I love this store, especially the staff. Just when you think customer service is dead, this crew restores your faith in humanity. They are always kind and helpful and go out of their way to provide great customer service. The other family named local hardware store could and should learn a thing or two from Huffmans.

Can't remember the cashier's name, but she is the rudest cashier I've met in a while. Humorless & willing to humiliate customers. If she hates her job that much maybe she should retire & volunteer at an animal shelter.

You can generally find what you need and there staff is friendly. These stores are well organized and clean. I prefer to go here instead of one of the bigger farm stores because of convenience and organization and being a locally owned small business.

Very nice visit the customer service was awesome an older gentleman came and called two younger boys to help me get down my cat tree I didn't know which one I wanted so they had moved very big cat trees very heavy cat trees up and down a couple of times for me They carried it out to the car the lady at the cash register was very friendly she remember me shopping from the day before looking at them and she told me I'll see you when you get back for your cat tree well she remembered me and they were just very friendly very kind and accommodating thank you I also purchased very high quality Carhartt zip up jacket that I love so yeah nice nice store great customer service

Always rude, horrible service and way over priced. I try going here but everytime I regret it. My mother bought a sander from then when she got home it didn't work straight from the box recommended by the worker. She went to return it and they were mad stating that she should of plugged it in before she left. I thought the point of a service is to give that service not get mad over faulty products. She got a refund and we refuse to shop here. This isn't the first time

Went in looking for a bird bath, but didn't find one (they don't carry these). Didn't know what to expect when I went in, but it seems to be geared more towards agricultural and farming than tools & hardware imo. If you have large animals or need equipment, this is probably a good stop. We've used them before for U-Haul returns as well.

Worst retail experience to date. An employee shadowed my boyfriend the whole time he was looking for hardware but offered no help. Quantity/price/AND SKU were asked for at the register. He politely took time to fill this request. Big surprise he wasn't trying to steal anything. Waste of time and money.

If you can't find hardware or plumbing supplies in Fort Madison. Don't forget Huffmans. They will most likely have it.

I bought a 60 inch zero turn lawnmower with a steering wheel a few years ago and it cut my mowing in half, from 3 hours to 1.5 hours. I also bought my chain saw, weed eater, push mower pull behind sprayer and spreader from there. They ALL work great but I know if I ever have a problem they have the service people to back it up.Great Family business with great community involvement

Great General store. They call themselves a farm and home store. Kinda like an ACE hardware or a mini Lowe's or Home Depot. Add in clothing, all varieties of animal feed, some crafts, and a repair/contractor desk. Comparable in price to ACE or TRUE VALUE hardware stores. Family owned in South East Iowa.

The prices can be higher than else where, but the location is close. They have a wide selection of products, including tools, hardware, extensive animal and pet supplies, Carhartt clothing, boots, canning supplies and much more.

Go here for many things. From fixing something to flowers to pet supplies and winter wear. And they sell Blues Hog BBQ sauce by gallon. Mmmmmm

They are missing half the stuff they need to be an effective farm store. When Farm and Home open in the old Shopko the Huffman store will lose a ton of business.
