Very surprised! I expected to wait awhile for them to bring out my purchase. Not today! I maybe waited 3 min, and the only other time I used curbside pickup was almost as fast. From my experience, they have definitely been on top of it! Thank you!

I like to come here at night when it's not so busy. They have some very nice checkers and a big shout out to Sandra who's a friend to everyone. With all the renovations it's still fairly easy to find your everyday items. I like the new layout it's easy to navigate. I am concerned because I have heard they are putting in all self checkouts and if they do that I will drive to Pella or not shop there anymore. I feel with the rising prices that customer service is even more important than before. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I Walmart has decent prices compared to grocery stores, they’re open convenient hours. I prefer to be there before 10 o’clock that way I beat the zombies getting up. They pull in the way all the time. Maybe I should get a discount for having to deal with them.

I’m feeling pretty upset at the moment. I am disabled. It’s a struggle to shop and then wait around for open self checkouts. Earlier this week, my son and I went shopping. I was scanning and bagging and next thing I know, my feet are sliding apart and I’m falling. I grabbed the bag holder and place you can set your bagged groceries so I didn’t end up on the floor. It seemed extremely slippery. I had normal tennis shoes on. I hurt pretty badly for a couple days due to the way my legs went and probably tore my rotator cuff yet again from how I caught myself. I didn’t say anything to management as I thought it was just a me thing. However, I went back with my son for a few things today and an exchange. We were in a different self checkout than earlier this week and I was still hanging onto cart when I started sliding and would have fallen again. I had winter boots on today. Even my son noticed the floor was very slippery. I gave him my card to finish up and headed to customer service for my exchange. I asked the girl working self checkout why the floor was so slippery. She said that they wax them every day. I told her it was dangerous, that I’d already hurt myself once that week and maybe she could bring up to management. I told cashier in customer service the same and she said manager was right there and asked if I wanted to tell her. Didn’t help that she got manager by saying “this lady fell and wants to talk to you”. I explained everything to the manager and told her that the checkout employee told me that the floors are waxed every day. She denied that immediately. Then she asked “so what, do you want to file a complaint or something?” I was taken aback by the attitude and said no at first. But I asked her to look at the floors with me. Even her shoes slid easily. She rolled her eyes and asked what I expected her to do. I told her she may not want other people to get hurt and I left. I wasn’t going to file a formal complaint originally. Yes, I am a little injured from the first fall but I didn’t go to my doctor immediately. I did actually call and left a message because I need seen for something else and told her I had fallen and my shoulder was really bothering me. I don’t have appointment set yet. I’m seriously considering filing a formal complaint now because the more I think about the attitude of management and the fact that either she or the employee lied about waxing the floors every day is making me more angry. I have unstable joints already. I injure easily. But what if it were an elderly person or small child and they were hurt worse than me. Hell, anyone could be hurt worse than me. And yes, you could absolutely see the shine on the floors. Only in the checkout areas, nowhere else did I have issues or slippery floors. It’s where we shop because it’s what we can afford. I don’t want to be afraid of falling every time I go there. It’s not like I’m seeking monetary compensation but being lied to and treated the way I was by management, that’s just unacceptable.

I was able to find everything I need and to me, that's enough. I did buy something that I needed to return but was unable to because no one was at the counter and I stood there for like 15 mins. I just gave it to someone homeless since it was a jacket. No loss there, but the store itself isn't that clean. The floors are always packed with either boxes or clothes and the staff just seem to walk right by when they see it. Fresh produce and Walmart prices. So all in all, it's Walmart, what do you expect?

I am very pleased how this store is run considering the amount of people that come and go. It is clean and tidy. I usually shop groceries because of quality as well as low price. The produce here is awesome! Occasionally, at busy times, some stock may be low, but there is a worker replacing in timely manner. Having self checkout keeps price low. Shopping does take time. People need to be patient and understanding of this. Employees are busy and some may not smile, but they do their job well. I do understand everyone is different. I, myself work with a few autistic people that know their job and speak very little. Thank you for all you do!

Sam would be rolling over in his grave on the state of Walmart and not only how employees are treated but how employees treat customers. This used to be the greatest American made go-to shopping center .....I only go there if I absolutely have to. But don't recommend it

Awful never any checkers anymore. If I wanted to check out my own groceries I would get a job there, the only thing its doing is putting people out of work. Wake up people, our citizens need paying jobs to keep us strong.

Shout out to Logan for making my boyfriend and I feel like criminals while using the self check out. He asked us 3+ times if we had scanned our grill on the bottom of our cart along with the other large items we had in our cart that we could simply use the gun to scan. I know what you're thinking, but the 17 year old was literally holding the device they use to monitor each check out line. I know you can see literally every item I have scanned Logan. When asked if we looked like criminals Logans reply was "you're only missing a cowboy hat." I don't know about you but that set me off as a Caucasian woman shopping with her Spanish boyfriend. Do better Walmart.

