The employee looked pretty pissed the whole time we where there. She was also texting on her phone and touching her hair alot when making the orders and in between making orders, not very sanitary. Also, the candy in the blizzard tasted pretty bad, might of been expired or something. I definitely would not go their in the evening. The only good thing I can say is atleast we got our orders after the long wait.

I wasn't happy on how much I spent just on a Large Chocolate shake and a Large Cheese Ball that was a little stupid in price and not even get that many Cheese Balls and the Chili Dog was suppose to have cheese on it that was missing.... We even asked if the cheese was on it the manager said yes. We even had to wait I guess fries were down..... Well they were cold....

They do not take dairy queen gift cards! Went to take my mother out for her birthday with the card she got and they apparently don't take DQ gift cards. So we ended up just buying our ice cream I got the royal brownie and the fudge they put in it totally ruined it! Made it awful 😖 but my mother and my husband enjoyed theirs for the most part my mom took the huge chunk of fudge out of hers after she tasted mine.

I love Dairy Queen and the treats. This location has a drive thru or walk-in and pickup. Attached to a family owned Tom-Thumb restaurant (assuming same owners of the DQ location). I would love to give it 5 stars. The treats are definitely worth it. But management needs to update the inside. Literally falling to the wayside. Like a walk back in time to the 80s and just unappealing. Even the security cameras (if functional). Just gives off the impression that money is not put back into the machines or business. Didn't even feel like the a/c was working -- I feel for the employees.

Dairy Queen portion, This was the worst experience I have ever had. The female employee running the registered, openly sighed at another elderly customer for ordering one small cone with his cake. The whole entire restaurant was infested with flies. And it took the guy in front of us nearly 30 minutes for 4 shakes, as well as 20 minutes for us with a smoothie and a shake. Terrible service

The worst experience at any fast food restaurant. They have two separate charges if you order food or ice cream. Hey charged 2.35 per chicken strip which was basically the kind you get from a frozen pack at a grocery store. We paid almost $14 for 4 chicken “tenders” and one plain cheeseburger. Then another $16 for ice cream. Slow. The manager that took our money ignored us when we waved and tapped on the window to let them know they only gave us one of our 2 cheeseburgers we ordered. Total chaos.

I was certainly surprised with this random find. We typically like DQ's that serve food and what we expected. Except this is not that!! It was seperate with a mom n pop attached Restaurant. Tom Thumb Restaurant and Bakery was excellent. I was impressed with the food menu it was satisfying as it was delicious. Intrigued with the bakery too full from dinner so took a cinnamon bread to go. Very unique find didn't even get DQ. YUM.

Many things are wrong with this place. Let's start off with the fact that whenever I try to order a strawberry cheesecake blizzard they always somehow outta cheesecake. How. Second I bought a small cake here. Was supposed to have layers of vanilla ice cream, fudge, the chocolate cookies or whatever and chocolate ice cream. Even says that on the damn label. Nothing but pure vanilla ice cream and frosting. Lowkey very disappointed. 😔😒

This was one of the dirtiest fast food restaurants that I have ever seen. The employees uniforms were filthy, the counters were dirty. I could not believe it. If the service hadn't been so quick I would have left.I DID NOT give it 5stars!

Your choice of good home style cooking (Tom Thumb), Dairy Queen, and full-menu drive-through. Hungry or feeding the crew? Items like fries, slaw, and cheese balls are available in measured quantities. Get there from the western highway 169 parallel road. For to-go, order everything from the north side menu sign. If you're only ordering DQ, they will tell to go to the second pickup window. It's usually okay to bypass the people in line for restaurant food. It occasionally gets funky but so does getting out and getting back to the highway. It works. Look out for the curb if you turn hard right out of the parking lot and then trust the signs or just figure it out yourself on the second try.

I know this place as Tom Thumb which is a well established restaurant and bakery. The Dairy Queen is merely attached to it. My review is for Tom Thumb the restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices, and good service. This place is a Fort Dodge area icon.

Couldn't give negative stars or I would. Went thru drive thru and teen girl told me I couldn't have ice cream because I didn't order properly. I was told to drive back around and order again. I politely declined.... I will NEVER give this business my money again. Hope they go bankrupt

The ice cream was good and fairly friendly service but the entire place was disgustingly filthy. I'm sure if the health department walked in they would close them down for a major cleanup. Will not return until clean.

Worst DQ that I have ever been to. Twice I have gotten blizzards here and they have very little in them. This last on I got the Royal Cheescake. . . . Very little cheescake in it and half way through there were no strawberries! Very disappointed!
