Pharmacy personnel are rude, condescending, and shouldn't be allowed to ruin the reputation of the grocery part of Hy-Vee! Video below I started after being unacknowledged for the first 8 mins. They were not discussing pharmacy business! They were having just a grand ole time while behind me were sitting in chairs, and a line behind me! The pharmacist not being able to count pills due to her participation in the non sense! No wonder waiting times are out of control! With so many employees in that area, I would expect a " hi", "how you doing? We'll be with you ASAP"! But noooo! That's not customer service!

Staff is kind & helpful. It seems they could use a few more employees @ times. (Just like every other place it seems.)Check the prices as sometimes they're a lot higher than Wal-Mart. I have found items priced anywhere from .25 cents to $10 higher. Also, just like Wal-Mart be sure to check expiration dates as I have found expired items @ both places.

I have a Hy-Vee that’s closer to me but, about once a month I like to drive to this Hy-Vee because the store is clean and I like the variety of produce, meats, and your bakery. Your store has a great selection! However, the checkout process is something to be desired. With my most recent experience I watched your bagger, a young boy, take my half a cart of groceries and tower it up like a mountain. I had bags of cat litter, water, 24 packs of soda all on the bottom of the cart before paying. But he thought it would be cute to put it on top with the rest of my groceries and literally stack this heavy stuff on top of my bags. I asked him why he was doing this and why wasn’t he utilizing the bottom of the cart for the bulky heavy stuff? He said it’s because he likes video games. It reminds him of Tetris. I told him well you made my job of loading up my groceries into my trunk a lot more interesting and he just chuckled and said again…think of it as a video game it’s just like Tetris. I was speechless didn’t know what to say, and so I left, pushing my cart and carrying bags of groceries all stuff if carted properly the first time would’ve fit and I would not have had to have carried anything out the door… just push a cart. Advice to your store, train your staff before you set them loose to touch peoples groceries We pay a lot of money for our food. It’s not a game of Tetris. I don’t want it smashed or come home to items that are broken. I think what upset me just as much you had a checker, who was middle-aged, like myself, she appeared to not be new and experienced ,who overheard this conversation, and saw my cart, and chose to not correct him or intercede in anyway.

The place is fine, average quality service por the food-retail chain for a middle-size city, with some staff problems, withe-anglo majority. Something unusual was observing people in a table playing cards.

Great store & plenty of healthy variety!! We stopped in for coffee & ended up legitimately grocery shopping. Fresh prepared food is a plus! Big area to sit inside & eat. Friendly atmosphere & intriguing little town.

I didn't necessarily have a poor experience at Hy-Vee but I felt rushed and so much chaotic energy from the cashier's. Also, I'm not okay with the fact that a woman employee who works at the PayStation is always extremely passively rude to me. She seems to be displeased by my eclectic and vibrant sense of fashion taste and and irritated for occupying the restrooms at the same time she is in them. I know her name and will be calling management about her attitude towards me and lack of customer courtesy. Unacceptable. Maybe wearing all black is a synchronicity of other parts of herself that delve within. I go out of my way to say hi and be kind to her, too, but she has gotten personal with her passive aggressive attacks-I understand that makes no sense but it is the reality of the occurrences. Rant completed.

We stopped in Friday 7/14 and had the best service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Jayden checked us out and they were so awesome! It isn't often that someone checking out groceries on a Friday night is in a great mood but we got the best vibes! Claire was working in the Starbucks area and I'm not sure how Hy Vee and Starbucks are involved but they were amazing as well with a great addition to our "shopping coffee". I hate grocery shopping but this was an awesome experience and they both deserve raises!!! A big plus to Keri who was on the spot to help us bag or groceries but allowed my husband to bag them ourselves. She also showed Hy-Vee's customer service helping us out the door. A great experience deserves a great review!!!

I shopped here the other day. They had all the groceries I needed. The only real problem is that the store had the scent of mens restroom everywhere. I don't know why, it just did. Other than that though, it's a pretty nice place.

