I can tell by your employees that your stores definitely gonna go broke. I could just tell by their attitudes how rude they are.6 8 10 people in line to get their fabric. Cut, then you go and wait if the cashier again for another 6 8 10 people. What's a matter with you people?

I usually love this store because if the employee Donna she's always friendly has a great smile and always so willing to help with whatever you need. HOWEVER today is another story there is a manager type large adult man at the cash register today who acted as tho he hates his job did not smile nor greet us in a friendly manner and when we went to use our coupon he snapped at us it doesn't work for that item. When we tried to politely tell him it wasn't part of the exclusives list ON THE ACTUAL coupon he again snaps that there is an extended list of exclusions now on their website. First of all how are we suppose to know that second of all when did that happen 3rd of all it's literally almost every single item in the store on that list! If you're going to give your faithful and loyal customers coupons let them use it it was a $20 for Pete sakes I don't think the company is gonna miss me being excited to use a copoun so that I buy MORE items while in the store and come back for more when the next coupons drop. SMH

Very quick store with a large selection of fabric. Be careful to avoid high-traffic hours as there is usually only one person at the register and no self-check-out option. Will return.

I placed an in-store pick-up order online at 10:30 am. It stated on line to give a hour or two for email notification that your order is ready for pick up. I live a little over an hour away so I headed to Des Moines to pick up 6 skeins of yarn. I got to Joann at 2:30 pm, asked if my order was ready for pick-up and was told "NO. You are not supposed to come in until you receive an email saying it is ready". I explained that I live a long ways away and it's ok that it isn't ready. I can grab it myself seems how I am here and save your employee the trouble. Oh no, I was told I couldn't do that and to just look around while they got it ready. No problem, that's what I did. I came out of the bathroom to hear the employee that got my order ready complaining about me. I said "I offered to get the order myself and you are rude!" She continued to run her mouth to me. Made me feel like crying because I never complained one time to them!! Never again!!

I came here with the intention of spending 300 to 400 dollars.Well. If the customer service I'd gotten had been where it should have been, I would have. Maybe Sunday employees just hate their jobs?To start with, I could see the fabric I needed, but do to an issue with my arm, I couldn't reach it. So I took the one roll that I was able to reach to the counter and told the man there that I needed help getting the other rolls because I needed this amount. He stared at me and goes "well there's only this amount on the roll". I said yes, that's why i want help getting the rest of it. But i can't reach it. He shrugged and went "then you don't get it".So I said ok. Then I don't want any of that then. He then slammed around the rest of the fabric that I was getting and had an attitude about cutting it for me. I went to the counter to purchase my order, where the cashier asked if I'd gotten everything and when I tried to explain to her what had happened, she talked over me, then ignored me entirely and spoke to my friend instead of me, despite the fact I am the one paying. Then told me if I didn't like having problems I should download their app. I don't know how an app would've stopped that issue. I told her that's probably not helpful and that I don't want their app, especially since I live far away and only make trips in once in a while and she just shook her head at me and practically threw my receipt to me.Think I'll be switching to Amazon for sewing materials now too.

The old store had a better selection of apparel fabrics and had better prices. I went there yesterday to buy this fabric I knew they had that used to be $8 a yard and it’s now $18 a yard. I ended up leaving and going to hobby lobby where I found better fabric for $7 a yard. I don’t plan on revisiting this store I’ve gone a few times and been disappointed every time.

Love this joanns, it's huge. We didn't even have time to get through all of it. My grandma really liked it, just need to have the glow in the dark yarn for her in stock.

I am giving this place a four star because of the big price tag. The reason I am giving it four stars though is because they always have sales. At this time, they are giving 50% coupons off anything in the store with no exclusions. This allows you to score some pretty sweet deals. Below are the logos for Jo-Ann so that you know what to look for if you decide to visit.

I always keep to myself and usually don’t ask employees for questions unless necessary, and I finally asked for help today and instantly regretted it. There was a very nice older woman who was willing to help me, and called over someone maybe a manager or someone. An older man with a black/grey ponytail. He instantly seemed defensive, was talking loudly at me, basically shrugged me off. If it’s not on the floor, can’t help you sorry. If he would have taken 2 seconds to even look at the product on my phone (which it said was in stock here) he would have easily been able to redirect me to another asile which had the same product, different brand. Which I found after wondering myself around. I’ve worked in retail, and I would have dug through those boxes to find a customer their product, let alone have the knowledge that Resin products live under Resin and Resin Jewelry. Easily could have helped, did not need to rudely and defensively shut me down. Thank you to the kind woman who was trying to help me best as she could.

