Literally the worst store I have ever been to. Went there tonight and it is closed without any explanation. Is generally bug ridden and only around because of lack of options. Do not go here if you have any other option available.

Chris and Kristy's customer service is above and beyond 5-star platinum service. I'm new to the area and found myself without transportation home. And it was a little frightening because I don't know anybody here due to the fact I just moved here. Every cab and ride service were not available to provide a ride. . It was about to storm in and I was standing outside in the rain when Kristy was about to leave after closing the store. She offered me a ride to the nearest gas station. I honestly cannot even express how thankful I and appreciative I am for her kindness. She was my hero without a doubt. I was in tears and had no transportation out of there and no shelter from The Storm. She went above and beyond. I can't even imagine how the night would have went for me without Chris and Kristy's kindness. They were both very helpful from the start of my shopping visit. The store is one of the cleanest and well stocked that I have shopped at in a very long time. I found everything that I needed to purchase and with platinum customer service. Look forward to shopping here again. Thank you again Kristy and Chris!

ADA violation nightmare. If you're in a wheelchair you will not be able to navigate this store. Half the time the store doesn't even open on time. The district manager, Fred, is rude. It's a brand new store and they can't keep it staffed bc they treat and pay people very poorly. 0/10.

there's a lot of stuff i'm willing to overlook in a small town store like this. like the fact that staff is usually really short with you or busy doing something else and not paying attention who's at the register which is fine 'cause there's a self checkout. but when you try and call to ask a simple question and not only are you yelled at but also hung up on i'm sorry i'm giving this store A 1 star review because of this.All i did was call to ask if i could still get a receipt that i wasn't given or even asked if i needed the next day when they opened back up but instead i was yelled at that they were closed and when i began to explain my situation i was hung up on awful service needs new staff very disappointed since i go here all the time.

The cashiers were more interested in stocking shelves than taking care if customers. Very disappointed. The store was clean and once I was waited on the cashier was pleasant. Several minutes of waiting pay was unacceptable.

My family and I go here all the time! We love their wide selection of items, and inexpensive prices, and staff are always kind and helpful as well! This store has been a great addition to Dallas Center!!

Dollar General can give you a good price on most things, my only complaint is that some of the stores are Not kept up and not clean at all ?I know that the store in Grimes Iowa is in need of a complete make over like a really good cleaning and to get more organized. And also I sure wished that they all had the same items, the store in Dallas Center IA is newer and also has a lot more items to buy and so far it’s still clean to this point and hopefully they will keep it up.
