Ordered siding a week ago and arrived today to pick up my supplies and spent 3hrs having pick all my own stuff, nobody came around with me to find my stuff. I even had to pick different corner pieces because they didn’t have the “in stock” pieces I had ordered a week ago! Very frustrated in the terrible customer service that I experienced. When I’m spending over a grand for my supplies I expected much more help to grab the supplies.

Extremely disappointed with the Clive store this morning. I went in with a set of house plans that I made up over the weekend and no one was qualified to look at them or give me any advice. I’m an old man with bad hips. I walk clear to the back, there was nothing to sit on. I was told to go up to the furniture area and sit down and wait on the sofa. Well I’m not sure I’ll go back. You probably just lost a chance to sell a house.

Terrible establishment. Worst Menards I’ve ever been to! Every employee had the worst attitudes and customer service I’ve ever experienced. Lonnie was very unhelpful and was rolling his eyes the whole time my Dad was trying to get the help we needed. As my Dad is in his 60s I didn’t appreciate the tone of voice and attitude he gave him. Very unprofessional.

Made a return today from a purchase yesterday. They wouldn’t put it back on my debit card because I used a $38 rebate on a $100 total purchase. Store credit is for $9.08! If I use less than $9.08 than Menards gets the difference! THIEVES Clive store

They do not have enough product. Had to order more knobs and they arrived but were wrong ones. Same number but different companies. Another trip to return them. One person said they were discontinued another said they are in stock. Today I returned more knobs and got an in-store credit. I also returned a duct and needed 9 of another style. Thought the credit would go towards that purchase. It didn’t. They only had 3 ducts and said I would need to go to another store for the rest. So, as I was leaving, I saw a lady buying flowers and gave the credit to her-$23. I will never go to this store again. In the bright side, the employees were nice.

Fair prices, quality and selections, especially on any home cleaning products. Go here before other home improvement chains for tools, small kitchen appliances or outdoor furniture. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Some products look old like canned or bottled and prices are high. One thing I dislike is their rebate program. One time I got a check for a few dollars and others I got an in-store coupon for $1.38, not worth the .75-cents it cost me to print off a rebate coupon, fill it out, stamp my own envelope and mail it. If it's in-store, I don't want it but I don't know which is offered. 50% of employees are great and 50% hate retail. The cashiers are especially surly, in my experience. Overall, good. Lots of parking but they're always busy.

Went and purchased a ceiling fan for our sons room. Price on the shelf said $75.00 and was wrong brand on mark. Didn’t realize this until I went to Return a paint a couple days later that was leftover. Kristen told me because it wasn’t one day after purchase she couldn’t do anything for me. When I went back to look at fans everything was turned around and correct on shelf of course. I would’ve never purchased fan due to cost difference and now that’s it’s installed she didn’t want item back. So I’m stuck with a fan that was too expensive and can’t return due to a shelving product mistake menards made and apparently 1 day or 5 days it’s a huge deal to even get store credit difference. Will not be going back to purchase any items from them if it’s that big of a deal to make it right. Too bad.

Go somewhere else. Good luck getting a helping hand here. Yard employee was quick to point me in the wrong direction not allowing me to say anything when all I needed was his help. Will start using Home Depot at least I know there boards are just as crooked as Menards help. I will say Adam was a great help when stock inventory was off. Not a surprise though.

Menards 11% hoax - it’s completely a hoax. We were looking for a water softener and it was $449 till last Saturday. So we were watching for the 11% rebate and on Sunday they announced the 11% rebate . So we stopped by yesterday to buy a water softener. They increased the price to $479 for the same product. And give a 11% rebate. So ultimately a customer has to pay more while on rebate time. And their rebate submission one of the worst, still following the old school and to make sure at least a major percentage of customers won’t submit the rebate because of all these hassles.So never wait for 11% rebate better buy things when it’s not on rebateCheck this same product now in Menards it will $478 attached the price it was on last week

I go here quite a bit, very rarely get asked if I need help, even when it's obvious I'm searching for something. I usually have to stop someone and ask. More often than not we both end up searching for it because the employee doesn’t know either. I've been told by employees that they don't carry certain product, then I end up finding it myself. This isn't my experience every time, but about 75% of the time I ask for help, after having to track someone down, they either don't know what I'm talking about, or they don’t know where it is. One time, in the restroom, I witnessed a Menards employee have a bit of an episode when he started screaming at the motion sensor water fossit, because he couldn’t get it to turn on. Their process for having to pick up certain purchases from their outside yard is an absolute joke. It’s extremely confusing and time consuming. They give you zero direction, and 95% of the time, they won’t ask you if you need help loading. I will say that they trump Lowe’s and Home Depot both when it comes to prices and inventory though. Despite their terrible service, I still choose Menards.

