This store is most likely committing inventory fraud via weights and measures. There system is ringing up lesser weights at a higher cost so as to write of the discrepancy later. Walmart just had a class action settlement for similar behavior. And since it was a “manual weight” input the discount didn’t get applied for the perks card. The eggs also rang up a penny more expensive than advertised and I didn’t receive the fuel points as advertised.

Floral department exceeded all expectations. Wow, what a great experience I had. I wish I remembered the name of the gracious lady that assisted me. Superior customer service that was a rare treat!

This is usually the ONLY store I NEVER have to wait forever in line because they ALWAYS call up other floor associates to come cashier on the front end. But lately, only one or two regular lanes open and then all the other registers are self checkout registers. ALL areas were backed up, people standing EVERYWHERE with the same expression on their faces as I have no doubt I had on mine. Seems like HyVee has finally jumped on the bandwagon of no good customer service anymore, just lots of self checkouts so you can do their job for them. Very sad. I certainly didn't see many "friendly smiles in any aisles" (their motto) the past TWO times I've been there. I don't think I will be going there much anymore. Who wants to stand in line for 15-20 min just to find out the register you go to only takes cards and you only have CASH? I actually saw people abandoning their groceries and just leaving. What a shame.

The fresh produce and meat is top tier. However, the Deli needs work. The chicken is always dry and seems old like it's been sitting too long under the heating lamp.Seen this like 3 or 4x. Also, the fried chicken always has a hard, thick crust with dry meat inside. Also went in the deli and 3 guys working were talking to each other and took 5 minutes to even acknowledge me. A constant bright spot is the all you can eat Italian, Chinese and comfort food combination for $15 and I always enjoy the lounge with restaurant/bar seating. The fresh squeezed juicer machine was also a plus!

This place is always pretty great. The lines move fast. The store is generally well-stocked. I'm not sure there is a helpful smile in every aisle like when I was growing up, but there are many friendly faces willing to help. Of course, this good customer service is reflected in the prices. I suppose quality always costs more. Want to save more money? Go to Walmart. Want good customer service and fresh selections? Go to Hy Vee.

Almost everything was fully stocked. I picked out a few food items to eat in the cafeteria. I also bought a cup for Caribou Coffee, I was disappointed that the coffee was not hot. The handicapped carts are always available and fully charged. I went there for the postal services, the line was long and it didn't really shorten. I like shopping at Hy-Vee. The quality of hot foods ,deli, bakery and meat counter selection are A1.

I called to let a ezikial I assume as a manager know that we had groceries delivered with an expiration date over a month expired. He instead gave me an attitude and treaded me like I robbed the store. I already get my “credit” back for the product. I just thought he would want to know to check his food. He contributed to be rude where I had to explain to him I don’t want a refund, substitute, or anything. I just want you to check your expiration dates it was almost two months expired

We switched to the Hy-Vee pharmacy from Walgreens due to Walgreens losing prescriptions and other serious errors with our medications. The only complaint I have with them is that sometimes it can take 2-3 days or longer for them to fill medications that should be filled in maybe a matter of 1-3 hours or so. I wish they would be faster at getting things filled. I understand they might be a smaller pharmacy, but patients need their medications in a timely fashion to make sure they are taken and remain on schedule.

They have excellent produce. I just got a bunch of the Colorado Peaches, but they are already super ripe so I had to slice them all up and freeze some- they won't keep long.Their Harvester sandwiches that you can get made fresh in front of you like at Subway are excellent.The Hy-Chi is good and the Thursday night steak special is good too.

I was taking cans in the redemption center and the Hy-Vee manager came in and said that cans have to be serrated before u come to store ,I'm on a bike cuz I don't drive how am I post to separate cans and carry them in ,I try to keep each brand separate butthere in bags ,so any way the manager gets mad and bans me from store has 2 employees walk me out to my bike and continues talking stuff to me laughs at me ,tells me I don't by stuff there land enbarres me in front of shoppers, I'm thinking about getting a lawyer and suing Hy-Vee for his actions

I hate the way they arranged the front. It is too cramped. The self check out is a disaster. What happened to the scan guns? I hate that you can't exit the second entrance anymore. The whole store makes me feel like we are all guilty of something. Also, they changed their membership again for sales and I still haven't gotten my new card.

Loathe minimal cashiers than only having half the self checkouts open. It’s bad enough we have to take care of ourselves, but now we are going to limit that to. So frustrating!

