Some prices are absolutely phenomenal, and others are a little crazy. We can usually get in and out pretty quickly. They have great deli food! Love the 4 u deals!***Update**- Tonight, we went into the store and grabbed a few groceries. My husband tried getting fried chicken when we first went in roughly 7 pm.The employee @ the deli stated she was done with the fryer and no more fried chicken. We went about getting our groceries and as we started heading to the front of the store my husband heard a customer at the deli asking for an order of fried chicken -my husband went over- the customer said yes he heard correctly & she was ordering fried chicken & my husband better tell the deli employee right away- which he tried to do (it wasn't even in the fryer yet- and the deli employee refused to throw in another order.(Now the 1st customer asked for 2 orders & my husband asked for 1 order - and the deli employee refused him even tho the fryer had more than enough room) This was a little frustrating as we had tried almost an hour before to order the fried chicken.The cashier at the register even mentioned something to one of the others that something needed to be done regarding the deli.I will be calling the manager in the morning to discuss what happened, as we are frequently in the store for groceries and the deli fried chicken, and this was our first questionable experience.

I grew up in Clinton but have lived in Chicago for >40 years. My mother (and now I) have shopped at this Jewel since it opened. Some folks may not know this was the site of an old brewery. I love this Jewel. While things have changed over the years, it continues to provide a great selection, and many of the staff are friendly and welcoming. As the only Jewel in Iowa, Clinton is luck to have it!!!

I haven't been to Jewel Osco in around twenty years, but the more things change, the more they stay the same. The prices, as always, are generally higher than all the other grocery stores in the area, and the quality of the "generic" items tends to be lower than the average.That said, there are specialty items that can't be found in any of the other area stores, the selection of produce is pretty impressive, and the people there are friendly and helpful.I comparison shopped and took advantage of sales, but still ended up spending over $130 for relatively little. It's really not worth shopping there, unless you're looking for produce or some specialty items.

Clean, organized store. Most workers are super friendly. They have many brand name products; plus, their own brand, like Signature. Great food.Overall, wonderful experience. Just wish they had cheaper prices.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Every single time I go into jewel and buy grocies patty the cashier has made rude unnecessary and unprofessional comments at me and mY friends /partner. All because I had to put a few items back(happens to almost everyone in the world) she has made me feel so unwelcome the past 3 times I've come in there . Not at all how someone should treat anyone when you work in CUSTOMET SERVICE

Found everything we needed. I like the smaller store, easier to get through. They have great sales, when I remember to clip the coupons to my loyalty account. Easy to use phone number to access discounts and coupons.

Tonight we checked into the pharmacy around 4:40. The tech Joselyn told me my daughter’s prescription was almost ready so we had a seat to wait. Several other customers came and went and I continued to sit and wait patiently with my daughter. My phone chimed alerting me the prescription was ready and we continued to wait. I finally walked up to the counter as I wanted to get my daughter home and simply stated I received a text the prescription was ready and Joselyn ripped my head off. She was extremely unkind and unprofessional. To make matters worse a mistake was made on my daughter’s prescription and Joselyn let us sit so long it was to late to contact the office for a correction. Now I have a small child in pain with a fever with horse pills to administer. Mistakes happen and I am okay with that but I am absolutely not okay with Joselyn’s lack of customer service skills. I am thankful for the the kind Pharmacist Emily who intervened with helpful suggestions and Natalie the store manager that let me vent, but I will likely not be back. I will strongly encourage corporate, whom I will be calling tomorrow to review the footage of tonight’s event when I call tomorrow.

People working in deli all seem like they hate their jobs, always get an attitude when asked if they could throw in fresh wings, but still continued to go there because their wings are really good. But the last straw was when I watched an employee from deli drop an item on the floor and then continue to use it on the food. Poor customer service and food safety standards.

I went there last night to get one specific ice cream. They appeared to be out. So I left and called to see when it would be restocked. A gentleman from grocery department told me he would check. Not only did he get me the restocked date. He also checked and found 3 that I didn't see. So I turned around went back and bought them. Great customer service 👏

They have some good deals at times. Cashiers sometimes give wrong total so be sure to check your receipt if you purchased items that were reduced/on sale. Much better now that Lavone is gone. Fruit is sometimes sub par

Disappointed! Jewell, in my opinion, is overpriced. The produce section lately is bare. 4 times in the last month alone, we've gotten different fruits. Strawberries, watermelon, mango and several others. The above specific fruits have either had mold on them or taste pungent! The price of food in general has greatly increased, the price of fruit is so high it blows my mind, naturally its extremely irritating when you have to throw it out because of the condition of the product! My experience with their employees has been unfortunate. All but 2 employees are unfriendly, not helpful, dont smile, let alone have a conversation with you. I have yet to figure out how to enroll in their reward club. I've asked the last 3 times I've been there and the check out employee acts like they cant hear me cuz I get no response. We started going there cuz its close to home. No more, back to Fareway from now on

The pharmacist Matt is by far one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth pharmacists we've ever met. He also makes my four-year-old daughter smile and feel very welcome every time we visit.

Nice, clean store. Seemingly the only one in town. The guys in the butcher shop were externally helpful. They cut some pork up for me the way I wanted. I wasn't able to get ground pork though. It's hard to get ingredients for lumpia in this town, but we made it work.

I normally shop their sale items as the prices are very decent at that time. I am loving all the organic & earth friendly products I have been seeing lately. The grocery baggers are great & normally super nice. At times some in management are not the friendliest & have even verbally fought between each other in front of customers.

My first time shopping here. They had awesome sales on certain items so I got many of them. My 3 year old insisted on getting a cart for herself . An employee asked if I needed help and found us a fire engine kids cart! She loved it making shopping a breeze. Wonderful!

Last night I went to jewel for the first time in a long time and I was somewhat disappointed. And the bag boy put all my groceries in 2 different carts then asked if he can help me to my car what the heck why 2 carts I didn't have a whole lot. Then when I got home there were several bags with only one item like a single yogurt. And boxed thing in with some fruit smashing it. I prefer hyvee they have conveyer belts for self check out so I can just do it myself and get it done correctly.

I’ve never been to Jewel-Osco before moving to Clinton Iowa. I’ve found that it’s one of the best places to shop for food. They have just about everything you need there. The prices are very reasonable and they have a rewards program. You have to shop there to see all that is available. There are far too many things to list. It’s a clean and friendly environment and they keep the carts clean. That is a big plus. They are more than happy to assist you with finding what you need. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed 😊

The cashiers are very fast and friendly. There is always someone to bag your groceries as they ring your items up. Go through checkout very fast. Their produce is very fresh. That's the main reason I shop there.
