Great service great food. Cute place. It’s not ritzy but is updated and feels homey. Been here several times. They just got a new owner who we met today (so clearly local) and seemed like a genuine person. Would recommend. My salad was less than $10 and looked very fancy and had all the fixings. The waitress recommended a drink which was enjoyed. Especially for the price, a great place to go. Worth driving from Davenport / Eldridge / North Scott to get to.

Great customer service. Morgan was very attentive and checked back with us regularly. Food was great. New menu is amazing. Had the Crispy Chicken salad. Only change I'd make is to add an option for crispy noodles atop it. Love the salad and presentation. Very pretty, ate too fast for a pick. Sorry, not sorry. My date had open faced prime rib and he made love to it.

Friday night dinner for our first visit. Very pleasant atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The place was very busy but social distanced very well. The drinks were cheap, the food was excellent, as was the service.A couple of comments about the food; tonight was rib night and they were excellent. They use a dry rub which is the first I’ve seen around the Quad Cities. You don’t need and shouldn’t want sauce! They were flavorful, juicy and fall off the bone. What a great place, can’t wait to come back!!

Not only was the food amazing (fish nuggets, cheese curds, steak was done PERFECTLY, desserts were to die for), the staff was kind and courteous - a nice deviation from what this ‘town outsider’ usually experiences at local favorites. We had a lot of fun, got to watch our favorite teams play ball, and left with full bellies. A job well done to the staff and management.

I would give the depot 10 stars if I could. We were there for the first time last night and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere is fun, the staff was so friendly, and the food was amazing. If you choose to change the side, you get a full appetizer size order of your choice. The potato wedges and the mushrooms were amazing. Definitely worth $4.00. The mushrooms and tenderloin were breaded in a light crispy breading that you definitely can’t buy at the store. They had to be breaded right there in the kitchen. Amazing! Be sure and ask the history of the building when you go. It’s so neat. Ask for Chelle if you are there on the weekend. She was the most friendly restaurant staff I’ve met in a long time.

The Depot in Donahue Iowa has theeeee BEST brunch I have EVER had and they serve a 11 oz ribeye for just $4 more which melts in your mouth with incredible flavor. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving them a try. We will be back SOON !!! The owner greats you and actually asks you if everything is OK. Very nice guy 👍🏻

We just happened upon this place passing through on a Sunday afternoon. The sign says fish fry, so we stopped to eat. The fish was delicious and the homemade tartar sauce was extraordinary! The entire meal was excellent.

Friendly staff, but poor service, & food was not good or hot. Ordered appetizers, we got over cooked, over salted cheese curds. But, the manager did make another batch that was not over cooked. We were a Party of four, and two out of our four entrees came as ordered &It took about 28 min to get them.One fish fillet came without batter, another came on a bun ,(ordered w/o) Our sides were wrong or missing; got fries, instead of onion rings, No coleslaw Asked for condiments & tarter sauce, our fish was 1/2 finished before waitress brought it to the table. The manager was apologetic & comped our drinks. But, we won’t be back.The waitress told us before we ordered, “ Our kitchen has been a “shit- show tonight”. They got that right.

Awesome little former General Store-turned CasualRestaurant and Bar. Lots of memorabilia from the past as decor. The burgers are just great, I Love the Black n Bleu, SO good. Boneless Chicken Wings are awesome also, as are the salads. Each meal comes with a delicious old-fashioned deviled egg.Plenty of televisions’ to watch the Games! Clean and Neat. Give it a try! Sunday Brunch is AMAZING!

As if the food wasn't superb on it's own, the service is so "home town/small town" friendly and welcoming! Really enjoy the daily specials and that macaroni salad is the best in the Midwest! Their tenderloin sandwich should be entered in the Iowa best tenderloin contest!

Good food and great service! Went for dinner and they had live entertainment on the patio, which is heated. The staff did an awesome job keeping the wood stove going to keep everyone comfortable on the patio when it was below 0° outside! Awesome place!

Standard bar food. It wasn't bad, but it won't knock you off your feet. The appetizers were our preferred, the onion rings and the cheese curds. I would have preferred just more of that in hindsight. Polite staff though, even gave us cups of soda for the road! As an extra bonus, there's a very small grocery in the corner of the room, if you decide you need something while you're out at dinner.

