The staff at Fur on 14th always takes such great care of our girl! They know her temperament and how to make her feel comfortable. They always do an amazing job at keeping our girl clean and looking and feeling her best. They really get to know your fur babies. They noticed a lump on our girl before we did and let us know right away.

First time coming to this groomer. New location is really nice and spacious. Nikki is very knowledgeable about what cut my dog needed. She treated my dog like her own. Very calm and patient. He looked amazing! Great job guys!

My husband and I recently “adopted” my parents toy poodle. They both passed away this summer and though we lost family, we gained a new “addition” to our family. They lived out of state so we were tasked with finding a new groomer. We had her groomed the last time we were in that state so we bought ourselves a little time. I work in a busy doctors office with many pup lovers. I asked around for recommendations, because this little monkey was my moms pride and joy and I only wanted the best. I received a few recommendations from trusted friends, but was cautioned about how difficult it is to get on the clientele list for groomers in the Dubuque area. I reached out to a few, scoured websites for pictures, and read as many reviews as I could. I never heard back from some of the ones I reached out to. However, within less than a hour of leaving a message at F.U.R on 14th I received communication back from them! Nikki gave the information I needed and we were able to get our little pup in THE VERY NEXT DAY! I expected to have a long wait…but they were fabulous! My husband, who is tough to please, was immediately impressed with them when he dropped our pup off. He even texted photos to me of her as soon as he picked her up! This is a guy who for 20 years of marriage has said he never wanted a doggie. (He was only willing to adopt her out of his great respect for my parents.). He was very pleased, and proud, of how nice she looked! I can not say enough wonderful things about F.U.R on 14th! Except, if you take your pup here, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Great job Nikki and Omar! Looking forward to many years of working with y’all!

I recently boarded my friends 2 dogs at The Paws Mahal Pet Spa while her husband was undergoing cancer treatment in Rochester. Nikki was very quick to respond to our need on short notice. Their stay was a very positive experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was evident that they genuinely care about the well-being of the dogs they care for.The facilities were clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and safe environment. It was comforting to know that Tucker and Remi had ample space to exercise and socialize with other dogs.During Remi and Tucker's stay, the staff kept me updated with pictures and messages, which was a thoughtful touch and put our minds at ease. It was evident that they took the time to get to know Remi and Tucker's personalities.I would definitely recommend The Paws Mahal Pet Spa to fellow pet owners looking for a reliable and caring place to board their furry companions. I cannot express how amazing Nikki is! My dog had been kicked out of 3 groomers because they did not want to risk his life as he has extreme anxiety. I spoke to Nikki she told me to bring him in and allowed me to stay the first time and the next time told me it was up to me but she would give it a shot without me. He did well with much more improvement over the years. He now loves Nikki❤️ She treats your pet like her very own. Nikki takes wonderful care of my sassy long haired cat. She is patient and kind with her even when she doesn't like being groomed. Her grooming is always on point. She is very knowledgeable about the correct ways to groom and care for animals. Nikki puts her heart and soul into her business and it shows. Olive comes home looking and smelling amazing every time. The service is hands down the best in the area.

Ruined our trip! They never showed up to board our dogs when they said they would be there. Didn't answer calls or text. Had to cancel non refundable hotel rooms and tickets. We are out more than $500 and didn't get to take our first trip without our new baby. This was such a disappointment. Zero stars and a 100 booooo's!

Took our 3 dogs there. Loved first cuts. Unfortunately for the owner next appointment she was all alone and wasn’t able to take the time for all the dogs that. Very friendly. I had stopped to have someone come to our home. Big mistake. They need grooming and hope she takes us back

I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!Moon has only gone to Nikki and Omar since she was a puppy. I know when she is there she is being treated extremely well and loved as if she was their own pet.My Dog has anxiety issues and doesn't like grooming, but Nikki does so well with her and loves her for her (even with her little quirks).I would recommend The Paws Mahal Pet Spa to anyone who is looking for a professional groomer! When Moon goes to Nikki, I know a great job is going to be done and Nikki is going to spend time making sure the grooming is done the correct way.

