2015 May 18th I finally gave up on trying to do life on my terms . I entered the doors of sheep gate not knowing my life would be for ever changed. I was completely lost an out of options. It’s was 40 years of addiction I can say today God has removed these desires from me. So thankful for Sheepgate. Best is yet to come!!

There is a solid and distinct culture at Adult & Teen Challenge of the Midlands. Over the last few years, it's been inspiring getting to know a couple of the people who lead the Re-entry program in Omaha. I would trust them to mentor and care for any of the young adults in my life who struggle with addiction. They're real, they understand the struggle, and they go above and beyond to create an environment that's challenging and grace-filled, accountability-centered but also like family. Much respect.

Teen Challenge was one of the great experiences of my life even though it was the hardest. There were times when I wanted to give up and move on but as I trusted God and pushed through, I began to see the deeper meaning of being and getting help from Teen Challenge. It can be the best decision you could make for your child, husband, or any family member. It isn't easy but as you have God by your side, you can get through it! :)

I absolutely love Adult & Teen Challenge of the Midlands! It is such a great program for people that suffer from past hurts that caused them to fall into addiction, like myself. The Vehicle Donation Program is a key fundraiser that helps keep the doors open!

I was a 24 year old who had pretty much ruined his life with drugs. When I was ready to do something drastic, I came into this program. It gave me the environment to experience real relationship with the Lord and deal with the underlying issues of my addiction. I found a freedom and peace I had never experienced. DONT DO IT, if you have any serious mental health issues. There are other Christian based facilities in Des Moines that offer FREE services and admission in a faith based program. This place Sheepgate knowingly took a schizophrenic, bipolar student with 4 other mental health disorders into their program without being on meds. THEY ARE NOT equipped to deal with this yet accepted him into the program. After 3 days of rollercoaster issues with him they simply dropped him off at the hospital. When I called them the next day they weren’t even aware he was no longer at the hospital. They also lost important contact papers that we filled out on admissions. I have reached out to try and get a partial refund considering he was only there 70 hours and the program was never going to be able to help him. They have completely refused. I don’t know any “Christians” who act with so much greed and insensitivity. BEWARE and if your loved one has serious mental health issues this probably isn’t the place. Find them real licensed help. People who back their services and offer refunds.