Had one good experience there thought I would go back. Big mistake. Waitress never took my husbands order. Then when she did it wasn't till everyone else in the group was getting their food. He didn't want to wait around for his food so he just ordered salad bar. He said he had had better. My nieces family ordered hamburgers and they were real salty for some reason. Don't know if it was an off night or what but probably won't suggest it for a family gathering spot again when I go visit.

The sidewinder fries are my favorite, then comes the pulled pork sandwich. If they're busy the service slacks a bit. It seems the establishment themselves puts a bit of strain on the waitresses' workloads, but the waitresses always keep a smile. The atmosphere is nice though. Especially if you're there to sit at the bar, get drunk, and watch a sports event on one of their MANY TVs. The general store is a pretty cool touch.

My sandwich left a great deal to be desired. Meat was red in the middle. I took a few bites and the closer I got to the middle, the raw meat became more so. I decided to eat just the bun, it was dry and not tasty. First time ever at this restaurant and it will be the last. Telling bartender about it and she said "sorry". Over $8.00 for a sandwich, a simple burger.

2 for 2. Thursday night is Mexican night and we have never been disappointed but tonight was exceptional. The steak burrito bowls were incredible - Sophia's Special. We live relatively close and last Saturday had spent the day working in the yard. We were hot, tired and didn't want to cook dinner. Okay, I didn't want to cook dinner. We went to The Depot and the night's special was grilled shrimp - again amazing! If you haven't been to the Depot recently you need to check it out. And just a suggestion - ask the servers what they recommend!

Came in for dinner this evening. It was busy, so I expected some slow service and have no issues waiting for great service even if it is busy. However, I was extremely disappointed this evening. Little slow on taking orders, however, I was ok with it as it was busy. It was after this that I started to lose my cool. The table behind us ordered after us, ate, paid, and left and we still had to wait for quite a while for our food. A second table across the bar that came in after us got their food before us. Finally, after an hour and 15ish minutes, 3 of the 4 kids got their food. After another 5 or so minutes, 2 of the 4 adults and the last kid got their meal. They attempted to bring the last 2 adults their meals, but they were not anywhere close to correct. The waitress went back to the kitchen, and a few minutes later brought our ladt 2 meals out. The fries were not completely cooked, very greasy and not close to crispy. I took one bite of my burger, and I could see it was a frozen burger patty that was cooked on the outside, but pink on the inside. I immediately pulled the burger off and stopped eating. When the waitress came back to check on us, I showed her my burger and said I was not waiting an hour plus for them to fix it. My wife's burger was also not appetizing to look at, and she did not want to wait either. The waitress took them off the bill and I'm now at home enjoying my $2.50 Tombstone pizza that will be tastier, quicker, cooked properly. Doubt I will be back at The Depot without some major changes.On a side note, at about the hour and ten minute mark, another family I know came into the bar and we told them they should leave due to the poor service at that time. They heeded our advice and left to a better establishment.

Great little hide away, just 10 minutes north of Davenport. My favorite are the catfish nuggets and their Sunday brunch is very good. Worth the trip; great value!

We almost went to Clinton today... but we took an unknown road that curved and swooped and ended up in a quaint little iowan town. Delicious lunch "blue balls" with house garlic-parmesan sauce, amazing handmade raspberry-jalepeno jam, and a totally co-chill owner - who made us feel like longtime friends! Such a great afternoon! And, there's a porch swing across the way at the Rusty Rooster...

My son and I had the bacon double cheese burger. It was fantastic. Fries also tasted great. Highly recommend you try this restaurant. They have great daily specials as well.

The food was delicious. Service was great. Cost with 2 glasses of Moscato and 1 beer for my husband came to $30.50. I will recommend The Depot for lunch or dinner.

Overpriced thrown together food that tastes like extra leftovers they had laying around. Good customer service though besides the manager talking to employees about how the place needed to be ran in front of all the guests.

I like just not busy and can't get waited on busy talking or playing on damn cell phone! Omg. Only ordered an appetizer had to walk up to waitress to order since two girls were having a conversation (guessing life or death conversation) she never came back to take out order. I have only been there twice, in the last 3 or 4 years. The impression I got was just fancy bar type good. That is on the highwe side of the price scale. Service was average, nothing to brag or complain about.
