As far as Dollar General stores go, this location is very typical. The only real issues are that the building itself is too small for the amount of inventory they have on hand. The parking lot is also quite small and crumbling. The manager, Mike K. is the best thing to happen to this store since it opened!

The entire point of having a cash back option is to give your customers access to cash at no additional charge. Stop ripping them off with your convenience fee!

they are always helpful & knowledgeable. they work hard at keeping it tidied and stocked with a good selection of products. and most importantly, they are genuinely "happy" to be there and it shows.UPDATE 03/13/21: to the young woman working (I will get your name & add it), who helped me with a cord to charge my phone, you went above & beyond! I am so grateful that because of you, I was able to retrieve important pics and other personal data from my phone before having to send in to insurance for reimbursement. I am touched by the kindness you've shown. The world needs more people like you in it!

The evening "Manager" on duty Monday June 5th was very rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with him his reply was "What do you want dude?". I would say that's about the mentality of Dollar General as a whole.

Always a mess in this store. Stuff sitting everywhere! Better last visit. However, bought 1 of 2 bottles of distilled water(because non to be had at normal shopping store) and they were only 2/3rds full! Needed. During blizzard!

This is the best, most organized Dollar General in town. And they have EVERYTHING. And the employees are very friendly, never had a bad experience. But seriously, it's the cleanest and most organized store! Like a giant Walgreens, except everything isn't a total rip-off!

I have been to this Dollar General several times. I wouldn't say I am a regular, but go about once a quarter. The reason for the review is really to give a shout out to the lady working at the register that day. She was so friendly and outgoing that it was contagious. Thank you:)

First Gal who started checking me out was kinda rude. The girl who finished with me was nicer. All around it looks dirty. Also the store stunk of weed when I walked in! Came out still had a stench on me. Overall for a deal I'll go, but not a regular shopping route for me.

The aisles are kind of tight and with high shelves which is challenging for a short person. The GREAT news is that I can always find what I need and staff is helpful if I need help. The staff are always polite and considerate.

My granddaughter and I went together and everyone staff and customers were so cheery and friendly! We always find something fun there for the kids, as well as great prices on cleaning items and quick pick up items are always available!

Very very messy store. Rolltainers all over the place. Can't get down almost all the isles. The isles you can get down have nothing in them. Supposed to have a sale this weekend and literally nothing that's included in the sale is on the floor. It's in the back room. Stock your shelves!! This place has gone to hell

They have a lot of everyday items along with gift cards, cards, frozen foods, and seasonal items. Their digital coupons give you even better deals. Their brands are just as good as name brands only cheaper.

Cluttered, Short Staffed and Lazy Customer Service. I went into buy something,they were sold out. So I found an employee to ask if the product was in stock. The employee said that he wasn't allowed to go check to see if it was. Actually he said" WE" as in all employees. He didn't give an effort to go ask another employee,look up the product or anything useful. Thanks DG for helping me spend my money across the street @ DOLLAR TREE. I told them the story and they laughed and thanked me for my patronage.

Constantly OPENED ON TIME! If you're open up at 8 am then be ready to open your doors at 8 am. This is the first time that this has happened. It happened before the Covid-19 pandemic. I have to wait for over an hour the person who is in charge of opening the doors actually opens them. I don't very often, so I can only imagine how many times this is actually happening. I am contacting someone in charge of this location. The parking lot is full and people have because they are tired of waiting for the person to finish it is that they doing while their customers are waiting to open. This is the store on 63rd Street in West Des Moines, Iowa

Generally a great place. However, a few weeks ago (on a Sunday) there was a sogn on thw soor that they would not be opening until noon. I went home and returned at 12:15; still not open. I ran into one of their employees in the parking lot. Shw told me that she had called the mamager and another key holder and they both didn't answer her calls. I went to the Dollar Store on Ingersoll. As I was returning home I noticed they still weren't open.

The staff were friendly with was especially appreciated since they were grossly under staffed products were simple to locate the store os set up well my reason for rating it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the stores lack of inventory in every isle there were huge empty spaces and what products they did have where slim pickings

When we needed some supplies for a school project the staff stayed we do have those items but they are in the totes yet and we don't have time to look. Really? Isn't it your job to help your customers.

Tasha is very rude and yelling at customers is unacceptable. When im shopping in a store and witness a cashier argue with a customer then tell the young lady when asked to change her attitude towards her "well this is how tasha talk" i left my items and walked out. I refuse to give my money to a company that allows employees to disrespect paying customers in that way.

Lady working had her mask down, took forever to come out while another gentleman and I were waiting in line. And she was talking on her phone while cashing us out. If you're gonna post signs all over, requiring customers to wear masks, your employees probably should too 😉
