Jeff is the most helpful tire center person I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. For years now always friendly and helpful and there in a pinch! The service is always spot on, with a clean returned car, and the value is outstanding! You never know when you’ll need a last moment tire fix or oil change, but when you do think of Ampride Tire Center. They do more than just tires, but always take care of my vehicles like they’re their own. Did I get the their/there/they’res right? It doesn’t matter - because Jeff at Ampride always gets my cars done right! Thank you!

My buddy Ted Butler operates the auto care center there. I set up an appointment for some work on my vehicle that I just purchased. I know Ted will treat customers right on the work that needs to be done on their vehicles. Ted sells tires as well. I will purchase my next set from Ted on all of my vehicles. It's hard to find someone to trust now days to work on your vehicle. Ted took that out of the equation for me. I'm sure I will doing more business soon with Ted.

The food was good especially the onion rings the waitress was awesome! We had a huge crowd because it was my sister's birthday she got everybody's order and was on top of asking if we need anything else

Not a lot of parking. It is right next to a Walmart which is a good thing. I had a blowout and that's why I stopped here. The tire shop was fairly competent and able to get me back on the road fairly quickly. The bathrooms were clean, but stocked poorly. The restaurant could use a few more side items. I would take a 10-hour break here again.

The Service Department here is outstanding. They did a oil change for me. Their prices are very reasonable and their extra service is outstanding. They went above and beyond normal service by cleaning my windows and vacuuming.

This place was what I needed when I needed it. Found a parking spot around 2200 on a Thursday night, 5 minute drive from my delivery. No hot food thus late, but food in the cooler for a quick bite before getting a clean shower and some sleep for the night. There is also a drivers lounge and private restrooms up on the second floor by the showers. Laundry facilities available but looked a bit sketchy. Would have been a 3 star joint but it was much cleaner than expected and Food in the cooler was fresh and not even close to expiration. Another bonus it's neighboring Walmart to walk to get essentials if needed. Great place! I'll be back next time in the area.

I came in expecting to get a hot meal. After looking at the menu and asking about dinners coming with 2 sides and the only sides I saw were potatoes and potatoes. I decided on the French dip.With that being said I have ate French dips all across this country. French dips consists of roast beef cheese and au gus . Had to add fries to this extra charge. Within 5 mins my meal was at the table I said wow that was fast. There was no cheese it could be added for extra charge. The roast beef was cold . I said something to my waitress and she said she could microwave it I said no it would only make it more awful. I thinking I could just dip it in the au gus sauce and make up for the meat being cold to find out the au gus sauces was cold too. I said something else to the waiter who advised there was no manager there. so after driving over 500 miles I ate half of my fries and some of the sandwich because there wasnt anything else. I paid full price for the most awful meal I have ever had in a truck stop no apologies no discount nothing. The can of spaghettios in my truck would have been better than this meal.

Wow! This place was awful. My co-worker and I were in town for a few days and with the limited selection of restaurants decided to try this spot.When we first walked in, we were not acknowledged- fine, no big deal. What was a big deal was the pungent odor of what smelled like dirty depends diapers. The place smelled awful. Against our better judgement & limited selection of restaurants in the area-we sat down.We waited 10+ minutes for someone to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes for our food order & it took 20 minutes to make a hot ham & cheese sandwich. My counter part ordered a Philly cheese steak. It came as solid thick slab of meat on a hoagie bun. Never once did the waitress refill our drinks or ask how our food was. Neither sandwich came with a side, which I found to be very odd.I could never & would never recommend this place to anyone. Awful food & even worse service.

Not the best place to stop. Unfortunately it's the only truck stop around. It's kind of hit-or-miss here. If there are young kids working you can bet that the coffee will probably be cold or out. Facilities can be very clean, at times I've seen themto be Immaculate and other times to be in poor condition. There is little consistency in the shifts of people working here. It's either really great or really not.

Update: 11/18/22. Still a dump. Men’s bathroom stall doesn’t have a door lock, the pizza place still have calzones on their menu but they don’t actually have them. Also, who thought it was a good idea to put the toilet paper holder BEHIND the toilet? Have I been sitting on toilets the wrong way?Usually always a place to park, the pizza place no longer has calzones but they leave it on the menu.

This is a review on the c-store side of Ampride. Was only inside for a few minutes. Had a hankering for one of the pizzas that I remember being amazing but immediately noped out when I noticed the staff members who make the food were not wearing a mask. They get a 2 star because at least the checkout clerks were wearing a mask.

Shower room was nice, except they could use better shower heads. It was clean, though, and nice thick towels and washcloths. In the sitdown restaurant, the pork chops were really good. I have to admit that I added Garam Marsala seasoning, but they were really juicy, and a beautiful, slightly crisp golden sear to them. They could use to offer more low-carb food choices, but I was able to get some on-plan food. As for the parking lot, the drivers who park here can't park worth a squat. 6-7 feet in between trucks. If they'd learn how to park, several more trucks could get in the lot. Wonderful that this is right next to shopping options. And if I'd known ahead of time that there's a raceway park next door, I might have planned to be here and showered earlier, and gone to the races. (Every Friday night, weather permitting, I was told.) Overall, not a bad place to stop.

Used to go here all the time to eat with friends back in high school and it was good. Decided to go with our family and it was honestly some of the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant, not sure what happened there but it's gone south. Place was dirty, run down, restrooms were dirty. Ordered sover easy eggs and got half raw egg whites instead. The chicken fried steak was awfu . The Tyson frozen ones at the store honestly taste better. My youngest ordered only waffle fries and they come out after they served the rest of us to inform us they dont have them making her wait for her food as we had to order something els . And dont get me started on the silver dollar pancakes. Worst ones I've ever tasted in my life and they left this greasy slimy feel in the mouth that easnt pleasant. Barely got 1 down before they made me feel like I wanted to vomit. We wont be going back and will not recommend it to others and sadly disappointed it's not what it used to be 15 years ago.

Nice little truck stop near US 30 in Denison, Iowa. Turn north onto US 59. Go one mile. On the right side. Look for the Cennex sign and all the local big rigs parked there. Has a restaurant and a nice little Deli as well.

Love the auto shop crew, always get my cars in and out and make sure all problems get resolved. The food at the ampride stop is also good for breakfast, sweet tea and hot coffee.

It isn't too often that you find a mom-and-pop gas stop in America. Let alone my mom and pop truck stop in America. They're very rare, and few. And that's the magic of this one here. It offers a full amount of service from different types of repairs to tires to being able to change your oil. You can get gasoline or diesel fuel here. For the over-the-road truck driver there is a shower and the driver lounge and the deli is not too bad either and there's a restaurant. If you consider and stop and buy you probably should you're going to see a rarity and that's for sure.
