Lynn's custom-designed rain barrels are the best! I've purchased three from him, (one for garage, two for my house) including installation. The rain diverter means no overflow of the barrel and the spout from the bottom of the barrel means that you can use every bit of water in the barrel -- fantastic. 50% rebate from city of Des Moines is icing on the cake.

This is the place for rain barrels! Lynn was very professional and really went over the different options that are available. The rain barrels work very well and I very much enjoy not wasting all that water each year. I've grown a bunch of veges from these rain barrels and when mine were installed (2022) the city offered a rebate. After installation Lynn has also been very helpful answering emails and offering solid advice when asked. This should be your go to for rain barrels in the Des Moines Metroplitas area!

They gave me a very quick response saying that I could use the thin lid from a water bottle as an easy alternative to get the job done. So helpful and great service as always!

Absolutely excellent service and product. Des Moines has a 50% cost share on this product. It pays for itself on your water and sewer bill. All that water for the lawn is also charged on the sewer bill, a double savings. This is a great environmentally friendly product.

What a great overall experience! Lynn was kind, extremely helpful, suggested the Iowa Stormwater rebate (which I didn’t know about prior to getting rain barrels installed), and was very quick and efficient setting up our rain diverter and rain barrels. He worked with me on including a custom barrel, gave me ample info about every customization choice, and made sure I was happy with the setup. I chose the brown color, and he spray painted the rain barrel I bought from him. The other rain barrel in the picture is one we found on the side of the road, and he even set that one up for us too! He has extremely reasonable prices as well! I highly recommend Lynn for all your rain barrel needs! He also keeps bees and might have some honey available, too. Super professional and super knowledgable. You can’t go wrong with Barrels Iowa!
