We brought a stray cat in to be neutered and have other medical issues attended to. The vet and tech did a wonderful job with him. They got us in right away when we live trapped the cat. The prices were so reasonable that we were totally surprised. This is not a “boutique vet clinic”, but a vet clinic run for the benefit of animals by folks who love them. We highly recommend Emmetsburg Veterinary Clinic!

Just had a great visit coming in. Everybody was friendly and was able to get what needed done. I originally came in to get my cat fixed but it was determined it wasn't needed to be done. I mentioned something wrong with the cat and they were able to find medicine for her. Will come back if anything comes up.

This vet is horrendous. His attitude and how he deals with pets and people are nothing but absolutely disgusting. My family dog who is roughly 15-16 was bit by our other dog, the older dog was bleeding profusely and my mom was panicking and trying to call everywhere. She called Docs number, when he answered he rudely said “what do you want scammer?”, do not be a vet with after hours if you are going to answer like that. For a guy who “loves all animals” you sure don’t treat the small ones with respect or their humans. Would never recommend.

My dog was In horrible pain. This vet has 2 numbers to call the 2nd one is his cell and you are not allowed to leave a text or a message. It tells you to call another number which ends up being his wife’s number. I left a message on that number asking to please call me my dog is in horrible pain and may need to be put down. Never got a call back I called to ask him why he didn’t call me a day later and he got very hostile with me and swore at me also then hung up. I was told by others of his reputation. I had to take my dog to Spencer to be put down and Spencer called me back within 30 minutes

Tried to call for after hours help with our dog, very unprofessional, said what the hell am I supposed to do about it. Will never call or recommend to anyone. Don't have an emergency number if you don't want to be a vet and help animals!

I have been taking my dog here for years and we LOVE how straight forward they are and have the best prices for quality care! They will not try to upsell you on unnecessary services like other vets do.We just went in to have my dogs teeth cleaned and they went above and beyond! I have never seen her teeth as clean as they got them! She is a very nervous dog and they kept her comfortable and calm through the procedure. ❤❤❤

We have never dealt with such unprofessionalism in our lives vaccinating without consent, argumentative, and telling us we should be thankful our dog wasn't put down. When our normal vet from spirit lake tried to give them information regarding our dog they said they were “to busy” to take notes. Completely ridiculous!! Doesn’t even deserve one star!!

They are very rude & they treat people like they are all lies & that yell at them & tell them they get the hell out & go some place else they are going to get anymore fines for everyone that lies about not showing them shot records when they don't even know the person.& then refused to look at your dog if you don't get your animal shows done there that day. Even when you say you have his rabies tags they have have the paper proof not just the tags because the tags will come back if looked up to that pet

Very disappointed in our service the other night.. My roommate and I (both Vet Tech students) called the emergency number for a 5 week old kitten we had been fostering since she was 3 days old. Clearly stating her illness history, and also explaining we didn’t believe she would make it through the night without being looked at by a veterinarian. I will leave out a lot of what we were told, as it looks even worse for the business, but we were not given the opportunity to speak to the Vet, as he had declined our request to be seen. We DO understand that sometimes emergencies are difficult to be seen. The lack of professionalism was there! We were offered to have a non-veterinary staff meet us at the clinic (not to see the kitten). This place was not our first option to begin with, as we normally Vet in our hometown (30+ mins away). I do know this will not be an option in the future. I gave 1 star because the next day when I stopped in to pay, the lady at the front desk was understanding and waved the charge. The kitten didn’t survive that night.

Absolutely disgusting behavior. We called after hours for help and instead of listening to anything we had to say or offering any sort of help we were called shameful owners and were told it didn't sound bad enough to be calling them. Awful and unprofessional. Will never call them for help again. Thankfully a real vet called us back and got our baby the help she needed.

The veterinarian is very caring and friendly to both your pet and you and the same can be said for the staff at the front desk. Which is not the case at some of the other veterinary clinics in the Northwest Iowa region. The cost is also very inexpensive compared to any other vet clinic within 60 miles. In fact it’s so cheap In comparison to other vet clinics in Northwest Iowa you won’t be able to discern if others are price gouging which they are or if the lady at the desk taking your payment made a mistake which she didn’t. That’s right my friend you just found your new vet.

I will NEVER recommend this Vet clinic to anyone and will Def keep the word out there that this is NOT the place to take your pets if you want them cared for. The gal at the desk was very nice...However the “so called” vet was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment he stepped out of his office...and then refused to even examine her!!! I’m all about chances and despite a few people telling me to stay away from this place....Now I wish I would have listened and not have wasted my gas and time only to be disgusted by such an uncaring Man!!!!

I would NEVER recommend this vet to anyone. My mother took my dog in for a simple grooming and later in the day got a call that our seven year old dog had been sedated WITHOUT approval, evidently "woke up" after the haircut and was later found dead in the kennel. They sent my mother pictures of our dead baby. I am sick to my stomach. After making a Facebook post that became very popular about our experience, I found there were several other previous customers that had HORRIBLE experiences with this vet as well. Words cannot describe how unethical this place is and I will forever make sure NO ONE I know visits this business.

If I could leave a half star I would...but that's just because he simply answered the phone...he was rude about my concern for my cat trying to bite and tug at her stitches and hung up on me after saying not to be concerned as he has never needed to cone any cats and has done many surgeries.

He has no bed side manner and never moves with urgency but he is reasonably priced and I haven't lost a pet yet.
