More like an old time general store as you can purchase everything from fresh meat to appliances. The Silker family are some of the nicest folks around. Always make an effort to shop here and keep this place around for as long as possible.

Awesome little grocery/general/hardware store. Amazing meat counter that multiple local restaurants depend on for the meats. The employees are always very helpful and friendly. Great deli products like freshly made pasta salads, potato salad, etc. A few heat&eat items and basically anything you need quick and don't want to drive far to get. Daily lunch specials cooked in-house and very reasonably priced. Locally sourced fresh produce when available.

This establishment has been around for a long time and for good reason. The laborers that operate it are outstanding human beings. Personally my favorite part about this place is their daily lunch special. It is fast, delicious, fairly priced, and it is not greasy fast food. They have many other great traits as well.

In an age where everything is automated and nothing is personal, Silker’s General Store is a welcome exception. Everyone was so kind and willing to help, and when I needed a product they did not have, the owner went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed.

You go here for the experience. Yes it's a little more expensive than that place that rhymes will ball mart but the people here are so much nicer. You don't have to worry about a worker running you over with a cart because you were in their way. Not that all the ball workers are bad, some are really great but you won't find one bad egg at Silkers. You can generally find everything you need and the meat counter is the bomb (do people still say that?)

Very kind folks running this store in Epworth Iowa. It's a pretty small store but it's very reasonable for getting last minute items. Very good meat counter, very reasonable prices for what you get.
