I'm not sure if there is enough space here to describe the poor experience I had.I placed an online order for same day pickup at 8:40AM because they were offering $20 off an $80 purchase. I ordered, got email verification, my bank showed payment processing. I went to pick the order up and they said they did not have an order for me at all. Nothing. Absolutely nothing on their end showing my order. I showed them the confirmation, the order, the email, the bank transaction. I said I ordered online for pick up so I could come in quickly and get out quickly as I was on my lunch hour.The clerk that was helping was brand new. She asked a coworker for assistance getting into the hand held device to check the order. The clerk that she asked for helped was inattentive and did very little to help. When the clerk could not find the order, she went to talk to the manager in the office. She was of no immediate help either. I said, I ordered and paid for the products, could I just get them off the shelf and be done. They said no even though I had verification of order and payment. She again went to talk to the manager. The manager still did not come out but told her to have ME call customer service. I told the clerk that I was not calling customer service and told her I wanted to talk to the manager myself. The manager did finally come up to speak with me. I told her this was not a "me" problem, it was a PetCo problem and SHE needed to find the resolve, not me. She finally called customer service who said they were having online order software issues. In the meantime another customer came in to pick up their online order. I asked how long ago she placed the order and she said less than 2 hours ago. Her order was there and ready for pickup.So was it really a software issue??? Could be...but... Customer service finally told her to cancel my original order (which they said they NEVER got so not sure how you can cancel something you never got, right??) They pulled the items in my order off the shelf, rang up the new items, had me pay AGAIN. They needed to add Petco bucks to cover the $20 difference from the online order.45 minutes later, I was finally able to get out of there. I will NEVER order online again. They had an error and wanted ME to resolve it by calling customer service....NOPE! It took persistence on my part to finally get my products. Most people would have walked out the door and tried to get customer service to help them.

I went in to find the best dog collar for my dog for training and barking control and had a great experience with the sales Gal and took her time to find the right product and assisted with fitting the collar for me. Always great service in the Davenport Iowa location and the only store I will get all my pet needs. Thank you all for all your help and professionalism. My Dog Sassy

Picked out an amazing crested gecko. The associate was super kind and helpful. She was patient in showing us all the cresties to ensure we picked just the right one! It was actually really nice to talk to someone who was actually educated about the reptiles. I was also very impressed at the quality and variety of reptiles at this store and that they were very well cared for!

It's a run down pet store.This place used to be great but now it just looks like it's barely clinging to life (much like Kmart did before it shut all stores).Decent deals from time to time but very old and outdated.

Very unprofessional staff the one cat that's for adoption is not taken cear of or acknowledged in anyway water looks old hot and full of something I was not greated when entering after checking out I was not offered a bag nor a receipt I had to ask for my receipt and get my own bag girl had her eyes completely cover with her blue yellow hair not a store I will frequent at all!!!! They had the best rate online order for frontline is the only reason I came to it im in the parking lot giving my review hands down worst pet store in davenport

When it comes to pets I've purchased from Petco I've loved every one of them. I've seen many to the rainbow bridge after a normal lifetime.But, DO NOT EVER PURCHASE THEIR CARE PACKAGE FOR A PET.They took 70.00$ from me without ever giving me anything in return and when I confronted them they tried to force me into a twelve month contract I NEVER SIGNED.They do take care of the animals but their COMPANY is garbage.

My puppy (miniature golden doodle) got his 1st groom at Petco. Jamie did an amazing job. He looks wonderful and smells great. Best part is he seemed to enjoy being groomed.

I paid $380.00 for dog training. It is absolutely absurd that the classes are held in the pet food aisle with customers and their dogs usually in the aisles. The store refused to give me a refund. I will never set foot in your store again. You stole my money from me!