We had to stop and get A&E chocolate milk before driving back to Alabama. This Hyvee was very clean and had the liquid gold I was looking for.

Why did you change all the sushi recipes? The tuna salmon poke bowl was fantastic. Now the options are either tuna or salmon and way less fish. The spicy tuna rolls aren't spicy and a different recipe. The wasabi is weak and mushy. What happened? Definitely recommend going back to the original recipe which rivaled Shokai in some ways.

The people here seem more distracted than other HyVee’s but I think it'due to a consistent shortage of labor that started years before the pandemic. That and I heard something about their bakery caters to the surrounding seven HyVee's, so they have a lot of work.

I have not been here since before they closed the caribou coffee shop with a drive through for a Starbucks without a drive through and makes you go into the store. I always used the door and checkout at the farthest west in the wine and alcohol area. Yesterday I saw that doesn't exist anymore and I had to stand in the only checkout that was open for longer than it took to pick up the two items I was purchasing. If I would have known the checkout process was going to take so long I wouldn't have bought anything but just picking up a prescription from the pharmacy. If you think the Fairfield Walmart checkout is terrible, that's what hy-vee is like. My half gallon of ice cream was over 75% melted just from getting it from the freezer and paying for it. If I didn't live within a 30 second drive from hy-vee to put my ice cream in the freezer it would have just been a half gallon milkshake. 0 out of 5 stars, would not do again.

I went in here wearing my usual fedora and trench coat. When I walked in SO many workers were starring at me and laughing. There was one teen girl who looked like she was balding and had SO much dandruff working self checkout. She was extremely weird to me and asked for my snap. When I said no she ran off in tears probably to the bathroom or break room. There was one other time I went to get meat and went through a cashier instead of self checkout and they were completely man handling my groceries and poured the milk in the bag instead of just putting the entire jug in the bag. I don’t know what is wrong with your employees but they act like they need therapy really bad.

My wife and I are here in Fairfield working (we’re from Missouri) and on a late night trip after work, our cards wouldn’t work when purchasing an entire cart full of groceries. The employees were so kind and helpful and helped us resolve the issue quickly so we didn’t leave empty-handed. We appreciate the amazing customer service!!

This store has really went downhill these last few years. Some days the customer service is really great, usually when the staff that day is mostly adults. But waiting for 10 minutes for someone to come help while at the self checkout, watching 3 employees talking and having a good time about 20 feet from me, is absolutely ridiculous!

All of the staff is super friendly and they have about everything you would need, even for "unique" recipes. BUT you will pay about $1-3 more for about everything compared to Walmart. Also their coupons on the app and online account are hit or miss if they'll actually work.

I was checking out my groceries with my toddler when the cashier (balding Caucasian in his 20s) asked if I played pokiman, and he got very agitated when I told him no. He almost dropped my eggs and refused to double bag my bottles. Maybe he had a long day and his patience was wearing thin much like the hair on his head. But this was the worst hy vee location by a long stretch.

This my local store and the only grocery store in town other then Everybody's which is a organic based grocery store. I'd say we have a pretty good selection of food name brand and other. I'm sad that they moved the alcohol on the store but They did need more freezer space in the back.we have a Starbucks in there which is nice.As far a diversity, we're in S.E. Iowa, 90% of the town is white.

You don't get very many groceries for as much money as you have to spend. Produce spoils within 3 days tops. Meat, and Chinese departments close very early even though it says online that they close at 9 p.m. *at least the meat dept. if you go in 15 minutes before they close some act like it's a hassle to serve you. What happened to good customer service, especially at those prices. Also, it is summer time..people work later, and go in later to get meat to grill..hard to do before 7 p.m.

Got some roses at the floral department They had them on sale for $10 a dozen. Their pharmacy personnel can't be beat had to go there today also. They're having a better assortment of items and their bakery is very very good.

One of my favorite stores. They're usually more expensive than Walmart but quite a bit of their stuff is cheaper. Their cafe is a perfect place to do work out of the house. Only problem I have is they don't have unit pricing (price per pound, ounce, etc.). This really bugs me.
