I had a rather unpleasant experience at the emergency vet in Des Moines and was quoted an outrageous price so I opted to make a last minute appt with ingersoll vet in the morning after as my dog was stable. I was very quickly booked for a same day appt and my dog was back to good health, good spirits and all his shots updated for an extremely affordable price. The staff was very kind amidst my anxiety and stress with my dog being stabbed by a neighbor. Thank you so much. Will be booking my others dog here from now on.

Just wanna take a minute to say how wonderful all the staff at Ingersoll animal Hospital is but a great big shout out to the groomer Chrissa who does an absolute fantastic job on my sweet for a baby Lily lace!!!!I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else if you’re looking for a great place to have your fur baby pampered for a day this is a place to go no doubt about it!!!!I’m also gonna throw out there that one of my other babies was sick and probably would not have made it without care of the vet there. You can tell that she really has a heart for animals. They’re not just animals to her. They understand that there are for babies absolutely love Ingersoll animals Hospital!!!!

I took Leo, my 11 yr. Old cat in for his nail trim! The young lady who took him back was so kind and I knew Leo was in good hands! When she brought him back I was so pleased to hear he was a good boy! Thank you so much!

I recently adopted a cat from my local humane society. She was malnourished and could not keep food down. Ingersoll Animal Hospital was able to schedule an appointment the day I called. During my visit I could tell the compassion they have for animals! Tilly is feeling so great after the medication and modifications they provided. Highly recommend this vet!! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly (:

We're new to Ingersoll Animal Hospital and had a good experience overall. The staff seemed friendly, although the young woman at check-in didn't seem to be all that motivated to help us when we came in. I guess my only other observation - and, I get this is a vet - but, do the rooms get cleaned? I ask because the exam room we were put in smelled like the worst wet dog odor I've ever smelled. Not expecting floral notes and a gallon of bleach, but... I'm not sure I've ever been in an exam room at a vet that smelled this bad.The care beyond the initial welcome was good... I just overall felt like there was some clunkiness along the way. Besides the intense odor of the exam room...Again, not exactly a warm & fuzzy greeting upon arrival... or really at all from the front desk person. I think were slightly inconveniencing her quiet morning.When did vets start telling owners, "you need to weigh him" - again, front desk person. Yes, these were the first words spoken. Seems like they used to do this as part of the exam.When checking out, we started to wrap things up at the counter and another team member walks up and suddenly, we're invisible again. The two have a several minute exchange about another pet in the middle of me standing there. I dunno, it just seems like the other team member could have timed things a bit better.I just want to feel like my vet genuinely is caring and friendly and available throughout my experience. Especially as a new patient. This definitely did not feel like that at check in OR check out.And... I guess while I'm here. The vet wanted to give my puppy treats to sort of comfort him. I had brought treats with but he (the vet) seemed apprehensive about giving him one of the treats I had. My thing is, if you want him to be comfortable and willing to come to a stranger in a strange place - my thoughts are, hand him a treat he's familiar with and loves. I didn't understand the hesitation.So, after thinking through our whole experience. I guess my jury is still out a bit. The other reviews are good and the location is close by. But I just had really mixed vibes at times, some really key times.

we had a cat that was at least 18-19 yrs old, we had her for 17 yrs, her first 1st 15 yrs w/ us were enjoyable for her. but eventually, all she did was eat & drink, poop & pee, & sleep. & she started peeing outside the litterbox. & after (quite) a few mo's, i thought it was prob time to let her go. took her into IAH a couple times to talk to the vet & possibly have her put down, but was talked (guilted) out of it by the vet. this happened two separate times. the vet had me buy special cat food, bags of saline & a needle to put in the cat's back, which filled her back with saline (& made her look like a camel). this made her existence even less comfortable for her -- & for me too. finally had to ask IAH to not schedule any of my appts w/ that vet. & finally was able to let her go in may last yr -- after i discovered she'd been peeing mainly in another area on the floor. she was obv not happy, in pain, very tired. also had to let our 8 yr old dog go a few wks ago, & i was not happy w/ the care my dog recvd at the end of his life either.

Top notch service and professionalism. They were able to remove a cancerous tumor from my 16 year old cat without difficulty. Moreover Dr. Fry is wonderful as she fully explained the procedure, risks and rewards thoroughly prior to making any decisions. So happy my kitty is home recovering without issue. Thank you.

I have a “spicy” cat who is very difficult. I was amazed at how patient the vet and tech were with her. I felt the prices were reasonable and they were explained thoroughly. I also appreciated that the office was clean and that even though our appointment was later in the day that Ruthie was taken to her room quickly.

My sweet Kona was turned away from another Vet because they had tried everything for her allergies. She is only two so the thought of her being miserable for the next 10 years broke my heart. This photo doesn't quite show how severe her allergies were. She had sores all over from itching and didn't have hair on most of her body. I decided to make an appointment with Ingersoll Animal Hospital to get another opinion. In just two months, our dog finally has hair and isn't miserable itching all day. All the redness and sores are completely gone. I really want to thank everyone at Ingersoll Animal Hospital for taking on this challenge and sticking with us to find a solution.

I came with my new 4-month old puppy and my experience overall was uneasy. I mentioned that I am a new dog mom and asked many questions of concern and they were dismissive. After talking to multiple friends who go to different vets in the area, about what a standard check up should look like, they informed me a stool sample should be requested and they did not do that here, even when I asked about it - my friends mentioned that blood work is typically done, especially to make sure they are healthy, they did not do that here. When I asked for rabies vaccine, they tried to dismiss me and I insisted she had it done at this appointment. Overall was just disappointing and left me feeling uneasy.

We love Ingersoll Animal Hospital! We starting bringing our cat here about 5 years ago. All of the techs, vets and office staff we have worked with are incredible. They explain everything throughly and offer multiple treatment plans (if possible). I appreciate their transparency with price and payment as well. The grooming was above & beyond what I expected. They did a very thorough intake to make sure we were both on the same page with what we wanted his grooming to entail. I was nervous b/c our dog has severe anxiety but the staff was WONDERFUL to him. (Of course I'm not surprised since they are affiliated with Pawsitive Strides where our dog is a patient.) Bear looked so handsome and was very happy with his experience- so were his humans!

Parents took their cat in for a check up on a Friday, cat ended up dying the next morning. The bloodwork and health reports didn’t seem terrible. I would question the health check if death was knocking on the door that close. Please take your love ones to a place that would care. Would not recommend this vet.

I'm surprised by the positive revies. This is a clinic that is known for taking advantage of pet owners. They will do testing that is not necessary. We had an incident with our animal who was limping. Instead of starting with antibiotics in case it was an infected nail, they did xrays, blood draws, ect. and 1300.00 later, we found out all she needed was antibiotics. They wouldn't give her a second round of antibiotics even though she was almost fully healed, they insisted on more tests. We took her in again and they insisted on more x-rays b/c the new vet said that the previous results were inconclusive (not what we were told initially). When I said that we were never told that, she just re-prescribed the same antibiotic and now our animal is just fine. It's terrible that they take advantage of pet owners like this. They should start with more conservative measures first and then progress to more costly ones. A bunch of wasted money. Find a new vet.
