Excellent experience! This was my initial visit after adopting a 6 y/o dog from a shelter. The vet spent over 40 minutes with me and answered all my questions. I had a lot of questions bc I’m trying to choose the best pet insurance. She gave me several tips. This was a very beneficial visit for me and she was really caring with my new dog. And, can’t say enough about Carla at the front desk. She was really kind and patient with me and all of my questions since I’m new to the clinic. This is an amazing place. I felt genuinely cared for by every person I encountered.

I had an appointment for a second opinion as I had for the past two years been taking my senior cockapoo to a clinic on Buffalo Rd. He was last seen @ that clinic 4/11/24. This vet did look at one ear, I had to ask her to look @ both, she didn’t do an examination of his trachea even though her records stated so. He laid next to me, now all the times we’ve been in previously over the past two years oh his heart is strong, no mention of any issues with his lungs.I said why aren’t you listening to his lungs, she used something that connects to her cell instead, all the sudden he has grade 1-2 and yet notes sSy titoalky different. It’s like she copied and pasted from previous visits etc.I was told he had a trachea collapse and grade 2 heart murmur, she was so non chalant and said he’s 15 so at some point it’ll kill him. She supposidly put ear drops and have steroid shot. Yet he went downhill, so pretty sure they just charged me as his ears looked more infected etcShe said as she always did allergies, reverse sneezing. Then he spiraled down hill not eating, not doing much past coughing/gashing,but was drinking water and using restroom.The vet @ University West clinic was phenomenal, she listened and said I need to take an X-ray as it’s his lungs- I just don’t know how much is bad. She came back to explain that his lungs should show black on X-ray and almost all were white. She said he had less than 1/4 if a functioning lung. She said it is not reversible at this point, it is like breathing through a stir straw. This angers me that the other vet misdiagnosed my baby! She said it’s definitely been going on at least 1-3 years. She’s not sure how the other clinic missed it, but it was a fatal mistake as I no longer have him with me. The vet @ this clinic said he could have been treated , his life span should have been longer, & because that vet misdiagnosed it for reverse sneezing 2 yrs well she essentially killed my baby(by misdiagnosing him ). .This vet here at this clinic was friendly, explained everything, and she /staff were hands down amazing! They truly care about the animals, they are conservative with X-rays, labs etc. And I think that they are extremely affordable. The last photo that I took before he had to be euthanized because another vet T the other clinic did not do her job. A part of my heart died when he took his last breath.

I was very happy with the communication University West Pet clinic offered. Actually called to confirm appointment too. I didn't have to talk to an answering service. They didn't rush the appointment. They didn't rush my time going over the choices to protect my fur babies health. Shared best foods to feed that we eat to give them special treats.In all i felt comfortable they were kind & knowledgeable. Not rushing & the clinics location was easy to find. The office was organized, clean & front office was amazing I appreciated this quality so very much! The hours they are open are flexible enough to not miss work to be seen. I am glad i was referred by my friend to switch to this Vet.

We were new to the office. We were greeted with enthusiasm from the front desk girls. So very friendly. Saw the Dr at the time of our appointment, no waiting. He was very attentive to our needs. Explained things very clearly. Maui (dog) was not frightened by anything. We’re very happy with this office. Would recommend to everyone

Tony was groomed beautifully. He is a very big boy so he needs a lot of attention. He is always so excited when he sees the office and loves to come there which is a really good sign. He looks and smells so much better after being groomed so I’m happy he found a place he enjoys.

Receptionist was a bit discombobulated with me for my first visit. I felt like there was some slight communication misunderstandings to start, even though I thought I was pretty specific, detailed, concise, and clear over the phone and by email before arriving to the appointment She worked hard and worked through it and did a great job. Similar issue with vet tech, but again, although there were some struggles, we worked through it and she did a great job. Veterinarian, went great, I gave a lot of specifics, issued my frustrations with previous vet and visits I was going through. She worked with me, we were able to get my dog’s vaccinations up to date and address my concerns. UTI was confirmed negative but she understood there was something wrong with my dog and did extra steps to identify the issue. She was diagnosed, prescribed antibiotics and we were on our way. Overall - very positive experience minus some of the speed bumps. I plan to use this location again. Way better experience than other vet previously used.

Most perfect! Everyone! Most specifically the women who met me at the door to hold it open for Ava and literally helped her to her room! Dr. Heather was superb as always and gave me much comfort! She gave me wonderful enthusiasm as to Ava! I am glad she was Ava's Dr. as she already knew what she has been through. Dr Heather, thank you for your forgiveness with me as I know I probably over talked you some. My apologies as I was super stressed 😫. Thank you for your compassion. Perfect staff! Perfect service!!!

