Decent deal on Thursdays from 4 pm til 7pm, a steak cooked as near to perfection as possible with a baked potato and green beans for $10. Can't beat it. Miss Kennedy was very professional, polite, and warm and welcoming, and the young grill master working with her is an absolute steak whisperer, but he didn't have a name tag on so I didn't catch his name.

Hy-Vee used to be where I preferred to shop, but anymore it seems like there are fewer "helpful smiles" every time I go in, not because no one is working, but because they seem too busy to help when asked. I'll probably still go back, but something to think about, I suppose.

Well yesterday PO me because I got home threw sack in fridge went to eat & see they charge me 55.00 for 2 breaded tenderloins .I took them back today & fix it meat guy hit. 22 tenderloins when I hand 2 and it was 2 for 5 $. But honestly a mistake on then all good now so make sure you look at your after wrapping could save ya another trip.

so I just left hyvee on Euclid I went to get cough drops, face masks, and some drinks. When I got to self checkout I rang up my stuff and I was unfortunately about 3 dollars short so I asked the kind lady at self check out if she could take off one of the pops as I really needed the medication. She proceeded to ask me how much I was short and I told her and she so kind heartedly offered to pay the difference. She made my entire week. I wanted to talk to a manager and let them know about their amazing and kind employee but unfortunately did not see one as I left the store so I wanted to write a review. I hope that kind hearted women and her managers see this. Thank you

The last couple of times on Wednesday night the market grille was closed due to "no bartender". Can they not have someone cook and bring the food out? It is not difficult to write an order down. Also, the food under their heat lamps in the deli area and Chinese looked awful. Dried out and disgusting. We ended up going to the Chicken shack to eat.

I go to hyvee almost every week I possibly can for my weekly dinner special 4-7pm for years and tonight they tell me they are only taking cash outside for my dinner or they can write me a ticket which is fine so I leave and comeback with enough cash for my dinner before 7pm and then they say to me they are out and this is all we have….yeah read that again how does a grocery store that serves prepared food run out of food? Now I’m hangry

The stars mean how many employees I had to go through with requesting and locating products. The first experience I had I called aisles online to look up some wings that were fulfilled by DoorDash but through Hy-Vee. I asked why they weren’t pulling up online the individual said they can’t see everything in the database but said they’d call me back and see if they could order the product. Weeks went by and no call back. Then I called in the evening and asked someone else to request the item no follow up. I finally asked door dash where they had found the item in a different hyvee. The most recent experience I had I came to pickup a cake so I thought I’d grab an on sale item I had picked up a couple months ago I couldn’t find it so I asked someone at checkout. They gave me a manager and then the manager sent me to another employee. I then called aisles online and they explained sometimes the item may be ordered through their system but may not be able to be fulfilled consistently so they asked the meat department and the manager at market grille to order it so it can be in stock consistently. I called a different hyvee and they were able to locate the meal kit just by looking it up. It should have not taken that many people and attempts to get a resolution. I won’t come or call to this location if I have questions. I’ll go where the inventory is consistent. Never had an experience like these at other hyvees

A great grocery store for your grocery shopping needs. This venerable location has been a fixture in this community for ages, and the remodel has been a delight. The prices are decent, the location is good, the service is friendly, and the store is quite clean. Whenever I'm in Des Moines, this is my grocery store.

Even though it's ridiculously busy some times, expensive (like everywhere else) and even though their staff at the self check out harasses everyone I know, I still love this place!! Easy, convenient and staff is usually pretty decent.

Worthless place. When addressing issues to management they could care less. Shut down this store you're no longer needed here. We have Fareway and Aldi's to go to. You lost a 40 year customer.

Im in Hyvee a lot I had the worse experience today. I was doing a instacart order I waited in line for 10mins asked two people to get me help for someone to check my instacart order out waiting very patiently the whole time being watched by the police officer on duty standing in the front. After the lady checks my instacart order out I proceed to move over to the self check out to purchase my own item. The officer then steps up to me and ask me if I purchased the stuff in my cart and I ask him is he forreal he says yes cause its not in a bag. It was a 16 lb bag of dog food how would it fit in a bag and luckily the lady that checked my instacart order out was close by to vouch that it was a instacart order. I was so mad I left my item and proceed to leave. Before I could get out the store Im stopped by another employee a light skinned girl with a ponytail that has worked there for a long time who also tries to accuse me of stealing. What really pissed me off is that I literally waited 10mins to get help but get accused of stealing in 30 seconds by two people who were literally standing right in the front of the store but couldn't help check out a order I will never step foot in that store again its so embarrassing and its sad because they're some really cool people who work there.

the staff are Great but the corporate offices refuses to make repairs in a timely manner to the facility the new layout forces you to navigate dozens of obstacles that make it really inconvenient to shop here and frustrating to get in and out.

Most the time has great stock, but did the cereal deal (because my son is obsessed with cereal) and nearly filled my trunk. Do a lot of drive up as well, and they are always nice and load my trunk. Shop here frequently!

I use their can redemption quite often and I always usually end up showing up around 6 or 6:30pm, so I don't give myself much time to actually get my cans all put through the machines. But the guys working are always very kind and let me finish out what I'm doing, because I'm only returning the cans for gas money, so their kindness for letting me finish what I was doing helps a lot..

The store itself is awesome. I love the grocery store and it's staff. As for the restaurant/hot food service I would say -10. Went into restaurant, no one was there, when I say no one. Not a soul. Sign says order at bar. No one was there. Stood for about 10 min. And went to find someone, finally, I found someone to take our order. Paid before we even ate. So she took our order and bounced. Never saw her again. Out food came up and I heard a lady(only person) back there. Scream order up. Well no one was there so I told her ill just come to pick up window myself and grab my food. And I did. Again Never seeing a soul again. Ate and left. What the heck kinda restraunt has 0 employees and had to go into there area to get my own food. I deserve a paycheck.
