Definitely a good little coffee shop. If it was an independently owned one and not a chain, it would be 5 stars. I just have a hard time giving chains 5 stars. Delicious drinks and food. Employee's were very friendly as well!!

Mixing a Caribou Coffee with a bagel place is interesting. Didn't quite have that cozy feel I usually get at Caribou Coffee, but it seemed well set up for the high traffic area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a nice place.

It’s a very clean place with great options to sit down and get some work done, which is what I like to do here. However, I ordered a small smoothie inside and they just forgot about it. I get that it can happen, but it’s happened twice! I was also one of only a few people in there at 2pm on a weekday but I still am shocked that it happened twice, and i’ve only been there three times.

This is the second Caribou coffee I've tried in Des Moines. The one on Ingersoll road is much better as far as taste. Everyone here is really nice and the bagels are awesome, but the signature coffees just aren't as well crafted here.

My husband was trying to be nice today and went for a spinach bagel with egg and bacon. He got a spinach and mushroom. When I went back and spelled out what I wanted to the very rude lady at the window. She ended up giving me an undercooked spinach bagel with HAM. This has to be on purpose and I find it very offensive. No wonder we don’t go here anymore. They really went downhill.

Ridiculous excuse for a sandwich. And when my son asked them to put cream cheese on it they told him it was against the rules. Apparently bagel sandwiches have unwritten rules???? Cream cheese on a bagel is AGAINST THE RULES! Let that sink in.

Pretty annoyed to get to work and find that my bagel with cream cheese has maybe 0.25 oz of cream cheese on it, if even. Especially after waiting at the drive-thru window for a ridiculous amount is of time consider I ordered a black coffee and a non-toasted bagel. Oh and of course I was also prompted to tip.

Whoever was working the drive through 11/17/22 at 9:50 am needs a job that is not in customer service. I ask for a simple modification that they’ve done every time I’ve gone. He said they can’t do it so I order something else politely as possible. He proceeds to keep asking “anything else” over and over as I’m trying to tell him what I would like instead. All of the coffee places around west Des Moines have great service but now I know why I am the only one in line at caribou each morning.

Being out-of-towners, we hadn’t been here since 2019. At some point, the Einstein Brothers part of this coffee shop disappeared. Too bad! Their bagels were so much better then, along with better selection than now.

Went through this morning 12/2/22, ordered a large hot Carmel latte with an extra shot of espresso. I got a large hot cup of flavorless hot water. No coffee flavor, no Carmel flavor, just hot water and milk. So, thanks for the non-flavored steamer?Update, I’ve emailed the address in the reply, no response. 12/19/22Update, I received a response, an email saying that they will let the manager know and then sent a digital gift card. 12/20/22

I had been going to this location on my way to work for several months and occasionally they would run out of whatever breakfast sandwich I wanted that day, which wasn’t a big deal, I just ordered a different one. I switched to online ordering after a few incidences of either missing breakfast or being late for work due to long lines and slow service. Long story short, over the last couple of months they have consistently been out of the item i wanted but never removed the items from the online menu. I would walk in, in a hurry to get to work and see my coffee but no food. I would then have to wait in line to be told they were out of that item (blueberries for several days in a row at one point) and then wait for something else to be made, making me late for work. One item was consistently out for several days but was never removed from the online menu. When rushing to make my replacement food They would also consistently not mix the flavoring powder into the oatmeal so it was a pile of glop sitting on dry powder when I got to work.. I have given up and will be bringing coffee and food from home

They serve great coffee. Drive through was slow ordering only one item and coffee is expensive but if you want a reliably good cup ☕️ it's a great place to stopParking: Lots of parking shared with other stores in this commercial complex

The coffee is good, bagels are good, but I've never had good service here. It's either rude, or mediocre. The lady lady time said we couldn't custom order the breakfast sandwich. Its like it came frozen and they just warm it up. Then made us buy a whole tub of jalapeño cream cheese just so it could be put on the sandwich??

I visited the drive-thru today, it took 35 minutes for me to get 1 bagel and 1 drink. There was no apology from the team members for the wait. This is not the first time I've had a long wait here but it will be the last time I go back. Food is okay, but definitely not worth the price or the wait. The parking lot is also really poorly designed so it was nearly impossible for me to leave the drive thru line once I joined if I had needed to be somewhere after at a specific time.

Went in with my girlfriend and got very basic orders: two black coffees and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It took literally 30 minutes for them to tell me that blueberry bagels were out. I was looking directly at the basket full of blueberry bagels but at this point I didn't care I just asked for a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. 10 minutes later they give me a chocolate chip bagel with plain cream cheese. That alone was enough for me to never return as I saw everyone around me having the same problem, insane wait times and incorrect orders. My girlfriend is a bit more generous and went back to give them a second try. She orders an iced coffee and gets a large caramel cooler with coffee instead. I don't understand how the employees are so improperly trained and mismanaged. I will never be returning to this location again.

Zero ability to customize any sandwich on the menu. Plain bagel and plain cream cheese on the lox bagel. Why? Nothing is made fresh. It's all made in the morning apparently.Can I order lettuce on the side? Nope, we don't have lettuce. Can I order the cream cheese on the side? Nope, not unless you pay extra.Can I get a sausage bagel? Nope, just the pre made choices of bacon. The entire concept is ridiculous and whoever calls this anything close to customer service should be ashamed.*Edit: Forgot to mention; they will reply with a stock "we'll check with the local store" reply from corporate but clearly not actually do anything because review from 3 months ago are complaining of the same issues. Update your sign if you're not affiliated with Brueggers anymore.

We used to go to Einstein’s pre pandy(covid) a ton. The farm house sandwich was amazing and the bagels were incredible. Fast forward to today 6/19/21. I had no clue they switched to a fixed, non adjustable menu. I had a $23(ish) order. The service was excellent. The sandwiches are now obviously frozen and then microwaved to 1000 degrees. What a terrible turn for the worst.So sad, I had fond memories of good food and now I can only think about garbage microwaved food that can’t hold a candle to McDonald’s, which is awful as is.I know the pandy is forcing businesses to cut corners but this food is now un-edible. Sorry for the harsh review but this experience was so bad, I couldn’t not say something.

My family and I have visited on multiple occasions, and our order has been incorrect almost every time. We usually get a dozen bagels and always specifically request them unsliced, but more often than not that request is ignored.The times we've ordered sandwiches and coffee drinks haven't fared any better. This morning we ordered a dozen bagels, unsliced, and breakfast sandwiches. The bagels came sliced and one of the sandwiches was completely incorrect. When I brought this to the cashier's attention, she acted like it was my own fault for coming in on a busy Sunday morning.We will not be returning.