Nikki was very thorough explaining her process before and after Amara's groom. As soon as we walked in I knew that our pup was going to be showered with affection. She went above and beyond dolling Amara up and was super excited to do so. Her rates are very reasonable and grooming quality is great. Can't wait to bring our puppy in to get pampered again!

I wandered in one day when PawsMahal was on Main St. My elderly Pug always had trouble with her nails and we both learned to dread nail trims. But, it must be done.I inquired with Nikki, (the proprietor); about what could be done because of how her nails curled, about my pups distress in past (professional)nail trims, and how it was affecting my friends ability to remain mobile at age 15.Nikki was not only interested in what was going on, but was very particular about a strategy of how to HELP my Pup.That was this summer, and already in fall after a couple strategic nail trims Piggellette walks better, farther. Gratefully, now she is so much happier and better able to be the social creature that she has always been. I had modified a stroller for Piggellette because of mobility issues; but because of Nikki and the staff it is no longer a necessity and Piggellette can sashay for a few blocks greeting people along the way to a little park area and play with other dogs again.Nikki is so above and beyond that when she figured out that I don't drive she deliverd Piggellette to me after her spa day.On a five star rating- that's ridiculous!! Nikki and her staff at Fur On 14th are at Least 10 STARS!!

I would recommend Nikki to groom. After taking my dog to many salons I was referred to Nikki. The experience was great and his coat looks amazing. My husband and children were very pleased as well. Nikki met us curbside, masked, and took Boo in, and returned him directly to the car when finished. Boo was not stressed or depressed! We also like their on-line billing. Slick as can be!! Nikki treats your pets like they’re family. I’m never worried to leave our Himalayan cat in her care because she is professional, knowledgeable, and an absolute lover of all animals and it shows in the care, detail and time she takes with our loved one. We’ve always struggled to find a good cat groomer in Dubuque who knows what they’re doing and now we don’t have to search anymore because Nikki is it! She takes the time to bathe, brush, and blow dry him. She will also snip out matted hair instead of shaving where she can and then shave what can’t be saved all in the best interest of our cat and his comfort level. Our family and our cat says 5 stars!

The Paws Mahal is the best grooming salon we have ever had the pleasure of taking our Golden Retriever. Nikki and her husband Omar are amazing!I have an extremely large, 107 pound, Golden Retriever named Cooper. He was 11 in February of 2019. Cooper has really bad Hip Dysplasia and is very arthritic. To top it off he has more hair than 10 Golden Retrievers put together and trust me that is no exaggeration!Nikki is so patient with him and when she is finished he looks like a new dog. She is careful with his hips and he gets to rest when he needs a break. While we love his beautiful feathering at this point in his life it is easier on him if we keep his hair shorter. Nikki cuts him so nicely. He is like a little puppy when he leaves and I can tell he feels good about himself.Nikki is also very knowledgeable on dog health. When she groomed Cooper for the first time she recognized something was wrong with his teeth. His breath had an odor. She suggested we see a vet and sure enough he needed to have some oral surgery and teeth cleaning. I had no idea anything was wrong until she mentioned it.I can't say enough good things about Paws Mahal and Nikki and Omar. They treat your dogs like they were their own.If you want to have your dog look great and know he/she is in an environment where it will be treated like your own, The Paws Mahal is where you want to go!

The owners take their time and make sure every animal is comfortable and happy while in their care, I will continue to bring any animal I need groomed to them because I know I don't ever need to worry about the care they receive while in the shop. I can't imagine going anywhere else to get Bandit groomed. He's a high energy husky and Nikki and Omar have such a way with animals that he comes out looking beautiful every time. She is very knowledgeable and knows exactly how to handle his coat, she also educated me. She did things that I didn't even know he needed and now I can't live without, like trimming down hair around his butt and feet! Keeps him so much cleaner, for longer.. He loves going there and likes showing off after he gets all spiffied up. I've taken him to other shops and the service was nothing like what I got at the Pawsmahal. They are top notch groomers!
