This Hy-Vee Grocery Store is conveniently located. This is an older store (since I know someone who use to work at this location approximately 20 years ago). This location is clean, very well stocked and the employees are very friendly. The prices are fair. We recommend this location.

We love Hy-Vee stores. We don't have one near our home so when we travel by one we stock up on the sourdough bread. This store in Ames, IA, we purchased one loaf, and it didn't have a good sourdough bread taste. We went to Corralville, IA, near Iowa City and purchased their bread. Excellent taste. Great sour tasting sourdough bread. We also stopped at the nation's largest Hy-Vee near Omaha, NE, and their bread was like the Ames store with no sourdough taste. We're on our way to the Lasalle-Peru store to compare with the Corralville store. The employee at the Corralville store said they got their current starter from an existing store and have continued with that starter for years. Besides the bread, the store has some good plant based meat substitute in the vegan or plant based section located in the health food aisles. There are a few Plant Boss selections. I tried the taco plant crumbles, and I made it following the instructions but eliminated oil. I diced an onion and stir-fried without oil. I didn't have my hot sauce being away from home, but I'd recommend for a stronger taste. I'd also suggest adding Cilantro and lime. These are pea protein based. The cost was $3.50 per package and serves 4. Amazon has them. However, they are $6.99 each.

Since they have a monopoly, their prices are outrageous. Bought a bag of broccoletti at Trader Joe's for 1/2 of the price at Hy-Vee for example.

We enjoy shopping and eating at Hy-Vee. We can always find what we need and usually end up with more than we intended on buying, thanks to their sales. We eat there enough times a week that staff knows us and are very kind.

We shop 3 different locations of Hy Vee. This location is the largest. The employees are always helpful and pleasent. The produce section is the best of the HyVee locations in this corridor. The deli and bakery is also very large with lots of selections. The meat department is perfect.

Great selection. Excellent market area for being a supermarket and not a specialty market.Cheese selection was great as was the charcuterie.You have your everyday necessities along with unique market type items.

If you are looking for wedding flowers, I highly recommend Debra at the Lantern Park Hy-Vee in Coralville! She was great to work with and brought my dream/vision for my bridal bouquet to life! I wanted succulents in my bouquet which can be tough to do but she made it happen! I loved my bouquet and received many compliments! Thank you, Debra!

I retired from the grocery store business, so when my husband and I travel for his budiness, I love to check out the competition. HyVee has some unique items, and that's a good thing. Prices are on the high side, but that may be an Iowa thing, as we are from TN, our prices on groceries are a bit lower. The store is laid out completely different than a Kroger Family stores.We picked up one of the take and bake pizzas and breadsticks, which was awesome. Right there with the pizzas are additional toppings, clever idea, so you can dress up your pizzasaccordingly, and we did.Cruised the bakery section for some cookies and brownies, which again were awesome, the Prairie Farms brand of chocolate milk was not so awesome, as I am a 2-3 gallon a week chocolate milk drinker. Kroger still wins with their chocolate milk !!Produce was full and fresh, cheese shop the same, meat was looking good too. You had a few choices of in store fresh meal options, Asian, which smelled yummy, fried chicken of course and a few others to choose from. I believe they were for to go only as I do not remember seeing a place to sit and eat.The store was not too busy for a Tuesday evening, plenty of associates, some friendly, some do not acknowledge your presence.Of course I had to get a HyVee card for the savings and fuel rewards.

The store is decent...a little like walking through a maze though. The people at your Chinese food counter are rude. Every time the lady asked me what I wanted, she would start talking to her coworkers whenever I would try to place my order. Then she couldn't get the order right.

I've learned a lot in my 6 plus years of working at the store; both good and bad. I think this job is especially great for people who are in high school and are wanting to start making a living. Every job has their pros and cons, so I'm not gonna ruin it for you. All I'm gonna say is, your experience is gonna be different than mine. I had to overcome lots of hurdles along the way but if there's one thing I've learned from all my struggles, it's this; try to stay positive and no matter what happens, just be who you.Update: This is how I know my coworkers don't care about me. Last Tuesday, I didn't show up for my shift because I thought I had it off and just as I thought, they didn't even bother to call. I'm actually not surprised especially since when I'm at work, they only talk to me when they want something which further confirms my theory that they could care less about my wellbeing.

This store seems to have everything. Great bakery section and a great alcohol area even though I don’t drink alcohol. Very large and spacious store. The young man who at the checkout was very courteous. Enjoyed shopping here. Wish it was closer to where I live. The Hy-Vee stores near me are nice but they are nothing compared this store.

Since learning Hy-Vee is Kim Reynolds' biggest donor, our family, along with numerous others, will never spend another penny there. Too bad for them, we were averaging $400-600 dollars a week there.
