What a terrible experience! I'd give ZERO STARS if it was possible. Typically, Hy-Vee stores are super clean and their employees are a joy to deal with ("Hy-Vee, where there's a friendly smile in every isle") but not on this visit! We will certainly never be back to this store. Here's why:The lady working in the Chinese food "restaurant" was TERRIBLY RUDE and behaved as if we were putting her out by simply ordering food! Then, we walked into the onsite Hy-Vee bar/restaurant to eat our food and it was a mess! Tables and booths were dirty, there were drink glasses and a plate with cut up watermelon rind and knife on it, along with someone's wallet sitting on the bar top... and not a single employee in site to clean the mess, greet us, or offer us something to drink. We should have left the food we ordered in the bar/restaurant without paying and gone home. We didn't, though. We paid for our food in a checkout lane and went home... never to return.Whoever manages this Hy-Vee store should be ashamed of themselves. What a disappointment.

Updated review.No issues in the general store itself. Typically clean & organized with help available at least in the front.Individual restrooms are nice. Cleaned daily it seems.Management has been appearing to listen & try to improve when there are issues. And make positive improvements with customers in mind. It's appreciated.

It is abysmal. I went in there to get a cake for my son’s birthday party. When I asked the people at the deli to write a message on it they never did. Their selection of alcohol is also very limited. The only good thing about this store is Mandy who works at customer service. She always has a smile on her face! She’s one of the only reasons I’m giving a 3/5!

workers gave me stink eye as I left. I had an autistic freakout in the sesh aisle. Nearly thought I was dyinf but insyead I left a novel on the floor and then someone stole it. Will not be coming back

This is the prototype for full service grocers to follow. You could take a date to their dining area and impress her! If you can't find it here, talk to the staff. Always willing to help.Please come to Phoenix!

I lost my phone and CC (she is one of the managers there) called me an UBER as I couldn't because I didn't have my phone. she not only called an Uber she actually paid for it for me. She said" I know your having a tough Day" and she just wanted to help. Unbelievable customer service and a great person thank you so 🙏 much cc and Hy-Vee

The bathroom could use a bit of cleaning. All in all, a pretty good store, otherwise! If you need something in a hurry, it’s a great place to stop by!

If you are new to Iowa, Hyvee is the Publix of Iowa. It’s the grocery store where your $100 will not go as far as Aldi’s, Walmart, or Fareway, but they typically carry everything you need grocery wise. Hyvee may not be cheap, but their produce and meat does last longer in your fridge than produce from Fareway. Fareway is not much cheaper than Hyvee. If Aldis had a pharmacy, I think that would kill off a lot of Hyvee locations.

By the fastest I've ever been through a hobby picked up everything I needed. Note Hy-Vee. When you only have one Checker and there's multiple people in line behind there and you use a self-checkout. There should be a place that we can enter our phone number because not everybody carries a Hy-Vee card on them at all times. Other than that everything went perfect today except had to wait for associate to come put in my number. Not only isn't that a waste of time for the associate that has probably more hurting things to do besides taking out the trash.

I like the new store layout and find it makes sense even though I had to read the Aisle signs until I get used to the layout. I had a fantastic checker and bagger. They were friendly, communicative, never once said anything negative and were very efficient at the same time.I am seeing empty shelves at every store but there were definitely less empty spots than anywhere else.The store was clean and free from debris which is hard to manage at a busy store but the stickers were picking up as they went to make the debris less hazardous and shoddy. I was pleased with my findings except 1 item. The Driscoll strawberries were moldy one day after buying them so I wasn't very pleased with that but it's probably why they were fairly inexpensive.

Produce area is very small and they seem to be out of stuff often. That whole area when you first walk in to the store is soooo crowded. Floral area is beautiful. Wish it was closer to the cafe. Would be enjoyable to eat lunch while veiwing the lastest plants/flowers that have arrived. Miss the old open area of seating. Why do they think i want to eat my lunch in a dark cave? Not fond of the redone health market area. This store was small already and now we lost all that space to the healthmarket. The one thing that makes this store stand out is the people. Amazing employees. Helpful and kind. Treat them nice and they will go that extra mile for you.

Bought 2 dozen donuts for the office. They were the pre-boxed ones so I didn't have to wait. They were AWFUL! The cake donut was so dry that it was inedible! When I called to tell them they said that those donuts were the day old ones which is why they were discounted - First, there was no sign saying "day old". Second, $6.99 for 1/2 dozen is not discounted! Third, these were so bad you couldn't even call them day old!! NO offer to make it right - just sorry, too bad. (WDM #1 store)Update: after posting this review, the store manager contacted me and made things right. Thank you!

You do not provide superior customer service. From your sackers placing one item in multiple sacks to Eric refusing to throw away trash underneath the register for you but instead tells you where the next nearest trash is for you to do it yourself. My husband and I even a checker walk away after ringing us up, leaving us to sack the rest of our groceries and place them in the cart. I WILL NOT CONTACT SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOU WITH MY PROBLEM WITH YOUR STORE THAT IS NOT MY JOB. I would rather boycott my neighborhood Hyvee altogether. Thanks.

I wish I had positive words for HyVee. I feel like I am going to sound like Jeff Daniel's "Newsroom 2012's" speech. What happened to the HyVee I used to know? Well staffed, excellent selection, and employees who used to take you to products you can't find? There is NOT a smile in every aisle ... there aren't enough people working there. The selection of products has decreased. The non-organic lettuce was so small and loose-leafed that it should have been marked 75 cents, not $2. I almost gave it CPR so that it might increase its girth. Oh, and get this ... I wanted to puchase HyVee brand Kiwi Strawberry carbonated flavored water. They placed all of the flavors on the top shelf when, for the last 8 years, it was on the middle shelf. The price increased by 20%. On the middle shelf was a new HyVee carbonated beverage for more cash Ola. I had to step on the bottom shelf and stretch big time to reach the ones I came in for. Now, Spud Webb is my height ... I can't jump like he can! Finally, the last complaint. Some of us use the many-stalled car wash by West Des Moines' HyVee. I used their gas station next to it. While I was inserting my credit card, it asked if I wanted a car wash, which I was planning to do anyway. I wanted the least expensive one, so I placed it on my card. When I pulled up to the car wash to enter my CODE, there was a less expensive wash that was not on the selection of car washes! Darn it...you got me again HyVee! Sorely disappointed.

I ordered a birthday cake to be delivered to my daughter and the Hy-Vee bakery staff did a excellent overall job. The cake was made exactly as I ordered with an over the top design with the decorations. My daughter attested that the taste was as excellent as the look of the cake. I order the cake from out of state and my local bank caused problems with my debit card being used out of state. The Hy-Vee staff work with me to overcome this bank issue. Quality service throughout the entire process. Excellent job Hy-Vee bakery people!

HORRIBLE meals from Hy-Vee deli area. Daily Special sesame seed chicken, fried rice and egg roll. Egg roll was actually good. Hence the 1 star rating. We ordered and ate at 11:30 am. Should be fresh, right? WRONG!!! Chicken was dried out and Luke warm. Tasted like it had sat there for hours. Same with the fried rice. My wife's lo-mein was also cold. What is wrong with this place? Also, two $7.99 meals with two $2.49 fountain beverages and I was charged $25! Huh??? $4 tax on a $21 order??? Good grief!!!
