I love how this store has continued to feel like a small town hardware shop despite carrying a wide array of products. It's clean, well maintained and the staff is always friendly. BONUS: It's dog friendly, has an excellent pet section and free popcorn 🍿

Easy to notice location off of Dodge Street with ample parking. Store is clean and well laid out; not overwhelming. They carry a huge variety of items as you can see in some of my photos. Prices are comparable to other similar stores. They also offer (the BEST) free popcorn while you shop. Purchase gardening soil? Drive up outside and they load it for you.If you deem this review helpful please give it a like. Thank you.

Penni was the rudest cashier I have ever met and the manager Jim was even worse. They had no idea what they were talking about as they both kept repeating a lie. I'm not sure how they think they earn a paycheck, but it is by having customers purchase from your store. When you have such horrible and extremely rude customer service people tend to not return. There are other stores to shop at. Do yourself a favor Jim and educate yourself of the programs your company supports. Then educate Penni as she seems to just repeat whatever you say.

We went in last Saturday hoping to find plugs for a cattle waterer, floats for cattle tanks and a few other hard to find items. Hunter helped us on every question we had in the livestock/pet food area. After we finished our scavenger hunt list with him he asked if there was anything else. Keep employees like him and your customers will keep coming back. Thank you Hunter.

I have always loved the Dubuque Theisen'sHow ever this past Wed ,I stopped to get my dog some food to be disappointed they were out.I was relieved to see a sign in front of it that I will attach.I asked the girl taking care of the dog food aisle to please send me a bag but she informed me she could not do that. I replied that is false advertising and she said she new.I told her she should remove that sign and informed me she couldn't. I asked her since she couldn't send the dog food to my house like the sign said how about sending it to Theisens in Monticello so she was kind enough to do this.I asked her before leaving when I could expect it ? She said they should get their shipment in that day or the next day and I should have my bag food delivered to Monticello in a wk or 2Ugh. Very disappointed!!

Not many kids shows. Was hoping to find my teenager some boots and the small kids section quickly turns to men's. Def more for adults and things are pricey. If you want to pay top dollar the clothing items are very nice, as they should be. Seems like there should be more clearance for the amount of clothing they have but they do have very nice stuff. Staff was kind and helpful.

A little bit higher priced than Blain's Farm & Fleet usually, but normally have decent quality stuff. It's weird that they don't acknowledge that BFF is their closest direct competitor. Lol!

We came at a busy time of day and couldn't find anyone to help us with heavy bags of chicken feed, etc. I walked up to the front and found a guy coming in from helping someone else. He was polite and very helpful. He loaded the carts and also loaded the car for us.

9 times out of 10 the item I was looking for was successfully purchased at Theisen's with the added benefit of the staff having an upbeat attitude towards service. This reason alone is why I enjoy shopping local!!!

Way better than Home Depot. Have some of the best costumer service, and they know there stuff. I bought a generator from here and haven't had any trouble yet.

Family owned and operated, that being said I think they need to remind the employees of that. Robots is the impression I got and that surprised me because I've had some experience with the owners and they are both very bubbly people that despite their high-end upbringing have managed to hold on to the fact that we are all equal. The store itself is very clean and well stocked with the best work boot selection in town. Prices are high but that seems to be the norm everywhere these days. Good place good company good products.

At the risk of sounding like a Karen, I really wanted to give this store a good review but despite my efforts to make it a positive experience the customer service was so bad its unavoidable and I just have to speak up about it. That said, it all started one Saturday evening. My husband and I are in the market for a utv and we found the one we wanted there at that Theisens. We went in the store and found the service desk and asked about purchasing the utv. She called to automotive which did not respond so we walked back there and found a kid I know his name but, I won't say it here. He lectured us about coming on a Saturday night when there is no one there to help us with the purchase. (We both work during the week and live an hour from that store and cannot come any other time) he proceeded to tell us to come some other day. And would not sell us the utv. I was so mad but I bit my tongue and just walked out of the store empty handed. They could have had a 10000.00 sale, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. The lady we talked to initially when no one responded to the page for automotive said that they can't get anyone to work on Saturday nights. That's too bad. I had just gotten off my job that Saturday to make a purchase that no one would ring me up for. What is wrong with this society? No one wants to work?

Great store that sells everything you should need with plenty of choice, from BBQ's to lawn mowers to car cleaning products and equipment to socks and beef jerky. Its all under one roof. Staff are very friendly and very helpful! 😁👍
