not wish to reach out. I am no longer coming here. Put the price tags back. QR codes are not the futureEdit 2: They have put price tags back but the prices are extreme and 20-40% higher then Walmart on near everything. I have changed my 1/5 star to 2/5 for this reason.

Love having a local grocery store but not happy you took out all the checkouts since you sell alcohol. Nobody could help me besides costumer service which was a line of people refusing to use self checkouts and also buying alcohol. And one lady who was at self checkout had to wait over 15 minutes while I was waiting to have someone from the back come help her. If your going to have self check out you need one person at least helping with issues. It takes three times as long to get out of your store since you've done this😩

Sadly this is the third time that I have been to pick up my prescription ( after calling it in and waiting 24 hours) that I came to pick it up and they had no idea about my request. Then they do not have the meds in stock and will have to wait another day. I’m just going to another pharmacy. I have been on this medication for years and have never had a pharmacy tell me they do not have it in stock. The other times it was a different medication. Same situation, call it in, wait, arrive , clueless, need to order it.

Dark isles and an outdated building. I find it a bit depressing in there and you have to check yourself out unless you wait for the one person at the one counter. I only go if I have to run in and grab something.

Nice friendly store. Great meat and produce selection. Many of the associates greeted me and other customers during my visit. I do not like the self-checkout, but someone was there to check me out and offered to help me carry out, so that was nice. Will shop here again.

Store was clean and well kept and had a decent selection of specialty items. Selection overall was limited as it is a smaller store, but keeping that in mind, it was quite a nice surprise to find some of my favorite brands available in a small town store. Staff was friendly - I think at least three employees said hello to me during my visit.

Went in for breakfast this morning for Veterans Day, and was quickly told to pull our vehicle up and they would bring out the food. The lady brought out the food as we pulled up. The food food was awesome. My son who just came back from Basic Training says the food was delicious also. We both salute you and thank you.

I was back home for a funeral this past weekend and needed some groceries while I was there. I cannot express in words the exceptional customer service I received from Denise Pletcher! She went over and beyond to help me find the items I had stopped in for and did it with a huge smile and should be cloned! She must of been the employee who started the "Smile in every aisle!" This wonderful employee deserves a raise 👍

Stopped here specifically to get some scotcharoos as the last time we were through town I bought some that were amazing. As much chocolate as the crispy part hard to find a baker that realizes that makes a good scotcharoo. This time just a thin layer of chocolate. For $7 for 6 bars, HyVees everywhere can put more chocolate on the top. Pass it on to all HyVees.

CASHIERS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BAG ITEMS!Now I understand it may seem trivial and unimportant, but bagging items is essential when you are a grocery store. Bagging cold or frozen items together, bread should be bagged on its own! Etc. Etc. Please maybe give all employees a refresher on how to bag items as to prevent damage to foods. Otherwise nice place. Much greater variety then when it was Bill's, a lot of healthy alternatives is nice to see. Prices are bit high. But not unreasonable. Overall a nice improvement.

Couldn't possibly have packed my bags worse. If I put cold stuff together on the belt that means put all the cold together not randomly spread through my can goods. Cookies do not go under several cans of tomato juice. Pretty sure a blind person could have done better. Not coming back anytime soon.

UPDATE: I submitted an email to corporate. I received an email and a phone call from the district manager. He did a great job of addressing my issue. I will give the Garner HyVee another chance. I'm convinced they're working on it. I will consider updating my rating after further visits.If you could give 0 stars, I would for this HyVee. Usually the prices ring up incorrectly and then you're harassed for defending yourself. I complained to the manager and the corporate office. I will say the young man stocking shelves gets my single star, because he did ask if I needed any help finding an item. Thank you.

Today I went shopping at 3PM there weren't alot of shoppers. That did make it nice, since the are stocking shelves and that makes the isles hard to maneuver. Some of the produce looked a little sad to say it politely, celery, squash were just crying out to be fred to the pigs.Over all everything and everyone were absolutely wonderful. Nice to have HY VEE in Garner.

Easily found well stocked shelves with items could find very easy! Check out cashier was quick and asked about the fact if I found everything! He was well groom and very polite!

Well well organized decorated. Friendly staff that are willing to show you or help you. They have self-checkout which is a big plus. And they are not like Walmart that treat you like you're stealing and hover over you

Poor excuse for a grocery store have to go to Britt or Clear Lake to often for basic items. Weekly sale flyer is an indication of what you won't be able to get that week, possibly crossing the line from poor marketing to Bait and Switch marketing. The positive side we don't have to drive into Mason City Walmart to look at empty shelves, we can do it at HY-vee in Garner

While it was hard to see Bill's go, Hy Vee has retained a lot of the staff and the hometown feel and service. Overall, a great shopping experience.

Probably the smallest HyVee that I've ever been in but it was a super cool store and it was stocked well. And everybody I encountered there for employees were super nice.

Belmond Fareway does not provide a water refill, so I get mine at Hy-Vee then i pick up groceries while I'm in the store and it works out great