We ABSOLUTELY love Dr Lisa Takes. She does really well with our fur babies. Our Kylo gets major anxiety going to the vet. I feel like the whole team at University West does a REMARKABLE job.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

They are amazing and have a vet that can see reptiles. I got an appointment just to make sure my bearded dragon was fully healthy and that there wasn't anything i needed to do differently to take care of him. They gave me ideas on how to get my beardie not to be so upset with baths and others! I will defiantly recommend to people I know.

Dr Kay is excellent. She listens, makes smart suggestions, is very gentle with my dogs and is excellent technically. I don't think my two dogs were ever aware she was giving them shots.

The staff, the people, are the heart of this vet clinic! My dogs have been going to University West Pet Clinic their entire lives (5 yrs) and they absolutely love going! I recommend University West to all my friends and everyone I meet who has a dog or cat. They take the time to explain the issue(s) or diagnosis, the reason for any vaccinations or medications. I cannot thank you all enough!! Shoutout to Stacy who is amazing!

The lady who looked over our pet seemed rushed, impersonal and annoyed with our questions. She was not lovey towards our cat, giving him zero affection or pets the entire visit. She also only examined his mouth and administered his shots, then proceeded to tell us he needed teeth pulled. She took no time to fully look him over, no looking in his eyes / ears, no looking over his body for lumps or abnormalities, she did not look at his paws or anything else, just his mouth. I am very disappointed with our visit as it was 100% opposite of my previous experience at this location.

MARCH 20,2023 Dr.LORI CLARK has provided vet care for Sammy for years. He is a senior dog 14 years old. The visit was good.NOV.8 2023 DR MARTZ provided vet care for a squirrel bite on Sammy's leg.Dr. Martz has seen Sammy in the past .Dr. Martz is a excellent vet.

Everytime I've bean here with my doggy, it's pleasant. They are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable. I enjoy taking my dog here for typical visits and also if something is wrong.

Charged twice and had a repeat of the same vaccine on my cat, charged the same invoice twice from my first visit and second visit ... Was the paperwork and computer work never updated? Little frustrated since both visits were almost $250.

I couldn’t be more grateful to find this spot. Staff was friendly, price is fair and vet is beyond honest. You don’t feel like they are trying to up charge at all and they all seem to really care.

We have been bringing our pets here for years. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would give a higher rating but on my latest visit it was a mess. They had followed up three times confirming my appointment but when I got there they had no record of it due to computer issues. I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before anyone came in the room at which point I was close to leaving. They need to do a better job managing appointments and staying on time.

I brought my rabbit there for a drooping left side of the face and basically the vet googled in front of me and said my rabbit was going to die from a shut down of the central nervous system and it was untreatable, then she left and came back and said never mind its treatable but by an exotic vet doing surgery. I understand rabbits can be hard to diagnose and not all vets specialize in exotic animals, but I went through an emotional rollercoaster in the span of a half hour because the vet needed to google more. I would have appreciated a more thorough researching by the doctor before telling me my rabbit was going to die and then not going to die.Plus on top of that I paid $50 something dollars for them to tell me to go to a different vet because they dont know much about rabbits. I could have gone to a different vet originally if they just told me that over the phone.All in all I would recommend a different vet if you are looking for rabbit or other small exotic animal care.

I've taken Nina (my cutie cat) to Univ. West since I adopted her about a year ago. We've had an amazing experience with their team from the start and this past week they blew me away.Before going out-of-town, I had discovered an area for concern on Nina's neck. As a first time pet owner, I was overcome with worry that something serious might happen while I was away. I called to schedule an appointment on short notice and the staff was able to squeeze me. Katie promptly addressed all of my concerns — giving me the peace of mind to go out of town confident that I have a healthy kitty at home.I'm so thankful for the support and care that we from the University West team!

I have been taking my two cats to this clinic for several years. Recently one of them had some changes to his eye that really concerned me. I was able to get an appointment the next morning with Dr. Martz. He examined my cat and reassured me that the changes I noticed are not unusual in an older cat. My two elderly cats have always had excellent care at this clinic. The support staff is very considerate and I have total confidence in the veterinary medical care.

Dr. Takes is amazing. She truly cares for your pet, takes the time to fully understand what is going on, and then comes up with a plan to address the issues. So glad I brought my baby here.
