Signage was very easily readable, layout was organized and made sense. Designed so you can get in, get what you need, and get on your way. These are the types of businesses I prefer. Not convoluted. And designed to keep you going down every other aisle so you “find” something else you need.

I love Norby’s selection, the new greenhouse and the updates. That being said, I’m done. I will never go back. I keep giving the cashiers the benefit of the doubt but my last two visits have proven to me that it is not worth it. I’ve not ever dealt with more rude, condescending people in the retail business…EVER. Today I lugged in a 60# bag of concrete mix that I needed to return. I knew they were busy and wanted to be helpful. When I hoisted it on to the counter some of the dust puffed out of the bag. The cashier sighed, dramatically wiped off her shirt and proceeded to look at me like I was something she had just scraped off the bottom of her shoe…. It did not get better. I won’t even start on my visit there last Friday. I’m sorry that these folks are so unhappy that it spills on to their customers but I didn’t cause their unhappiness and I’m not going to be the outlet for it. Thank goodness there are other options in Decorah….I want to shop local but I just crossed a decent place off my list.

The store was neat and clean, but to a fault. I felt like we didn't dare lift anything off the shelf because the lady was picking it up practically out of our hands and folding and reshelving it. After listening to my youth size grandson looking at jeans for 15 minutes, she said, we don't carry youth sizes.not impressed.

They super upped their plant game this year and I am so excited. They had a great variety and things that no one else carried. I will definitely go back next spring and do the same thing I did this year--buy lots of interesting plants!

Really like store, would give it 5 stars if not for some of the staff... I asked if they had any wallets, lady on the radio said they don't carry any. However a guy was helping me look and we found some. Looking around some more we found ANOTHER section with MORE wallets in it. As a different employee passes I ask, do you know of any other wallets around the store or is this is? Not knowing he asked the radio and the same female replied "we don't carry any wallets" very rudely.

Norby's offers a good selection and I had good memories of it when I was younger, but the inside was visibly neglected and the staff likewise, you'd have to hunt for someone for help or to even acknowledge you. It's strikingly different from my experience in other stores like them, even after a couple of visits to the store this week. If you're hoping to quickly get 2 things and get out and you don't already know where they are, Norby's is probably less convenient than driving across town to Ace or Fisks where you'll find helpful and friendly staff.

The store itself is alright and the cashier was a hoot but from the time my gf and I walked into the store there were 3-4 people giving scowling eyes and peeping around corners. To top it off didn't have anything that I went there for but did buy some Tekton impact sockets, husqvarna chain and a few other items that added up to $50 or so but to make things clear. I do not come across as a thief or what have you. Long story short if you want to go shop and farm and fleet store that has a decent selection, OK prices and have a desire to have the hills have eyes heebie jeebies go on down to Decorahs Norbys farm and fleet

I love Norbys. I drop in from time to time to c whats ne we. The staff is friendly plus a smile. They hv the best spices reasonable priced.They hv their Fall wear displayed. I love their sweat 👕 in every color.Great by too.

Did business with the Decorah Store since they opened. Bought many batteries there over the years, bought 2 in July 2013. First time I ever took one in for warranty and they refused to stand behind it. Will not do anymore business there.

A couple years ago I purchased an expensive fiberglass rake with a lifetime warranty. Just working around the house the handle cracked so I took it back to decorah and they wouldn't exchange it without a receipt. It says lifetime warranty on the handle!?!.