Been to this Menards many a time and never had a bad experience. They have millions of different items in stock for whatever project you’re working on. Definitely recommend! Better than HD or Lowe’s for sure!

Thank you Menards you had exactly what I needed and then some.I went in for $10 part to repair my chain and left $130 later, probably would have spent more but I was short on time.Nice store nice people :)

The worst customer service I ever had in my life The associate is so mean they roll their eyes on you before you even finish your sentence or your question and the direct answer is I don’t know what you’re talking about and one of them even made fun of me just because I said I don’t know what kind of paint I want , she work in the paint area, so I wish the store manager just follow up on how their associate interact with their customers because it’s my first and last time at the store, And not just that another associate talk to her came after me to attack me and made fun of me as well just because I told her she needs to be nice and not being mean to people and the reason why I asked her because she worked there so she might know and have an idea ? Also she was telling me that I’m lying the first associate I talk to was nice and not mean to me when she wasn’t even there?? They’re basically so rude and I feel like somebody need to stand up and train them because there’s a reason why they work there

Well my wife and I went there to get her a new gas stove. Yeah, gas! No electric for me. Two guys were standing there talking and talking. They both worked there. I finally told my wife to go ask them to help usThey weren't going to volunteer. We got the stove we wanted and life is good. Gas is the only way besides open flame.

This location had very poor customer service skills. We were standing 5 feet from counter in the Outdoor Deck Supply area. There were 3 men at their computers and none of them looked up for over 20 minutes to ask if they could help us. There is no way they did not see us. Ordered a gun safe which was awesome, great price and speedy delivery. The only problem I had was I paid 96 dollars for delivery from a menards 7 miles from me, menards said they would bring it in house, but delivery guys wouldn't bring in the house. Both of us are disabled vets, how are we going to move a 400lb safe in house. Disappointed

This is a fun place to shop. Of course we know most household items may not be in stock due to the production and warehouse issues at most major chains, but this placed heard the warnings and stocked accordingly. I was able to find the flushed kitchen ceiling light of my choice and the brass Schlage hardware plus my Larson Door. Way to keep your customers happy.

Went because it was 11% off everything in the store. Have never utilized this sale before so I made sure I asked the cashier "will the sale ring up automatically and he said...yes". I didn't think the receipt was correct as I had bought over $115 but didn't want to hold up the line. I get home to find out not only did it not ring up automatically but you need a rebate slip to get the 11% which wasn't offered nor was I told where to get it when I asked the cashier the appropriate question. Really AWFUL customer service and now this 73 year old grandma needs to make a return 10 mile round trip after church tomorrow. Just couldn't be unhappier.🙁😐😞

Customer service is extremely rude. It took them 45 minutes for me to get a refund on a refundable box because they were arguing with me that I couldn't refund it. In a separate incident I called the service desk and the lady was very mean and condescending. 2 for 2 with the worst customer expierence I have ever had.Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I definitely did not go through on buying my lumber from this Menards the second time.

Do not buy a Christmas tree at Menards in Clive! Have purchased there the last 5 years and been happy with the price and size. This year they are $60 for a 6-7 foot. They are prewrapped which has never been a problem but this year I got home and this is the smallest tree ever. The actual tree is maybe 4.5 ft with a foot of a bare branch at the top. I tried to email customer service with my disappointment and I got a one email response saying I can return it to the store. I responded saying what an inconvenience this would be to have to lug a tree back into the store and that I would prefer to get my money back and nobody even bothered to respond to me. Will not buy from Menards again! You are better off going to a Christmas tree lot and paying $75!
