Very unorganized. Lost our meat for over a month last year and miss placed our deer head and took for over an hour to look for it. This year they just lost the head and all they had to say was tough luck. Have never been treated so poorly in my life over a simple mistake that could have been easily resolved or made right with us.

I don't do reviews but after my treatment I will leave this one and will not be doing business again. we lost our deer rack. called to talk to them and all we was told was there was sign to cut your own head off. NONE of the other hunters I spoke with saw a sign or where told and the multiple conversation we had over the months asking when it would be done I said I would be picking the head up when the meat was done. They said they would have it but nope. Had two different tags on it as well. Was told it was my fault and they are going to do noting about it. After looking through meat products as well some are very poorly wrapped and have been exposed to open air for a while.

Definitely going to give the Elma locker five stars. It's a great locker and convenience store. Has everything but gas. If you need any little grocery items they have them. They always have something fresh in the warmer. My husband and I love their beef sticks. I love the honey hamsticks, smokey beef strips and pizza burgers. I would recommend.Yum

I always love stopping here. There is a great selection of meats including a huge assortment of their own flavored bacon and beef sticks. There are assorted grocery items like canned goods, bread, buns, milk and eggs, also a small assortment of beer/liquor and cigarettes too.

Great people, great customer service and excellent recipes are offered on their huge product list for your fresh butchered meat. In addition to its fresh meat counter, it is a small grocery, hot food, ice cream, frozen seafood, lottery, liquor and tobacco with hot coffee served thru most of the day. One stop shop! Since my husband, Rob, was introduced to a brat at a friend's softball game he has been making special trips to buy products from the locker. Everything we have gotten from there has been amazing and, though I have never visited the store myself, my husband has raved about the meat products (especially the pork brats with cheese, the pork brat burgers, and the bacon) as well as the wonderful service he receives at EVERY visit. We both simply crave the meat from the store and will go out of our way to go to Elma and visit the store. Thank you for all of your wonderful service and products!

Very helpful I took my deer hear and they butchered it. They also told me some ideas on how or options of mounting it. Also the meat is top of the line also tasts amazing.OVER ALL VERY VERY GOOD PLACE.

Hometown gem. Yes, they have awesome meat products. They also have great food in the warmer. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty awesome. Ask for TJ; he won't steer you wrong!

I have had beef, pork and deer processed at the Elma Locker & Grocery. I have never had a problem with any of my products and absolutely love the ground & formed deer jerky. I work here and if anyone has a problem with their processed meat just call and we will be glad to make things right. You will find us to be very willing to work with anyone who has a problem. The Elma Locker won 3 awards at the 2013 Iowa State Fair for their ham, thuringer and smoked brats. Way to go!!!

Took deer there before and you just drop the unskinned ones in a small un cooled shack and I don't think you get the meat back you take in and they aren't very fast(we had a deer there and we didn't get back till 3 months later:[). Like they do mass processing and give you your share over deer season... I recommend Polasheks in protivin iowa.
