I recently spent a couple days at this hotel. I was totally impressed with the condition of this hotel for being 12 years old. The front entrance and rooms were very nice. Secondly, I was very very impressed with the cleanliness and organization within this hotel. A huge thank you to Autumn,Phillip and Carol. It was also amazing how the front desk and housekeepers work together. This type of environment isn’t seen much anymore. I’ll definitely be back and strongly urge people to visit this hotel.

I recently stayed cause of the snow storm. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was always good, and because I work at night I used my do not disturb sign and was able to get plenty of shampoo, coffee etc. From the front desk when needed. The only problem I had was coming in from the main road due to all the snow, I just don't think the plows could keep up and it had nothing to do with the hotel itself. Will definitely stsy again if I need to.

Stayed here for a family wedding. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great breakfast in the AM and also a ton of fun at the pub in the evening. Kendra and Autumn are the best!

Guestrooms are dusty and the pool-area bathroom was a wasteland, and I mean that literally because there was human waste clogging the toilet and overflowed onto the floor. I shudder to think how long it had been like that before we found it. Staff responded by closing the door and putting an out-of-order sign on the door. When we checked back later on our multi-day stay, the bathroom had not been touched and was exactly the same.

Beautiful property, helpful staff and good breakfast. The room & bed was comfortable, nice pillows. The bathroom us luxurious. My ONLY complaint is that there were 2 kids's birthday parties being hosted and noise was rather bothersome. I have kids, I understand how things go. I'm not sure if families in Fairfield don't believe in discipline or they lack common courtesy. I felt like Lucifer and his children were absolutely ridiculously obnoxious- for absolutely no reason.I would stay here again, but probably ask for a room at the end of a hallway on the 3rd floor away from the town folk.

Fairfield, Iowa is right next to pretty much nowhere. I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the well maintained facility. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The staff was fabulous from check in, to service at Stems and Steins, to check out. We were well taken care of and really do appreciate your hospitality. Thank you for a great stay!!

The evening front desk lady was very nice and fast with check in. I had to move rooms twice. The first time the room AC was not working. The second time I found this bug in my bed. The evening staff assured me that the manager was coming in to speak with me. This never happened. The next day I asked about it and was told that he would definitely call or email me about my stay. This also never happened.Besides the bug in my bed the room was fairly clean. The hot tub didn’t work and seemed set way to hot, like painfully hot. Overall I was more disappointed with the lack of customer service then anything else.

I travel to Fairfield twice a year with work and choose to always stay at the AmericInn. The staff is very warm and welcoming and awaits you with fresh cookies at the front desk. I've never had an issue with the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast options range from day to day. The bar has a decent beer and wine selection as well as a theatre-style popcorn maker (it's all about the snacks).The next most popular option in the area is the Best Western. It's nice that they have a restaurant on-site, but the rooms themselves are a disappointment. The hotel allows smoking. Although there are non-smoking rooms available, they all smell like smoke.I'll keep choosing the AmericInn.

Wow! This hotel is GORGEOUS! It looks and smells brand new and spotlessly clean. Cute little bar open 11am-1am every day! Indoor pool and hot tub...absolutely perfect for a traveling bunch. What a great find!

The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Very nice decor, beautiful restroom. Everything very welcoming. The bar was an interesting touch. Nice selection. The pool looked very inviting, however I forget my shorts lol. Billie Jo, the lady out front was awesome, very friendly and helpful. Thanks for being so nice.

I was pleased to see they had many ada adaptations both for the deaf and for those with physical needs, including lifts for both the pool and the hot tub.The breakfast was filling and contained both got and cold items.The rooms were clean. The hotel staff was nice. Even left a nice note wishing us a wonderful visit.

Took a chance on this hotel since we had never been to Fairfield. We have had, and enjoyed experiences with the other two chain hotels in town, but because of location and pictures, we thought we'd go ahead and pay a little extra. Wow, was it worth it!Each an every person working there was outstanding to work with. Rooms are spacious and clean. Basic tips for housekeeping will get you great results in service. The breakfast is as good as 3 and 4-star hotels (which none are ever as good as a full restaurant).The spa and pool were clean and not overly chlorinated. Temperatures for both were perfect for our liking. Pool towels rolled up on each table in the area plus a rack of them to accommodate large groups - always enough!We can't say enough about our 4-night stay. If we return to the area, I would drive up to 30 minutes to stay here. Our experience was that nice!

Second time I've stayed here, and both times have been great. Rooms are inexpensive and clean. Staff is always very friendly. Breakfast is on par with other free hotel breakfasts. Bed is comfy, plenty of pillows. Definitely will stay here whenever I'm in town.

It's an awesome feeling when I call to book a room that they know who I am. I feel comfortable knowing I'm welcome to use the lobby to relax as well as the room. The grandkids love to do puzzles by the fireplace. I nitpick cleanliness and it has always met my standards. Keep up the amazing work. It's appreciated!! Much appreciated.

Had trouble booking due to using a third party site. Called the hotel. Spoke with assistant manager and manager. The absolute rudest "hospitality" experience. I was using a third party card as well as third party booking, but I could have just switched out the card to use my own if that was such an issue. Instead of telling me to rebook directly with them they said I should "go someplace else" and the whole tone from first hello to getting hung up on (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was overtly hostile. I don't care who you are talking to, you don't, in a hospitality setting, hang up on someone. They told me they were emailing me an authorization form and never emailed it. They sneered at me like Oh you booked through booking you should just go someplace else. I honestly have never experienced ANYTHING like it. They also called the bedbug reviews liars--however I don't trust Jenn or Teena. They are not nice people and should go work at McDonalds or better yet Ed Debevic's--the only place where their tone, demeanor, and problem solving capacity would be a welcome "Schtick." And the nasty tone started even before I knew who I was talking to.
