Very nice and clean. The bathrooms were spotless and smelled good. The floors were wet from the snow melting so I used the motor kart since my fake leg would make me slip on the wet floor. Great experience

Hy-Vee is usually our number one place to shop for our groceries here in Clinton. We especially liked the self check out lanes that have been put up within the last few years. Recently, one side of self check out registers have just been sitting there collecting dust, while the others are now only used for customers buying 12 items or less. This is annoying, but would be acceptable if other lanes with cashiers would be open. This morning only 2 lanes were open. The lines were ridiculously long and we're going down other aisles of the store, making it difficult for other customers to do their shopping. We waited almost 20 minutes on the dot to check out, and we got in line before they got as long as I described above. In my opinion, that is unacceptable Clinton Hy-Vee. Customers in front and behind us were also complaining. Something in your store needs to change, or you are going to begin losing customers.

I hadn't been to Hy-Vee in Clinton for a few years because I had lived out of state. I was more than excited to shop again at Hy-Vee. Things have changed at Clinton Hy-Vee. My husband and I felt like we were followed around by store security and or employees. When we got up to check out we went to the self check out which was a new feature since I had been there.. but for staff to stand over us and watch us was completely wrong. I don't know what goes on there but I do know that we are not thieves and we should be treated as customers. So my shopping experience wasn't the shopping experience I remembered. It's hard to be comfortable and shop and look at things when people are following you around like you're doing something wrong. So I hope Hyvee gets it together and I can come back and shop there again in peace. I was disappointed when I found out the store wasn't coming to Freeport because we live closer to Freeport but if this is the way they treat their customers I'm glad they didn't come to Freeport.

Its a good store and has the capability of offering great deals but I find the "deals" more often than not, to be deceiving. Beware of the wording used. Beware of their fuel saver offers. You have to read and read again. Even TV adds are deceiving. They have meat sales advertised such as chicken breast or pork chops $1 a piece. Get to the store and find out they are packaged in 10 or 12 to a package. Can't buy 1 or 2. Its like they are playing games. Make it sound good to get you in the store, to fill your cart and find out after that its not what you assumed. Buyers fault for not reading between the fine print lines? In a court of law, yes. But in the court of whats decent? Hmmmm. Jurys still out in my mind. Also, Seems to me ever since the new Perks program started, the fuel saver aspect went to cr*p. And the fuel saver adds have gotten more deceiving. And predjudist against those that don't do the newfangled online shopping or phone app offers are appearing quite regular. We received the newest add, stating that if you spend $150.00+ on groceries you get $1 off fuel. We intentionally waited for the weekend to shop. Spent $170+ on groceries only to find out the offer did not apply to in store shopping. Online only. Now, is it our fault for not understanding it was offered to online shoppers? Maybe partly. BUT, when I got home I checked the add. Wording stated in large letters $1Fuel Saver on a $150+ orders. In all honesty, thats probably what my mind zeroed in on and registered. Didn't even see the rest being small letters had hy vee website. In letters so small I had to dig out a magnifying glass it had the effective dates. NO WHERE did it state online "only." That is faulty advertising. ALL shoppers should receive the same benefits of having a perks card. ALL shoppers should be treated the same and not get the lesser "perks" because they choose to do their own shopping. Just saying. Fair should be fair. We are ALL spending our hard earned money for the same items. And some, like myself, are on a fixed income. We specifically count on the deals. And don't appreciate knowing that there's different treatment for different types/style of shopping. Isn't shopping, shopping regardless?

Worst Chinese food I've ever had at Hy-Vee's grocery stores. Got a two entrees meal and it was very little. They wouldn't even give me extra rice. The food was absolutely horrible. And way overpriced for what you got. It was so bad that it turned me off to Hy-Vee Chinese food. Very unlikely I'll ever eat Chinese in any of the high v grocery stores.

Nice store, I enjoy that the bathroom is right there in the entrance and it has a gas station in the parking lot, getting out of the parking lot is a little confusing depending on where you go out on to public roads and they don't have a good amount of the health food things I usually get at other hyvees but I enjoyed the helpful employees looking with me.

I'm disappointed.. they had a sale regarding apples that when you went through the register, it rang up another price.I've had this experience with hyvee before, and it reminded me why I don't shop here anymore. I will say some of their fruit is fresh(er) but not enough to pay the extra price.Perks or not.. there are still issues. Pay attention to the register when items are rang up and watch the expiration dates.Some outdated items are being missed, and if you're not paying attention, you'll grab them.On another note-my husband waited for 2-3 minutes attempting to get fresh sliced cheese.However, even tho there were 3 people, no one waited on him. 1 of the 3 were busy with another customer - but the other 2 looked over at him and then ignored him.Sorry-I will take my business elsewhere.

Tubes of hamburger meat had holes in them, and the smaller ones were not as damaged but the price was more… if you’re not going to take care of your product, then don’t charge more for the ones that you don’t destroy and put on the shelf.

It's the only place I can find the Whalburger pickles. Keep them stocked and have a good meat selection, and I'll continue to shop there

Went in for their steak dinner tonight steak was a little tough but that's just the cut of meat they serve. The girls cooked it exactly the way I asked so I was pleased. Enjoyed my meal very much definitely didn't disappoint

No helpful smiles in any isle. Asked for cool whip and directed me to ready whip claiming that's all they had. Not good service or employee to take time to learn stor & what item are sold where at and not give bad answers that are false.

Will screw over customers and lie about sales and way overpriced on items try calling about being overcharged on a item they had a sale on that i got charged full price on and was told it was another item that was in a different section if you go to this hyvee watch items being rung up that is on sale they will try every other way to have people pay way more than what stuff is worth

Don't order from hyvee mealtime through doordash....spent 80$ on sushi, entree meal, egg rolls, spring rolls and crabrangoons,.....didn't send all the sushi, didn't send the sweet and sour sauce that I specifically ordered...egg rolls were burnt and unedible...sushi that I did receive was fine and entree meal was OK but everything else was beyond unacceptable. Doordash refunded 22$ which is still a rip off. Very disappointing

I was in there for an Instacart order. The security guard followed me around the whole time I was in there then he said something about my purse, which wasn’t really that big. I continue to ask him where these items were located since he wanted to follow me around, he was rude and tried to put his hands on me.

The store was large and had a good layout. There was a great selection of EVERYTHING!!! The deli selection was awesome. We have never seen meat displayed in such a delicious fashion. And it was fresh and delicious!!They also had the old school cheese balls!!🤗

The new hyvee+ 'savings' are just the regular old price. You aren't saving anything, nothing is on 'sale'. It's just a scheme to cover a storewide price hike.

Hy-Vee in Clinton,Iowa, is the PLACE.Great butcher area with a wide selection of choice meat, poultry and seafood.It also offers “Gas Saver” discounts on marked select items if you have a Hy-Vee card (no cost involved..just ask to receive one). Stop in and check it out..you’ll be going back!!!
