I’d like to start off by saying this used to be my favorite Hy-Vee in the QC & the closest to my home, I even have a relative that is a manager there. But I won’t be revealing who that is in this post due to the single star feedback I’m leaving for this review. I’d also like to say there are some great people that work there as well. George has always been great with me while I’m returning my cans and bottles. 5 stars for him. Also I’d like to mention the great customer service the black gal who works the register over at the restaurant part of the store. She went above and beyond one day a couple months ago and payed the extra 27 cents I believe I was short on for me and my wife’s meals that day. I wish I could remember her name as I hate that she may not get credit for her excellent customer service. Now for the big problem I had about a week and a half ago. Me and my wife used to go to this Hy-Vee like clockwork once or twice a week to return our cans and bottles then grab something to eat there. Unfortunately that won’t be happening again any time soon. As we were doing our returning an employee named Brendon was collecting or bottles and cans for us but every 30 seconds or so he would not pick our returns and say this one is missing a label or this one is an Illinois can or this one has too many dents in it and pick the cans or bottles out and throw them in the trash without asking me if that was alright. This of course was messing up my count as well because I keep track by the case of returns and if don’t then more often then not my count and the employee count won’t match up. Moving on.. I say a pun to Brendon and call him the inspector for giving us such a hard time. He then almost starts crying like a child and throws literally one of our cans up against the wall and tells his fellow employee in customer service he refuses to take care of us. So his friend Kayleigh came over to save the day as Brendon gives her the low down in his perspective. So right away she has an argumentive attitude with me. We go back in forth then the manager Hector steps in and I’m thinking this is good. He’s going to set his two younger employees straight but he instead tells us that we are done returning at that Hy-Vee location and are to be cashed out for what they have already taken from us. I begin to have a disagreement with him and he says to me that he heard me cuss at Kayleigh and it was time for me to leave as the security guard is also peaked interest in us now as well as quite a few patrons of the store “very embarrassing & bad for the store as well”. I promise you folks I 100% never sweared at that young lady once as as God and my wife as witnesses. They also proceeded to short my wife out of 2 cases in pay and refused to acknowledge that they were in the wrong or run the cameras back for us. So shame on all three of you employees there who gave us such a bad time that we will no longer do our shopping at that location. The 2 younger adults Brendon and Kayleigh I can let all this go because they are still young and can’t be held accountable for their poor people skills. But Hector you really take the cake on this one. Not only were you rude and a liar, you’re teaching your younger employees poor customer service skills and not correcting them for their mistakes. Hope you all learn from this issues and correct your poor customer service issues.

The floral department staff is very friendly. 2 beautiful corsages were purchased, and they didn't hold up very well. By the time we were done with prom pics, they were falling apart. They didn't wear them to prom because of it. That was disappointing.

Hy-Vee on 2351 W Locust was good. Its early morning and the staff as well as vendors are still stocking items but it was clean, neat, and I didn't see many out of stocks on the shelves. The decorations were nice, as well as the displays.Specifically I loved the turkey balloons by the meat area, the truck by the bar & grill area, and I think the wooden bases for the side stacks are a very nice touch. There were only two people who said hello to me today - Brian (who appeared to be a manager) and one male staff by the registers.I loved the seasonal gift aisle, the overhead "Frozen" sign being clean, and that the windows above the frozen section all appeared to be maintained. I hope this store continues with it's good service, clean aisles, and overall nice atmosphere.

We bought one each of each flavored cupcakes. The icing was good, but the cake portion was dry. They need to up their recipe and make it better. On a different note, the lemon bar was not a lemon bar but cake with lemon on top.

Great shopping center. Wonderful that they offer shopping in which you can order online and pick up. Lily is the absolute best and friendliest person who brings the groceries to my car.

Recently went to have breakfast at the marketplace in Hy-Vee on Locust St in Davenport Iowa. Stood at the counter for a good five minutes waiting for a cashier to come take our order. We spoke up to get service and was greeted with an attitude like were bugging her to take the order. Very disappointing for this place.

One of the best Hy-Vee's in the Quad Cities. Not so massive that it takes a hike to get to dairy but big enough to have Starbucks, pizza and Chinese.Decent liquor store too.

Hate the floor design of Hy-Vee they aren't very pretty stores. Just a lot of white lights and white floors. Reminds me of a hospital. They do have amazing employees who are always restocking shelves and things like that.

They need to lower their prices I spent a lot of money for just a little bit of food.but for that said. the service was good and prompt and very helpful and kind.so God bless to who reads this.

God Bless you all who work here and have to deal with the stupidity and utter ignorance of the general public. I just saw a woman who left a negative review because she “couldn’t use her OTC card.” Suzanne, if you’re reading this, that is an issue with you and not the store. Just because you are an idiot, doesn’t warrant a negative review. You should lock yourself in your house so your stupidity does not endanger those of us with functioning brains.

I do online shopping and then at store pick-up. The first few times I would have said they were a 5 star. However the last 3 they are a 1 star which signifies the 3 rating. It seems like they have a lot of new faces that need to be properly trained how to load groceries. You do not put the heavy stuff on top of soft items like bread, buns, chips or eggs. The last few times I have had at least 1 if not more unusable items.Also substations when a customer picks to choose them let them. When shopping at Kroger in the past I was always allowed to sub something even if it cost more amd was better “quality”. First thing for me that comes to mind is bottled spring water vs distilled water. Though I honestly do not know the source of where the spring water comes from it puts my mind at ease that I am not paying for filtered tap water. If a person orders spring water and you don’t have it find a true substitute.I hope to see the service improve here as I love the convenience. I may just start doing all the shopping myself in store though I love the convenience of online especially in today’s world.

I'M DISABLED AND JUST CAME INTO YOUR STORE AND COULD NOT BUY HARDLY ANYTHING ON MY OTC CARD. INCLUDING: WATER, MEATS, DAIRY. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY $44. WHICH IS NOW HAVING TO COME OUT OF MY BILL MONIES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. I GUESS I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING THERE EVER AGAIN.

Failed to deliver flowers to funeral. It was an epic failure. What a let down. Delivery driver allowed to go home, my order was no concern to him. He should have been ordered to stay late and deliver flowers to me. Will tell everyone I know not to order flowers from here. Appalling and disgusting.

This one on west locust I've had excellent and on occasion over the top help from management and customer service. I love the fuel saver concept, and have filled 20 gallons of gas for nothing or next to nothing frequently. Prices can be expensive if not shopping for deals however. With prices so high still its vital that we save whenever possible.

My go to HyVee ❤️ I've been going to this HyVee my whole life because both of my grandmother's lived down the street when I was a child. Nice people and great service!

HyVee is absolutely doing exactly what the CEO's threatened. If they were FORCED to pay their employees a living wage they said in a press release that prices would go up. To get you to be mad at the HyVee employees for finally being paid at least a wage that isn't just an embarrassment. The CEO's aren't about to give up the profits they benefit from so of course they are raising the price of many products 200% just since last year. But if you sign up for their HyVee rewards you can get a break, which means they could just give everyone the same price. I am so tired of this.

Tell me why a place that takes pop cans not take certain cans cause of a brand i walked in put 2 trays of cans down after 10mins then they say sorry sir we dont take that brand even tho a week before then i did when i went last time

I Love my local Hy-Vee on West Locust. It's different from other Hy-Vee's in that it's more of a neighborhood feel. The remodeling was just right, and not too overwhelming. The staff has worked there for a long time and they are very helpful.
