At a vet's office the staff can drag you down or really make you shine. Emerson's staff is top notch. They treat each animal with love and make them as comfortable as possible. They have recently done some remodeling to drastically inprove pet accommodations. Receptionist is a real sweetheart.

They really seem to care about your animal. She runs lots of tests, which add up, but I like the fact she is being thorough and wanting to do everything they can to help. I believe the doctor is very knowledgeable. And I feel confident in her dignoses.

There are not enough words to tell you how great Dr. Elaine Schope and her employees are. They took great care of my cat and dog when I had to board for a week. Also, when my dog became sick and I had to let her go they were there for me.

The level of service you receive with them is beyond words. We have taken all of our animals here for many years. About a year ago, we took my dog in to the Webster City Vet because he had all of the sudden been unable to jump up on things. The WC Vet told us that there was no hope and we would have to put him down. So, after freaking out, we took him to Emerson's and they listed out various options for us. They were very upfront with us every step of the way. He had a tumor and we opted for them to test it. During testing, they called and said they thought they would be able to just remove it which we told them to go ahead and get it out of there. It was costly to do this but they told us the cost upfront so we ok'd it.The test results after the tumor was removed came back positive for cancer. After the surgery, he was back to his old self very quickly and we had a wonderful year with him. About a month or so ago he started to deteriorate and we took him in again. His kidney's were shutting down and they walked us through different treatments and told us that he probably would never get back to his old self. Last week, we took him back because he was not eating and not doing well at all. After talking with Elaine, we decided that we didn't want him to suffer any longer so they put him to sleep.That was a terrible experience but we could not believe how understanding, caring and empathetic the staff and vets were. They also just sent us a note that they made a donation in our dog's name to the Iowa State Veterinary research facility.I would never take my animals anywhere else and every person that takes their pets there that I have spoken with says the same thing.

Apparently she's not a fan of big dogs or even knowledgeable in how to approach a dog that is clearly in distress as he doesn't like what is going on. Also super judgemental.And she let's cats roam all over, the cat hair was ungodly and when I started to have an allergic reaction to it all no one cared.

We have received great service from Doctors who care about my animals. They have provided emergency care at the worst time and conditions. They have come to my farm or met me at the clinic in off hours, holidays, weekends, as needed. I highly recommend them.
