I had a great experience with this facility. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable in their field. I had Taylor as my technician and they were an incredibly delightful person. Very helpful with Gollum and informing me of many new facts. I will be returning here for all my animal needs. 10/10 I would recommend to friends and family.

WOW!!! Just moved here and needed a vet…. I was referred to Hubble and AM SO GRATEFUL for the referral! I LOVE MY DOGS and want the absolute BEST for them! I have met both vets!!! You can’t go wrong with either one!!!! If you’re in need of a new vet, ones that listen… this is your place!!!

We have been going here for a while and love hubbell animal hospital! We have a dog aggressive pitty who is scared of everything and they always do such a good job of making us feel comfortable and always have whats best in mind for our dog.

The staff here are always so friendly, and they treated my cat Oatis so kindly, the tech (Taylor) who took him back, took great care of him, and the doctor and rest of the staff treated him with respect, and made sure his care instructions made sense and encouraged me to ask questions and call back if anything else happened. they treated my concerns seriously and were incredibly kind and conscious of our budget. couldn't recommend this clinic and the people who work here enough.

Such relief after visiting Hubbell Animal Hospital. I’ve been so worried about my boy gsd and the pain he is in. Another clinic was going to charge a lot just to look and see what was going on then said surgery was a real possibility. We decided to get a second opinion and Dr. Joel knew just what was going on and just how to treat it. Although it’s a long term treatment, I am happy that my baby doesn’t have to go through sedation and possibly surgery. I was so impressed and felt immediate relief when we left. The entire staff was wonderful and so helpful! Thank you so much.

Needed to get my chihuahuaIn for a non emergent visit. The reception desk staff , vet tech, and veterinarian were kind and showed genuine concern for our issue. The appointment scheduling was very easy online. Same day appointment available. The location is very close to home and makes it very convenient for next week when she has her dental cleaning.

I love Hubble animal hospital I’ve been going there for years my whole family travels all across Des Moines just to go here prices are sometimes a little high. They will try to work within your budget. it’s totally worth it in my opinion they’ve saved my babies lives on many occasions. Shoutout to Sam because she is always very personable and takes amazing care of my babies and you can tell she loves what she does

I've never been so offended in my life! My dog Tank has health problems and has been really sick. I took him in on monday seen Dr. DeJaynes he recomended change of dog food and multiple meds. Walked out finally feeling like I had hope. Wednesday he started throwing up and choking with multiple shaking. I was up all night with my baby crying in pain, rubbing his neck between choking and having hard time catching his breath. Went back this morning seen Dr. Caligiuri thought it was funny they asked to record me and have me sign a recording paper with a sick dog shaking on my lap. Not knowing what is happening with my dog or if I needed to put him down as he's literally sick the vet comes in and asked me if I'd consider surrendering my dog. I replied No I'd never do that! I was so taken off guard and mad I immediately called these people back to tell them how offended I was after getting him home with an Iv bubble and more meds on top of the other meds. Mind you the techs reply was the Vet only asked me once on top of a signed recording of what was going on with my baby. Once is enough. My dog is very loved and spoiled. I cook his food for him, he drinks botted water, has 2 bins of toys, sleeps with me and goes everywhere with me. I will even borrow money to pay for his care if I have too because he's my life, my best friend. This was unethical how it was handled, unprofessional and very offensive. I walked out of here furious, what is wrong with these people to even do this. There reply to this was the vet doesn't know you and only asked once. Horrible to do that to people who truly love their pets.

My dog is always treated well by all staff. She doesn't mind going and gets thorough exams, informative answers with choices of treatments including costs, positive atmosphere between staff.

The veterinarian is a cold hearted person. I would never ever have someone take care of my pet who refused to see and refuses to try and save a baby kitten that was dying, literally struggling to breathe..could see if it was, not life and death .. Medical doctors take an Oath they do no harm. Well, my kittendied. By the time I arrived at blue pearl ..hospital. It was too late. heart rate was 40 and body temperature was too low..he had aspirated. I’m just mad that the cat suffered another 25 minutes to drive to the other place.Think about before you take your pet to Hubbell Animal Hospital , how you would feel if you’re precious for baby was dying and they refused to see them because you didn’t have an appointment .I can’t even wrap my head around it. Think what kind of a veterinarian will be treating your pet. when they refuse to treat a dying animal, I think it’s horrible. I think the veterinarian is horrible person. It says a lot right there by her refusing to see us. I hope she isn’t in a dying situation sometime in her life and the doctor refuses to see her because they’re too busy. She maybe needs to think about that or him or whoever the veterinarian is. I didn’t even want to give this place

Always had to wait in the clinical room up to a hour or more as my dog went through high anxiety attacks waiting and waiting and waiting. Had my dog cremations sent there and did not call me for days to let me know that they had his remains. I finally had to call them. So I don't know, kinda a big deal. I guess that just did it for me.

I came here for euthanasia for our cat of 15 years. Hubbell animal hospital is the best possible place in town to go through such a difficult thing. They are so caring, professional, competitively priced, and there is a dedicated room for euthanasia where you don't have to go through the lobby or be around anybody else with their pets. I certainly don't *want* to come back for another euthanasia appointment, but when such a time inevitably comes, I will return to hubbell animal hospital feeling confident that my furry family member will have the most peaceful transition possible.

My dog was extremely sick last weekend. He threw up a ton and refused to eat. I feared the absolute worst — that he had just lost his will to live — but took him here to get some meds and different food. When I got home from work that day, he was already slightly better. It's since been a couple days and he's at least back to 95 percent energy. I am just so grateful and overly happy that my dog is ok and eating regularly again.

Nice knowledgeable staff, who seem to care. Gave me a couple different options as well as estimates. After the rough day Doc had he didn't seem to mind the Doctor and staff. Building was nice a clean with food parking...not to mention the dog park a stone throw away !

They're always willing to answer any questions I have with my cat and/or my dog. Both of my pets are getting a bit older so we have to go in a bit more frequently than we used to and I never had to re-explain anything that's going on with either of them. Overall, I'm super happy with the way my pets are treated as well as how I'm treated when I come into the office.

This place is great if you are only going in for regular check-ups. But it is not budget friendly for anything else. One of my cats just recently had to go in to check her levels again after a 2 day hospital stay at Blue Pearl due to getting into lillies. We got charged an exam fee along with the test. The test ended up being more expensive than what we paid at the emergency pet hospital. My husband complained about the cost and they did end up doing a less expensive test. But once we got the results back they wanted to do a more extensive test as they said she had some kidney damage and they needed to know how bad it was. We did the test only to have it come back normal and to learn she is fine. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything other than normal appts!

I am always very happy with my care and service here. My two dogs and my cat have been seen here. I've met 3 of the Vets and they all were excellent and very knowledgeable. One of my dogs had surgery here and as an older dog I was very worried but she did amazing. The rest of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have been taking my dogs to Hubbell for 24 years. The veterinarians are always so knowledgeable and caring. Time is taken to be sure you get a complete understanding of what is happening. Everyone at Hubbell is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Hubbell Animal Hospital!
