After 13 years and 3 months of being the best of friends I had to put down my buddy Luke, an incredible Black Lab. He was a patient with Risius for around ten years or so and they had always given him the very best of care. I'm still saying goodbye to him. Emotionally speaking it was the hardest thing that I've ever had to do in my life. I can't thank Taylor and the staff enough for helping me through this difficult time. I'm not sure if I could have handled it on my own but they were very comforting for both Luke and myself. If/when I can find another Black Lab puppy that doesn't come from a mill or is inbred, I will count on Risius to help me keep him fit and healthy just like Luke. I would highly recommend the staff at Risius for their professional, caring Team. We have gone to Dr. Risius for decades. He did a great job selecting Dr. Joel to join his practice and Dr. Abby does a wonderful job also. Today I authorized a procedure on our 11 year old dog, Diesel and left him there for them to proceed. This afternoon, Dr. Abby called and went through what she felt was going on with Diesel. We talked and went over his plan of care. It was a pleasant surprise when I picked him up and the cost was only 1/2 of what I authorized. It shouldn't have surprised me so much. I recall one July 4th probably 15 or more years ago when Dr. Dale and Dr. Joel performed a surgery on a barrow of ours and when the bill came it was a fraction of what I expected. They are ALWAYS checking in with us after treatment to see how our pets and livestock are doing. It is without hesitation we always recommend them to others looking for a veterinarian.

We had to say goodbye to our 12 year old golden retriever last week. Dr. Skye and Natalie were amazing. Both were very professional yet sweet and so kind. They take such great care in the way they helped us say goodbye. I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for our sweet boy the past 12 years.

Took our new puppy to Risius, and I absolutely loved the way they treated my puppy. Being new to the area, and not having any clue where to go I was a little nervous. Anyone looking for a place to go, should definitely give this place a try!

Very pleased they put me and my cat in a room immediately. Other places have made me sit in a room full of people with other animals that just stressed my cat out even more. Everyone I spoke to and that helped me were very kind and in great spirits. My cat was totally relaxed the entire visit. Staff were very kind in helping me decide was treatments to do/steps to take on my current budget. Very glad I picked to go here!

Risius vet clinic in Eldridge is the best. I have never been disappointed from any service they offer. They are so Kind and very compassionate towards your lil or big fur kids, Dr Collins and their vet technician Grace helped me through a very difficult decision. Such kind hearts. I would never take my lil fur kids elsewhere. I live in Davenport but will gladly drive to them because of kindness and compassion they offer for the FAMILY FUR KIDs.an important family member. They have always been kind and knowledgeable. I went through having my dog have alot of health issues due to old age. Sadly today knowing he wouldn't be able to get better we had to put him down. Potential for more serious health issues and pain made me realize I wanted him to be at peace and have no pain at all anymore. The staff there was very supportive and gave us many comforting words as well as information on him in case we decided to wait. I realized if I put it off I wouldn't ever do it until he was so bad I would have no other choice. I could not be selfish in making him endure all that just for me.I just want to say thank you so much for all the years you have all helped me better take care of him and being there with us for this tough decision. It was hard to do but having your kind support in it made it go alot smoother.

The staff is always efficient and welcoming. The entire clinic has a family feeling. That's the main reason we have been clients for almost 20 years. They take wonderful care of our fur babies and never rush through exams.

My regular vet is closed on Thursdays. I live in Clinton and called 4 different clinics to try and get my dog in....the last one I called, they suggested I contact Risius Clinic, so I did. The lady who answered the phone I believe her name was Kristin, she was just the nicest!!!!! She got me in with the vet and everyone there was beyond friendly!I come from a customer service background and have always given it my 100% to customers and it was so nice to have someone reciprocate that back. Especially in todays world where that friendliness has gone to the way-side. Thank you for seeing my sweet girly today.❤️🐶

I originally began taking my pets to Risius on the recommendation of my dentist who was very happy with the care they gave her pets. Both the techs and vets have been amazingly responsive, especially when we have had emergencies and conditions that required immediate and consistent care. They have never hesitated to consult with veterinary schools and other experts to get the most up to date information and protocols for treatment. They have given my pets the best possible care. I have recommended them to both friends and colleagues.

The staff at Risius is wonderful. They truly care about my dogs and have provided excellent care for my three dogs. When I lost my beloved Golden Retriever Jack this May, they sent a card to us and every employee wrote a nice note about Jack. This meant the world to us, as he was a treasured family member. I would never consider going anywhere else for the care of my dogs, and have recommended Risius to many of my friends. Awesome Vet and staff. The 20 minute wait in a cold car for the tech to respond was not pleasant BUT the care and concern demonstrated by all of the staff outweighed the wait. I do have some issues with the charges for bringing one of my pups for an unscheduled visit. Especially considering the number of our pets that we take to Risius,

I have been coming to this inuc for many years. I especially have had a good professional relationship with Carrie and Pam. HOWEVER - your office staff is rude and uncaring. I was in yesterday to get proof of vaccinations so I could board Jack next weekend. When we were in for above rmentioned vaccinations,they had a computer problem,and gave me a sheet that wasn't what I needed . I drove back out to get the paper I needed.Nothing on the first paper said that he had been given the inoculation,just that they were due. This Riley wasn't I terested in getting me the paper I needed for proof. The office had no other people in . They had no trouble send .y credit card thru. I will be going elsewhere.

Awesome young vets. Dad and I brought up 12 calves today to get shots and they did a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We were both impressed. Great to see a younger generation that cares about what they are doing.

My sister has brought her two dogs here for a few years, as well as my brother with his dog, so it only made sense that I bring my puppy here when I bought her in 10/12. The staff has always been friendly both over the phone and in person. I love that after both her spay and teeth pulling the staff called me to check how everything was going. The fact that they care enough to call me, has made it a lot easier for me to pick up the phone with any concerns I have regarding my puppy. I had lots of silly concerns with my little 2-3lb pup, but they were always happy to hear me out.

Ok. I’m a little anal and OCD. Very picky (aren’t we all a bit when it comes to our fur kids?) they are very accommodating, very compassionate, very caring.Dr Skye is who we usually see, we really like her. Have seen others here too and all are first class.Follow up calls, nice touch. Sent a nice card when one of our dogs passed. Just love the Risius people. Been going here for years.

We've use Risius Vet Service for over 10 years. They take excellent care of our dogs, answering all of our questions and concerns. If our dogs need surgery or special treatment, I know that they are in very capable hands. The facilities are very clean, the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They are compassionate, especially when we lost a pet. They have very competitive rates, without compromising care or treatment. Very highly recommended

Ive been taking all of my pets here for many years and the staff are friendly and caring. Its always very clean and inviting. I trust them and when my dog was diagnosed with cancer they removed it and they followed up professionally. I will keep coming back.

We really love the staff and doctors at Risius. They really care about your pets and have been very good to us. When our dog had to be put down they were very compassionate. We were sobbing and they were very kind.
