I got charged two times. The manager would not even get out of her seat to talk to me from her office. She hid herself and kept telling me she couldn't help me. Worst customer service. This is probably the nastiest dollar general I have ever been too. Don't go here. Save yourself some frustration and time and go somewhere else.

Always really cute stuff for home decor here. I forget about this store alot.Why is it always dead silent in DG stores though? For real.This one is cramped....really messy and dirty out front. Bout time they installed self check out with how short staffed they have been becoming. But on the other hand... if they keeping they're employees stocking the store, then it should look nicer. This store is a messsssss.

I dont expect much coming to dollar general but this was the WORST customer service I've experienced in a long time. I was the only customer in the store. I politely asked the cashier, after making my purchase, if I could use the restroom (they lock them) and the response I received back was a dirty look, an annoyed sigh and a mumbled comment under her breath to another employee. Didnt realize walking 15 feet to the restroom to unlock the door for a paying customer was such a demanding and physically grueling task but clearly it was. Ridiculous

Employees here are often either busy or seem tired, but they are still helpful when you need something.Large variety of products here as well, more than I would have expected from a dollar store.Only real complaint is that the place always seems a little dingy. Most dollar stores are this way, and given that there's usually only 1-2 employees working I can understand. A good cleaning would definitely improve the atmosphere of the store, however.

I like dollar general, and they are upping the quality and design of their household, especially. this dg is a little crowded in the entry way so if their is a line at checkout, you could go eat a little claustrophobic. they always have a clearance aisle and usually a table - which I never go without looking at..employers are all pretty nice. it's always clean and pretty stocked and organized. just don't forget your duffel bag there, and tell them you'll back to get it,( don't have a car) and well they " get rid" of it anyways...that was pretty irritating...and has me thinking of another store now, but it's still the closest so.....

The store is set back behind a Casy gas station. There's parking on both sides of the building. The store is full of merchandise literally as soon as you walk thru the door. I don't know if that's good or bad. I generally go in for household items and its always a good price. I've tried to use the app to save some extra coins but I forget to read the small print so end up paying the original price. The store employees are always nice.

It was a very good experience indeed! I went in in need of some razors and some black shoe polish for my boots. I found quality razors for a great price. I asked the cashier where I could find the Carnauba Wax and she was very helpful and friendly. And the Military Gloss Black Polish was about two bucks cheaper than the price across the street.

Convenient and cheaper. Much less crowded than a Walmart, but don't be alarmed if you hear the loud speakers chime in. Security monitoring is watching/recording the store. Awkward...((just post a sign people!))

I am only giving an additional 2 stars because the tall skinny guy always is helpful when I am looking for something specific. I only wanted to give 1 star due to the other employees in particular the short white haired older lady is very rude and nasty.

I loved this store. Was my go to store. But since last week it has been closed says on the door. Due to no cashiers its closed. I understand due to covid but pay a bit more and maybe you will have more employees....

I like checking out their candles, the salted Carmel is the best. We don't get a lot of stuff here but fun to see what they have thats new. Always seasonal stuff cheap. Word search books, candy, TP, soap.

We went in to use our digital coupon but the minute we walked in our phones got no service until we walked back out. So they have cellphone service blocked in there so you can't use your digital coupons. Will not go in there again. Wonder if corporate knows they are doing this.

Always look forward to going to Dollar General, we love to wander around, look at the vast selection of items. Always have great prices, staff knows us, happy to help. Look forward to next visit.

I like going to Dollar General to pick up cleaning supplies, aleve, and hygiene which is usually always at a lower price then I find other places. And of course I have to mention the Little Debbie Donuts... They are cheaper here and they have a large variety. The reason for the 3 stars is that every time I go in there it is a mess.

I just moved to the east side recently and was glad to see there was a dollar general just up the road from me on hubble, had gone in there a number of times an then the last time I was in there something fell out of my purse, so I pick it up an go about my business getting the things I need,I cross paths with what i assume now to be the manager I would say at least 3 times while I'm there, but not thinking anything of it mind you I might of spent 10 -15 minutes there tops before going to cash out at which time the cashier asks me did I put something in my purse ,I was just like excuse me, then told her if I did whatever it was belonged to me an she was free to search my purse if she needed, at which time she told me she was only doing as she was told to do as the manager apparently only had the balls to follow me around an not actually ask me herself, needless to say they lost my business an I hope they lose alot more, I found their actions just down right rude an horrible I tell everyone not to go to that store, found the family dollar just down the road, so that's a warning to y'all go to any dollar general cept for the one on hubble unless ya wanna be accused of theft, as for me I've taken my money else where

This dollar general needs some work. The workers have very vulgar music playing from the phones and makes the customers feel very uncomfortable if you have to ask where something is at.

Small enough and close to north side of Des Moines. Get stuff get out. That's the reason why I avoid Walmart especially after 4pm.

One of my favorite dollar General. Always huge section of bargain buys and clearance. Lots of clothes too