Great Store friendly staff . Alot of variety.And meat dept.is always friendly. Except for the guy with long brown hair, tall ,and skinny. But I have to say the rest seem to all be friendly. Staff and management are always saying hello. The store is very clean, and restrooms also. And an Awesome employee went out of her way today she works in the bar section she's a bartender. She went to the back to check to see if there's any cabbage available which there was not any green cabbage but there was purple so she went back out to the back again and got me two things of cabbage went out of her way for me I could not believe it made my day cuz I didn't have to go anywhere else to get cabbage this girl deserves a props and a raise. Great personality picked out the 2 best ones !! Thank you so much . I included her picture just so everyone could get spoiled by her 😊. Keep up striving young lady you will go far.

I turned in my cans to the recycling center at hyvee and the employee was quite helpful ansering several questions about what brands they took, including letting me take a pic of a list for future reference.

If you wanna work here and constantly deal with lack of communication and to be treated as if you’re a child who doesn’t know what they’re doing, be my guest.I was a courtesy here for 2 yearsI quit because it’s not all “happy smiles in every isle,” your managers constantly treat you like trash, the pay is so terrible, you get paid $9 an hour every week, I wanted to move out of my parents at age 20 and get an apartment by myself and provide myself with groceries and food to eat but couldn’t.They wanted me to do the parking lot everyday as soon as I got there without even a “hello how are you?” It would be -0 degrees out but they still didn’t care, they wanted me out there for 3 hours otherwise they’d make me go back outside. When I didn’t want to(because it was cold and I didn’t have the proper attire for winter) they sent me home majority of the time, because of that I didn’t get good pay. Had to deal with attitude constantly every time I was working, (I’m not the only one who complains about this) when my mom was furious she called HR they said “they don’t have any rules into doing the parking lot, even when it’s this cold out” they didn’t switch me out at all.They’d Complained I’d sit and do “nothing” when other courtesies were doing the same thing. I felt constantly targeted,I made the mistake of vaping in the establishment ONCE, meanwhile the market grille manager does it and a couple people from deli does it, and 1 person from Chinese does it (it wasn’t even my vape either) but when those people got caught they got a slap on the wrist and I was almost fired. Only reason why I wasn’t is cuz someone stood up for me (thank you to that person) happy I left, I was so unhappy. Now I work at a better place with more money I ever made working at hyvee. And they don’t make me go outside in the parking lot for 3 hours with it being a negative degree temperature.And I live with a significant other of mine and between his job and my new job we make a lot more money 💵 I didn’t wanna write this review, I wanted to forget about my horrible experience, but seeing as my Facebook friend had to deal with this with her department…. I don’t want anyone to feel like they are “less than” or that “they don’t do a good job or know what they’re doing, they’re worthless (thank you to the health market manager for that comment 😉) “ or mainly “unworthy.” I didn’t love myself when I was working there cuz I was constantly put down or treated as a 5 year old.I wrote this review because her story and my story haunts me to this day. I don’t want anyone dealing with this.A year goes by of not being there, clearly.. nothings changed.

EDIT: The company reached out to me to contact them via email or phone call. I decided to email them, and till this day have I not received any messages regarding the spoiled meat that was sold to me.Not too happy with this one. Meat department is running 9.99 Dungeness grab for 1 pound. I've ate plenty of crab in my 37 years and never have my entire pound of meat come out brownish black with a odd smell.

The self checkout employee did not know how to use my card to get sale prices, but he used his. It's a shame he gets gas points and not me. I also am handicapped and had to park over in handicap by door near can redemption. I get in store had to make my way all the way to other doors to get 🛒, bought my groceries and headed back to door I came in, just to find out you can not go out there. Made my way slowly back to other door outside and had to walk outside in cold all the way back to other door where my car was parked .

Price gouging bag Christmas candys Hershey's ect was 3.69 ish bag tonight was over $6.49 ish everywhere else is no more than $4 bag Walmart 3 something. A $3 price jump because holiday is near is price gouging not good ! I don't like one exit door set up uncomfortable unsafe to have other doors locked up cant exit in emergency. Need more workers at night as well .place changed alot to worse customer service. They use help people that needed it out to car with groceries not no more .

It's a glorious trap. If you do your daily shopping at Hy-Vee, congratulations on being rich. But, if you only go for the deals and what's on sale, this place is wonderful.

Usually a good variety, produce is the best in town. Wish they had a few more higher end offerings like the one on the other side of town.