Great store for those who are in to sewing and other various hobbies. The cutters are super friendly and passionate about their craft. There's only one unisex bathroom though.

Love the new building! The lighting is wonderful and the shelves are stocked! It's clean and you're not wondering if the ceiling is going to fall in on you! Why no electric scooter carts for the disabled? Maybe they're coming later? Overall a nice place to shop!

I love that this location has all the bells and whistles! They have some items that I can't find at other location or chains, especially in the yarn department. I absolutely love the tables set out to sit and craft at! I think building community is an important part of crafting that often times gets ignored... everyone I've interacted with here has been knowledgeable and helpful!

I have rated and reviewed many “big box” craft stores over the years and JOANN seams (see what I did there?) to be the one that I can’t consistently give 5 stars to. The only reason for that is probably because of my reason for visiting and that is to purchase yarn for various commissions or projects. Sometimes they have a great selection and stock and sometimes they don’t AT THIS STORE. But I have noticed lately that the store seems to be getting it together and have been consistent the past several times iI have visited. So I am happy to once again give 5 stars, and thanks to the manager of another store for explaining to me the reasoning behind some of the confusing “clearance” pricing I had been seeing! If you would like me to elaborate on that, send me a direct message and I’ll be happy to pass on the info!

If you haven't visited the new JoAnns location in Clive you definitely need to! So much more space than their old store and lots of new items to check out along with the same great helpful staff that's always ready to help with your projects. It may take a minute to orient yourself to the store layout but you'll find everything you need plus many things you didn't know you needed...😁

I've only been to the new location - and found it roomy, clean, and easy to navigate. Everything I visited for was in stock. While the art supplies selection was not as good as, say, Michaels - the ease of shopping experience more than makes up for that. Will be back!

I'm someone that goes to fabric stores rarely. This was the first time I have been to this store. It is new and it is big. The staff was helpful directing me to where I could find what I was looking for. Then I spent several minutes choosing from a big array. Quality place.

Haven't been here for years! I love this store! They have so many things in here. Crafts, seasonal decor, any sewing needs. It's clean, organized, and employees were very helpful! The cashier needed a dose of friendliness though. Reason I gave 4 stars.

I love that Joann’s is pet friendly. I’m training my service dog and we love to go train here. It’s a plus that we can do that while buying craft supplies. Everyone is always super nice and doesn’t distract my boy.

Very nice new store, very organized. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. This store is large and I love how bright it is inside. Lighting around the thread area helps to match the shade to your fabric. More cutting tables to get fabric cut. Very clean

They don't help customers unless you go to the counter, had 3 employees walk right past me even though I attempted to ask questions. Even though I love a good fabric store, this is not a place I would recommend going unless you've been there numerous times before and don't mind no customer service

New location. Electronic que machine is nice. Can shop while waiting for your turn at the cutting table. If you're planning on getting fabric cut best to get it first and get in the que then browse.

I am writing this review not really about JoAnns but about the Viking dealer they have in their store. My wife purchased a fairly expensive embroidery machine and used it a little over a year she decided have it cleaned and checked out she took it Back where she bought from the Viking dealer in the JoAnns store in Clive Iowa.. they sent it out to the authorized Viking dealer that cleans and repaired their machines. It was gone over a month and we were inquiring about it when we found out the it was shipped back to the store and when the woman working their opened it a piece on the embroidery arm was broken. So they sent it back and said they would replace the arm. When we got the part that they replaced back and got it home we found out it was an older part and not a new one. We feel they had the am when it got broke and they should have replaced it with a new one .Don’t buy sewing machines or embroidery machines from this dealerHer machine was like nes condition when we send out to get cleaned and serviced,,, Then it came back with a broken.when Viking replaced the broken ARM it was replaced with a older used ARM.The sales part was good when we bought but the Maintiance and repair service is horrible sent my wife’s machine back with a older part. An older replacement parts for something they broke.Very poor customer service from Viking. We will never buy from them again and will spread the word about how they operate.

New store/location is great. This place is huge, clean and well staffed on the floor. Could use an additional cashier when busy, but all in all, a nice place.