Love them !!! Every time I go in the employees are super helpful and friendly. They’ve helped me out with my cats and dog from dealing with antibiotic side affects to sensitive stomach they helped me. Not to mention I’ve been able to find actual trustworthy brands and not a bunch of hoopla that has lawsuits and recalls. <3

I like the over all varieties they have for dog's and cats and smaller animals and birds, but my problem I'm having is they don't have anything for larger bird breeds..I have a large exotic cockatoo and I can't find anything except his food pellets at the store..... wish I could but one employee responded to me that because they don't sell such large exotic bird is the reason they don't have anything for them so it disappointed 😞 me.... thanks me and mika bird...

Staff: the staff is very helpful. We have bought all of our ferrets from them. Along with all of our small animal needs. We rescued Willow the Hamster from there as well!Building: was clean and spacious.Star rating: 5 stars because the staff is awesome and they know their pets. The birds I bought from this location are skittish and not easy to tame, but otherwise in good health. Every time I come into this store the staff is so attentive and amazing. I've come to really look forward to chatting with them. This is a great neighborhood location and I intend tokeep shopping here

I had an appointment for 2 pm and by 515 my dog hadn’t even gotten a bath. The manager was useless. Could have rescheduled and been upfront. Zero contact about the lateness. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend unless you want your dog in a crate all day for no reason.

Legitimately tho, Charles was so educated about all of the fish plus more. You can tell he cares about his profession, every single tiny fish he sells, and also finding the right price for us. He was awesome. Legitimately tho, Charles needs a raise. 10/10

The part of Elmore Avenue where Petco currently resides has seemed a little underdeveloped or, perhaps more accurately, a little down from the height of where it has previously been in recent decades. The particular location used to either be a Cub Foods or a clothing store in past days. Nonetheless, the current edifice and building in which the Petco currently resides appears kept up and I had no other concerns traveling to or parking in the general area.Entering the store, I was struck by how much this Petco is much like other Petco locations and really, other pet stores in general. There are aisles, they have pet-related merchandise within them, and they are well organized. To that end, I was able to locate the one thing that brought me to this Petco relatively quickly - Catnip. While I don't personally own a cat (horridly allergic, unfortunately) I have plans to make cat treats for my friends that do, with catnip being an essential ingredient.Checking out with my one 0.5 oz bag of nip was fairly straightforward, as well. The cashier was nice during the process, and while she did ask to sign me up for their Petco rewards program, I declined and she left the issue at that. Many retail outlets are much more aggressive about signing up people for these programs and I was happy for this to be the extent of this interaction.In summary, if I had random pet needs again, I'd be happy to return to this Petco location for future shopping. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff were friendly. Thanks Petco!

My husband purchased a gunina pig for myself and he just died 40 days after getting him. My 5 kids are heart broken. We where told if he died 10 days sooner is the only way they help. I would never buy anything from this store again!!!!!

First time here today! Awesome employees! And the cashier I can’t remember her name but she has green hair and 7 geckos is hands down the best employee I met so far! Super knowledgeable, gave me the super duper run down on the vital care program and let me tell you she needs a RAISEEEE!!

Today I tried to buy a couple fish that were 2.49 each. An employee with blue hair wouldn't sell me less than 5 of the fish cuz she said they'd eat each other or sumthing, and she didn't believe I had a big enough tank at home. She said I could only buy a Betta fish. I went down the street to Petsmart and got the same thing for the same price and no blue haired shenanigans and no questions. I'll just go to Petsmart from now on.

Finally found a food my cat will eat with digestive problems and it is called vital. However Petco only has one small roll one flavor for cats the whole rest of the refrigerated section is all for dogs very dissatisfied with the amount of food for cats

Excellent service. I have a 3 year old Min-Pin I adopted from Scott Co. Humane Society and she is quite timid when it comes to her paws, especially having her nails trimmed. Not to be rude but we took her to Petsmart in Davenport and they hardly trimmed them at all. They basically took the very tip off and called it a day. Not at Petco. My doggie's nails are now perfectly short so her little toes aren't hurting. THANK YOU PETCO!
