Brought a friend for his first time maid rite experience. Cashier was friendly and took our order quickly. Guy preparing the food took a couple minutes to get started because he was on his phone, guess he decided to save time by not washing his hands in between, gross. Food was good, hot, large portion. Left both a cash and suggestion tip (All the germs that go from your face to your phone to your hands to the food can be removed if you’ll just wash your hands properly between the phone and the food prep)

Bryan at the Maid Rite in the Mall in Des Moines provided us with stellar customer service! And his food tasted great. My wife’s first taste of Maid Rite was a the best I could ask for.

Stopped to get a quick snack for me and my kids of fries and a drink. Super friendly service, nice to my kids (gave them some cookies) and gave me paper towels to clean up when my hooligans spilled the drink all over. We have been here before and will totally be back again to support this great establishment.

Happened to be at the Merle Hay Mall, decided to have a malted milk at the Maid Rite. Standing in line, the young chap in front of me got some onion rings - they looked really good, so I bought an order of onion rings to go with my strawberry malted. Delicious! Nice and hot, and the malt was nice and cold. And the woman behind the counter was courteous & friendly. The 'only' reason I didn't give them five stars was because the rings and malt were a little bit pricey for fast food! Otherwise, I'm glad I stopped here today.

Food is pretty good. Prices outrageous! In Merle Hay Mall sparsely populated food court. Merle Hay Mall looks like a bombed out version of its former self with empty stores everywhere. I ordered loose meat with cheese. It was all right--nothing spectacular considering the price. Wouldn't recommend it.

Just by the absolute feeling of love and joy that you get from every delectable morsel, you can tell that the owner is a really nice guy.Every time I come to Maid-Rite, I leave completely satisfied by the loosest of meats that you'll find here in this great state of Iowa. God bless this little gem almost hidden inside Merle Hay Mall. God bless them all, everyone.

I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this location! The friendly crowd, the workers behind the counter, the food that is to die for! I have tried everything on the menu, and I enjoyed every food item. I eat here whenever I am out and about because the food is fresh, the employees and owner are kind and thoughtful, and it's for a reasonable price!

Love maid rite. However, when I brought my family to this one around five o clock on a week night, we were very disappointed. We waited for the man working to be ready to take out order (10 mins), when he came to the counter her sighed loudly and stated, "well, I don't even know if I can do this, I don't have time to make your food. I have a doctor's appointment." Not wanting to be served by someone who doesn't want to serve me, I told him we'd leave, and that he shouldn't treat people like that. He then took the order of the next lady. I will never be back.

I have heard about Maid-Rite burgers for years but have never tried it. We saw this one so stopped for a late lunch. Their burgers were like Sloppy Joe's without the "sloppy". The burgers were OK and the fries were good.

The food tasted really good, but the chicken strip basket that i paid almost 10 dollars for consisted of a good amounts of fries, but 3 very small chicken strips. The strips looked more like over sized nuggets.

Friendly and polite staff!Kid-friendliness: The staff made sure the kids had a good experience with a first time experience with Maid-Rite.Wheelchair accessibility: Seating arrangements and order counter are wheelchair accessible. And I believe the staff would accommodate in every possible way if anything was inaccessible.
