All that i ordered was a shake and some fries the fries were pretty good not amazing but not bad and the milkshake was good for ice cream i would recommend coming here because it is cheap and it is good for food I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it but it’s a nice place to get ice cream, shakes, or slushees it’s not in the nicest location but i would recommend it

Yum! I had a small cherry dipped cone and it was really good and actually a pretty good sized cone for being a small. I went through the drive through and the service was fast and friendly. There are many options on the menu and even hot food. I will have to come back to try something else and sit outside in their outdoor seating area.

This place just rocks! Lately, I've been really digging their pumpkin pie tornadoes, but I've also had and loved their slushes, banana splits, Sundays, fries, cheese curds, onion rings, polish sausage, and their banana malts with extra malt powder definitely hit the spot! I started coming here years ago because they were more cost friendly and give you more for your buck than the name brand place. One of my favorite things about this place is that the options and flavors stay the same, but they do add some different things as well. This place is a must visit if you're in the area and a fan of these types of treats.

They charge now for every ingredient in the tornados. They use to give you two and charge for one. And I ordered one with banana, had one piece of banana in the whole thing. Seems like customer satisfaction isn't a priority these days. I'll give them another shot but 3 strikes and I won't return..

When it's warm outside and your in the mood for ice cream but need more than a sugar rush, try dairy zone. Located on east University (near AE dairy), you can get sandwiches, appetizers, and ice cream too.

This is REAL ice cream, not soft serve. The strawberry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake and many other tornadoes are crazy yummy. The grasshopper and peanut butter+chocolate shakes are massively rich. And the fried pickle spears and broccoli poppers are always crisp and perfect amount of salty. Our dogs adore the puppy cones too. Best in Des Moines!

This place is always super busy but they are always fast and efficient while providing yummy treats! They’re truly our family’s favorite — lemon pie tornado with graham cracker instead of pie crust, add cheesecake pieces, the best!!!!

A true east side TRADITION! …and I see why!! Stumbled across them while looking for their competitor- glad I stopped in. Fast friendly service and beautiful smiles. Great menu lots of diary and foot choices- definately worth the drive close to the Fair Grounds. What a great tradition. They even have a practice menu in back to look at prior to getting to order speaker! Well thought out 👍

I tried to order a Large STurtle Sundae in a Waffle Bowll, but the lady I formed me that this was impossible to make a Large o e because the Waffle Bowl was too small.
