Classic small town drive in atmosphere and food. Huge menu at low prices. Very friendly service! Broasted chicken had a lot of meat and was very good. Triple bypass did not skimp on toppings. Next time I will order the gravy as a side for my fries. Ice cream was good, large serving sizes. We will be back!

Love this place!! My grandpatents would take me here when I spent the summers with them when I was a kid. The ice cream, and pie are ALWAYS awesome!! I also really look forward to the chicken gizzards since I can't get them were I am from (AZ/NM)!!

I’m an OTR driver and these kind people brought me food. Well worth the money spent. Excellent flavor and fairly quick with the delivery. If youre a driver at the pork plant in Hospers they will deliver here. They just ask that you take care of the delivery driver. No complaints from me and I will be ordering from here again the next time I’m in the area. Thank you all for the food.

Good fairly priced food and delicious ice cream. Only reason I’m taking a star off is for the waitress. I asked her a question about an item on the menu and she said she didn’t know and did left it at that. After almost 30 seconds of silence I realized she wasn’t going to go ask someone else for the answer and left it at that. Definitely acted like she’d rather be anywhere else than there. Otherwise, the place was excellent.

I'm updating my review. As of April, 2023 the place is looking terribly run down. It took almost 10 minutes to order because the girl at the counter had to look everything up on a sheet to get a code/price. The food is still decent. It's a bummer that they don't use fudge on their hot fudge sundaes...they use chocolate syrup. I'd buy a bottle of Hershey's if that's what I was looking for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation and told them my favorite sweets.. she made me an amazing peanut butter shake with chocolate pieces.. we ordered funnel cake fries as well. They were delicious! (Even better dipped in your shake!)

The ice cream treats are great and the food is usually decent. The place has gone downhill significantly over the last 5 years, though. On our last stop, there were tall weeds everywhere outside, it needs repainted, the signs are in horrible shape and clearly homemade, the mini golf course is very worn, tall grass, and starting to deteriorate, and there's always a long wait, even when not busy. The employees we always seem to get at the counter are often not very friendly, but I imagine it would be difficult to work at a place very long that looks so run down. If you're just after an ice cream treat and don't care about friendly customer service, a quality looking place with nice aesthetics, then you'll probably enjoy your experience. The Cyclones are always good.

Lovely, old-fashioned burger and ice cream joint. The burgers were delicious and we loved the deep fried mushrooms. Next time we'll try the malts! Good prices, extensive menu. You don't find many old mom and pop places like this anymore.

The food is pretty awful. Greasy and unclean atmosphere. The icecream is good. Just stick to the front. I had a bad experience of pulling in to grab ice cream and the cooker was at the grill cooking, and eating at the same time. I kept seeing her pop food into her mouth. We just backed out of the parking lot and took our business elsewhere. Prices are extremely reasonable!

Went here on a whim with family on Sat 8-7-21.As we pulled up to this place, we thought we were at the wrong place. The photos posted online by customers is not even close to what this place looks now. The place has gone downhill since the photos posted in 2019. The inside is lacking basic upkeep/cleaning and updating.First thing we noticed when we walked in was how our feet literally stuck to the floor because it was so sticky! We sat ourselves down at a booth and a teenage girl walked up to our booth. Didn’t say a word to us like “hello” or “welcome, what can I get you to drink”, instead we were met by her just standing next to our booth staring at us, dropped the menus on the table and walked away. She came back shortly and same deal. Stood at the booth with pen and paper and nothing came out of her mouth, just stared at us. We ordered our drinks first. Our drinks came in small glasses with no straws. Once the girl came back my mother asked for straws, as in more than one. The girl came back with a single straw. We ordered our food, which came fairly quickly. The girl sat the food on the table and just walked away. Once she came back to check on us we had to ask for silverware.If I could give 0 stars I would. Run-down place, basic food, horrible customer service. Will not be returning.

Good was great, but shouldn’t take an hour to get malts.. had to ask for silverware..food was almost completely eaten by the time we got our malts ..never offered water, but everyone else in the building had water. Stood and talked to a table for ten minutes while she ur stuff was ready to come out. I get short staffed but she totally didn’t manage her time well. Good great. Customer service blah!!!

Was a very nice place and I used to order there alot when I lived in sheldon. Nice people and great ice cream. Miss you guys as a customer and miss the peanut butter butterscotch malts. Wish you delivered to orange city, but hope you're all well. :)

Omg! Best Sundae I have had in forever. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, love it once in a blue moon. This is the place to get your fix for ice cream, burger and fries. Great atmosphere, pleasant workers, and not priced high. Great place to take the family.

Quiet little country drive-in just off the highway in Sheldon. Really good burgers and GREAT ice cream treats that taste like they used to years ago. They have tables in the back of you care for sit-down service.

On a road trip across a few State lines and ran across this mom & pop owned/run restaurant. Good food, personal attention (especially from Jennifer, their daughter). Felt like we were with family. They’re doing a good job in a tough Covid economy. Thumbs up for the good food and caring attention, checking in with us frequently to see if our food was ok, if we needed more drinks or anything else, etc. The place could use some TLC, but the rest was great.

This place was swamped when we arrived. We ordered food from the front window which has a small waiting area with a handful of bar stools to sit and eat. Outside there are two picnic tables to sit and eat at as well. The food was okay, nothing special at all - however the ice cream was actually really delicious and incredibly creamy.High school staffing leads to hit and miss service - overhearing high school drama while ordering and eating was entertaining.

I've never had food here, just ice cream. In my experience the service is decent, albeit nothing to write home about. The ice cream is fairly similar. Pretty good, but not outstanding. However, the prices are excellent, and you get a lot for what you are paying.

They was out of vanilla ice cream and I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough and there was not even 1 cookie dough in it. The lady stated that it got blended up. I didn't believe that at all. Our 1st time there don't really know if we will go back again

Cute little Ma & Pa place. Not many restaurants left like this anymore. My husband was not too impressed but I thought the place had character. I loved the variety of the menu and everything is made fresh! Prices are also very reasonable!! If you're staying in Sheldon, definitely give it a try!
