While in town visiting family, we stopped into Fareway for milk and a few other things for the house. And as always, I grabbed some Iowa-made products to take home to Virginia, plus a Stella Moscato flavor (French Vanilla) I haven't seen in my local stores yet.It's been quite a few years since I was last in this store, but I swear it's even nicer than I remember. The butcher counter and produce department were both particularly impressive to me and my husband. I so wanted to stock up on the asparagus since it's currently on sale for half of the discounted price I normally pay, but it wouldn't have survived the long trip home.My other favorite thing was the whole checkout process. We started to get in line behind my in-laws, and a young man immediately opened another register to ring us out. Then, when I saw a young lady wheel their cart out, I remembered that Fareway has baggers who will take your groceries to your car if you want them to. We don't get this kind of service back home, so I have to admit that my husband and I felt spoiled and a little envious.

A grocery store is not a "normal" business for customer reviews, but this one astounds every time. I have shopped here more frequently in the past six months simply because I have never, even once, experienced any staff member in a bad mood or without a smile and a willing helpfulness. I can find items for recipes here that I struggle to find elsewhere and when I ask for help or question availability of a product, I have never experienced any issues with any staff member knowing the answers required.

We always go to fareway for our meat and produce, it is the best in town. We got the snowman bundle this time and let with well over $50 in meat. The deal was so worth it!

Quick easy to find items. Good sale deals .helpful staff friendly. Cheapest cigarettes in town. Good meat counter. Excellent place to shop for all your food and beverage items.

Always the freshest fruit, veg and meat. Even if it's a couple of cents more than other stores it's worth it because it's not only edible it's delicious! They even kept the store open on the 4th of July for my family and I to grab a few last minute extras. Thanks guys 100% wonderful job!

I like the small town feel of the store. We love the sausage mix that you can get from the meat department. It makes delicious homemade sausage! .... fair prices on fresh fruits and veggies and they run good sales!

I like Fareway, they seem to have everything I need and at reasonable prices !! The place is well kept, clean, organized, friendly : ) I needed help with locating an item and had no problem finding the right person to help right away. At the meat counter I had no waiting for someone to help me and with a Smile not Attitude, I really appreciate that : ) When my sister and I checked out our items we had a checker and a bagger that were very pleasant. The bagger even walked out pushing our two carts ,put the groceries in the trunk (and do not squeeze the bread or smash the grapes please) with a pleasant attitude. I love Customer Service : )

I LOVE that they not only hire young kids, but that they instill old-fashioned manners and values into their younger employees as well.. That AND when shopping at Fareway, you only handle you groceries 2X. When you PLACE THEM IN YOUR CART then not again until you are putting them away when you get home.. Your cashier takes your groceries directly FROM YOUR CART THEMSELVES, scan them. Then courtesy bags them up, loads them BACK into a cart, PUSHES THE CART out to your vehicle and loads them INTO YOUR CAR FOR YOU before returning your cart back into the store as well! 🤗 OH YEAH! they also price match taking coupons from ANY OTHER LOCAL STORES! 🤯

I saw camden watson get hit in the head with a metal bat and then set on fire, they then took me to the employees break room and proceeded to pinch me until i said fareway was better than walmart.

It's awesome! Teresa, Shannon, Jim, the whole crew is 1,000 times better than Walmart. Meat dept is excellent and overall prices are cheaper than Walmart.
