Caffeine free coke topic. If you want to sell it then you cave to stock enough to sell. Not 3 twelve packs same with other products. This is why people drive to Mason city. Just frustrating. Support local means having products in stock.

Great spot if you like old, rotten and spoiled food. Needed mushrooms for a dish and every single pack was out dated by 5+ days and slimy with some even being moldy. Baked goods are always past date. Even dairy products are well past date. And don't get anything from the "fresh" kitchen. They will take day old cold chicken and throw it in the fryer to heat it up. The cold salads from the deli are dried out and gross.

They typically have a lot of good sales. When buying prime rib rolls for Christmas, they were by far the cheapest around, by 5 dollars a lb.

Ordered cupcakes for my son's birthday party, we didn't really know what all colors to use and the worker was very helpful with going off of what we said the party theme was. We picked them up today and they are exactly what we wanted plus more! The price was pretty good too!! We were expecting them to cost more.

I've not had a bad experience at Hy-Vee. In general tho what bothers me is the limited brand selection. They usually offer two brand names with little shelf space between the two brands, then of course they offer their brand with twice the shelf space. I do buy store brand items most of the time to save some money but their are items I prefer brand name and more often than not Hy-Vee didnt have the brand I needed. The other thing I dont care for is between 3 stores different towns but within the general area of one another the price for an item will be different from one another.

Prices are better then past grocery store but employees seem more determined to rip your head off lang before helping you. If you use selfie check don't here. If something goes wrong and it will go wrong you're gonna wait a while before any help comes. Managers are very rude. Went to them to see if I could put a donation box in the store and she ripped my head off for asking.

Everybody is very nice and helpful everytime I have shopped there. The cashiers always are polite at checkout as well. Thank you for providing great customer service 👏I have worked in customer service in just about every job I've had, it's not easy. It takes dedication and a strong will to not let your emotions take over during your shift. Especially with how busy this particular Hyvee can get at times. So keep up the great work.

Only grocery store in Forest City. Make sure you check the expiration date because I have found many outdated items on the shelf. Also bought Hy-vee brand waffle mix and it had bugs in the inclosed bag! Most of the employees are helpful but they can get a bit rude if they are busy.

Nice store with good produce, meat counter guys were very friendly. Check out was cheeful. Women pushing carts into the building was loud, swearing and obnoxious. She has a problem. Young guy stocking pop was not a friendly smile in the pop Isle.

It was just ok. For a Hy-Vee I was expecting better. Service was not exceptional. It was dark in the store. I do have to mention that I didn't go to the deli or meat counters. So maybe service would have been better. This is employee owned so I expect fantastic service. That is what I have received at every other Hy-Vee I've shopped at. Maybe an off day.

Excellent Grocery Store in the sweet Winnebago town of Forest City, Iowa. You won't want to miss their Deli and In-House breakfast and lunch. The deli closes down early, so don't miss it if you're in town.

I ordered a small breakfast eggs, sausage, wheat toast with coffee. As I paid for my breakfast I also stated that I would like some strawberry jam for the toast.After not receiving a receipt. I sat at a booth waiting for my food.Once the food arrived I seen it wasn’t correct. So I told the kitchen staff worker to please take back the item that I didn’t order. With a very sour attitude she says.” Oh ok I’m sorry.” Then she aggressively takes the item back to the kitchen.After I finished eating what was left of my order a different kitchen staff worker returned to the booth that I was in and offered me the correct item that I ordered. I politely said. “No thank you I’ve already finished my breakfast. So she offered it to a different person that gladly took it.So after two kitchen staff workers with sour attitudes..... not doing the right thing.I won’t be returning!!!!!!!

Heather in the bakery is awesome. I had problems with MC hyvee making my son's cupcakes so I called forest city hyvee and she made them that day for me. I picked them up that night and was so impressed. Thank you so much Heather for saving my sons birthday!!

They frequently are out of necessities like milk and their fruits and vegetables are almost never fresh in fact even sometimes rotten which is shocking given the prices. The store design is a disaster, and there’s never anyone around to help you find things that you need, likely because the store simply doesn’t carry them/bother to restock anything. If I could go anywhere else to get my groceries I would.

Sandy in the flower shop is SO GREAT! I called to order flowers for my Mother-in-law's Memorial service after being frustrated with other online florists. She was so kind and helpful and really made my life easier! Kindness means so much, especially now. God bless Sandy!

Bill’s was good, but its produce department was not. Now that it’s Hy-Vee and they run produce specials, we find our family shopping here more and more. The Hy-Vee store brand gives decent priced alternatives and I’ve always been pleased with the customer service we get here. And no, the donuts aren’t as good as Bill’s were, but I think we’ll survive.

Florist poor quality bouquetMy daughters ordered a $50 bouquet of flowers for us for our anniversary and Valentine’s Day. They ordered them two weeks in advances.Went to pick them up and they were all wrapped up so not able to view them at the store. When they got them home and unwrapped them at home - the bouquet looked like it was thrown together and besides the six roses were already dying. My daughters called to talked to the florist and the person in the florist didn’t care. Have always ordered flowers locally but Hy-vee florist in Forest city is very little to desire. Will NEVER order from there again 😠

It could have a few more things. Mason has alot more. Also, the ppl that work there, when they do shopping for the online customers, they have their big carts in the middle of the aisle (which aren't that wide to begin with). Also, when they stock the shelves, they don't do it early morning. Its the middle of the day, and the workers are rude when they are putting stuff away.

I normally rate our hometown Hy-Vee much higher but I'm getting frustrated with an item that they should be carrying and used to carry and other Hy-Vee stores do carry, and I've complained to the store manager as well as the department manager and neither one seems to care. We ended up having to go to the Mason City Hy-Vee store to get what I wanted and needed.

Used to be Bill's Family Foods, not impressed with the new Hy-Vee shopping center. The layout is poor and shoppers have to constantly get out of each other's way, or dodge pallets. The space is too small to offer a flower dept, liquor store, pharmacy, bakery, cafe and hardware store, to save space the frozen section has six foot tall cases putting items out of reach and limited grocery items primarily restricted to HyVee brands.

They carry very few national brands. At the same time their brand cost more than the national brands. For example, they do not carry Green Giant canned vegetables. They only have HyVee brand and they seem to be more expensive than Green Giant so other stores. Also on their fuel saving program. Last year they had a 5pk of shucked corn for $5 and you could save 5 cents a gallon. This year the same pack of corn is only $2.50. What a rip off.