I haven’t shopped in a Wal Mart for years but they had the gluten free noodles I needed for my niece so I had to go. I struggled to find the noodles in the Super Center but Bim made eye contact with me and offered assistance! I had the noodles in no time at all.The store was clean and several staff smiled and asked if I needed help as I wandered around and picked up some other staples. I’ll go back soon!

Didnt know walmart was supporting every country but ours, got a guy at the front checking receipts and saying hello who only speaks spanish as I look for the next person to ask where the items I'm looking for are I get a woman speaking russian and the same with the next I did manage to finally find one english speaking girl in the store who directed me to the items I needed. As if this place wasnt bad enough with the 1 lane open and rude as employees legit another non english speaking employee ran her cart of milk she was putting away strait into me and looked at me like "why are you in my way" and couldnt speak enough english to say excuse me just the words "you move you move" if trump ever gets back on office going to be alot of openings at walmart.

Manager was extremely rude I had a young boy come charging with his arms out yelling and acting crazy so my service dog let out one bark. Manager came up and asked if he was a service dog did not ask me what happened or nothing. I don't care if I had a mini toy poodle if someone comes running towards it like there is something wrong with them even the toy poodle may bark from fear, warning, or just the unknown. Terrible Manager to assume I am bringing in a non service dog versus asking what happened. Bad parents and uneducated parents is the real issue. The other problem with this Walmart is if you are not Hispanic you are likely not to find anything. This store caters to Hispanic as if they are the only people on this side of town. Trust me I have zero issues with any other race but a Walmart especially should cater to all races not just one. I bet I will NEVER find a Walmart that caters to all Black, that would never happen, just sayin!

this guy named logan who works there stopped a bunch of criminals right infront of my very eyes! He glided into the map like it was fortnite and threw a shield bubble to protect the customers!! After that he shockwaved the robbers out the door and paid for everyones groceries. What a true hero!

I shopped and got stuff, then I left. Lol, the truth is that they have the isles full of pallets of merchandise to stock the shelves and so you can't get around easily or hardly. And barely any of the employees know the English language. So don't even try to get pointed in the right direction.

Frankie on the closing shift, Friday night was my savior as he was the only person savvy enough and knowledgeable to wipe and reset my phone bringing up all my messages and backed up data beating the hours I spent at several stores and other expert repair shops who were unable to deliver results - this guy needs a raise and I am sure he will be rewarded for the outstanding customer service he delivered thank you - thank you sir you the man!!

Got berated by an employee for moving items that were in the wrong spot to try to hopefully find the correct product. Later I was coerced (do what we say or else!) by the greeter near the food entrance to show my receipt, but multiple people walked out without having to show theirs, same circumstances of some stuff not in bags.

This was one of the most organized and clean Walmarts I have been to recently. Staff were friendly and there actually were cashier on registers. Keep it up Des Moines.

Maybe if the curbside pickup worker would pay attention to what he was doing instead of asking me if I have a boyfriend or hitting on me with his pants half way down maybe my curbside pickups would’ve gone a lot smoother. My delivery (for someone else mind you) was missing a lot of stuff and didn’t even have any bags!!! He just threw the stuff in without bags which made it a hassle for the customer I was delivery to through Spark. So thanks a lot for the one star rating. Hope whoever got the rest of the groceries enjoys them while I got a bad rating. 🙄

Employees stand around on their phones, they don't pick up trash off the floor, they play tag whole working, yell across the isles at each other. The store looks terrible. Most of them don't do their job. Go elsewhere. Anything goes there.

I got to Walmart at 6:30am to get a new tire they open late 7:10am I come in I was telling them I got to get a new tire the guy start to yell at me because two people call in he was very very rude I was on the phone with the other Walmart on west dsm they heard him said they said the same thing! His hair color was white old guy very rude guy! I never had a problem like this!

I placed a pickup order yesterday and when I got there, the store had apparently been evacuated due to a gas leak and I was unable to pickup my order. I was frustrated that I wasn't notified about the situation before I got to the store and annoyed that it took nearly 15 minutes for an employee to take the initiative to explain the situation to me. I was able to pick up my order today, but my experience yesterday was disappointing.

I make an appointment bring my car, wait for 40 mins just for them to tell me that they don’t carry the oil filter for my vehicle. Very unprofessional, they tell me I need to go get the oil filter then I come back and have to wait again. This is ridiculous and what a bad experience to be the first time having service here. I am never coming back and I would never recommend this place.

Now I know y they put self checkout in stores. Cuz these cashiers dont know how to do there jobs right. I had a divider in between 2 of my orders. And they still ran it together. And I started to tell them they need to b retrained & do ur job right. Then I asked for $20.00 cash back. When I got to my car I realized I didnt get my $. So I went back in & they refused to give me my $. So I called the cops. While we was waiting my husband went in & got the $. Now on Im either doing self checkout or go to Altoona or Hyvee

Not enough staff VS customer,no pricing labels.and not enough handicap carts,non handicap people are using them,and leaving them outside. Need signs posted,to keep them inside..really need addressed.
