This is a lovely shelter. The animals are all loved, and it's almost like this is just their foster home rather than your normal shelter experience. I took home a 10 month old recently and he's such a good dog. He needed some medication, and the shelter sent me with it to make sure he didn't have any gaps. He's so healthy and not at all traumatized by being dropped at the shelter. He was just waiting for us! The team at Noah's Ark are responsible for the smooth transition my big baby took. I had to drive over an hour both ways to meet him and it was the best decision!

I have been a long time volunteer at this shelter for a few years now. I absolutely love their mission, I love that they are no-kill shelter, and I love how they interact with the community. They have several outreach programs for low income families to get the animal care and they truly care about the animals they encounter.

Very kind staff. Nice play area to meet your new family member. I can't wait until they have a dog the size I am allowed. Their big dogs are super sweet, well behaved and playful yet nice and calm, great for training. I already love and miss the two I met.

No kill shelter. Unfortunately, most dogs are pit or pit mix. I've had two, and they were most loving dogs. But most people shy away from Pit Bulls. Staff is very caring. And Animals are well cared for. Pretty exspensive adoption fee for taking a cat or dog off their care list.

Noah's ark in Fairfield Iowa is one of the most caring and compassionate shelter for animals! They truly care for the animals and make sure they are fed and clean and Veterinary cared for. They also run spring and fall specials on spay and neutering animals and making sure that they have their shots. The volunteers and staff truly are the meaning of loving what they do for a living! This is also one of the cleanest shelters that I've seen even when they are crowded and overcrowded the inside of the building the cages and the dog runs to the outside are usually always clean and taking care of!

This place was not kind when I called for help. I was not looking for money or hand outs. As a former vet tech and someone who has fostered animals for many years in Missouri and California, I have worked with organizations that are positive and proactive in the help they offer the community. The woman I spoke with on the phone today was rude and obstinate. It’s unfortunate, but I hope they are able to find more compassion for the people of the community they serve who are also trying to help animals in need. God bless.

We have adopted 2 pups from Noah's ark in the past 15 years. The staff have always been friendly and easy going. They're very thorough with their vet work. Noahs ark is an excellent place to consider adopting an animal from.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. It's obvious how much they love these animals. The facility was very clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this shelter. If they don't have the pet you are looking for just give it time as they are always getting in new animals. We drove nearly 3 hours one way to adopt our dog and it was worth the drive.

Very caring staff. Best place I think to adopt a pet from. I adopted a kitten 10 years ago and she's the best thing we have. When they adopt out their animals they're healthy and they've had their shots and they've been spayed or neutered.

Absolutely superb animal care facility and shelter. My wife and kids loved seeing all the dogs and cats and loved having a community room to get to meet our new hound. Staff was top rate being knowledgeable and determined to find a good match between family and dog. Highly recommended!

I'm from Wisconsin and visit Fairfield a few times a year. I always spend time at this shelter socializing the cats, cleaning litter boxes and brushing the cats. It's always so clean, the animals are well cared for and loved by the staff. The staff is committed to helping these cats and dogs get adopted by loving families.

Over the last couple of decades my mom and I have both adopted dogs from Noah's Ark. I have visited several times lately looking for my new best friend (I will know him when I see him). The facilities are spotless, the staff friendly and the animals very well looked after. I highly recommend Noah's Ark to anyone looking for a new four footed furry friend.

This shelter is a great place to find your fur-ever friend. Lol they are clean and the animals are well cared for until adoption. All animals that come through this shelter are micro chipped as well as spayed or neutered and up to date on all shots to help eliminate the possibility of them returning to the shelter or reproducing more animals that could end up at the shelter. The staff here are wonderful, caring people that really take the time to talk to the person or family about what kind of forever friend they are looking for and will only adopt that animal out if they are confident that the animal will be the right fit for the person or family, so as to make the transition easier and smoother for everyone involved. Also, there are a few furry friends that will greet you at the door. Miko is one of those, he's a big half pit half mastiff who just loves attention :) I, myself have adopted from this shelter. My first adopted fur baby was a black cat my daughter named Midnight. The second adoption is actually taking place today, we are bringing a little puppy home for my daughter. We named him Blaze. Both animals are healthy and happy and have been a great addition to our big fur family. Lol We now have 3 dogs, and two cats. All of which are rescues from the streets or shelters <3 The animals at the shelter love visitors, so even if you're not looking for a furry friend to take home they love when people come to visit and play with them. This is a wonderful place to adopt furry friends! They are so nice and helpful too. Surprisingly, the place doesn't smell like a shelter. very fresh and clean! id recommend this place to anyone looking to find a new best friend

The steak I had ordered medium as my buddy warned me that the last time when he ordered a medium rare, his was raw (not rare, "raw") inside the last time. Looked perfectly fine on the outside... But again even at Medium it was cold inside...and rare. Then the apple dessert was uncooked... Tasted bad due to it being uncooked. Just sad to spend over $100 for two people and not satisfied with any part of the meal.

Noah's ark had a vaccination clinic day to help the community vaccinate their cats, and dogs for the shots required for your furbaby.. Fast, and kind.. Clean facility.. I'm going to have my dog fixed bye them because of the experience I had that day..

This is the best place to adopt a cat, dog, kitten, or puppy. They take such good care of the animals, and each one comes complete with shots, spaying or neutering, and a microchip for the dogs.If you love animals but can't adopt one, then volunteer!

They were not fair. Did not Check references​ should hold pet for 10 days they don't know anything about the pet. It seems like they have friends over public. And don't do a background check on friends
