They leave dogs in so much pain after surgeries or after shots. I rather drive 1 hour to sioux city to a another vet, by mistake my dog was sent to that vet after police took him in front of my house, the wind opened my door. They give them the rabies shot and my dog is in pain since I took him out.

Dr Kacie is a great vet, she is very thorough and knowledgeable and to say she is compassionate and has a true love for animals wouldn’t do her justice. I would highly recommend her as well as the staff at Valley Vet.

If you love small animals i don’t reccomend taking them here ever my poor cat was brought in for a spay and they declawed her with no paperwork or even checking her file and gave no real explanation on how they let this happen.

Started to treat our dog having an active seizure told us they'd call us with news we didn't even get down the road and they decided they didn't want to treat him after they had already semi sedated him they met us at the door and handed us our dog! Thankfully there's other vet clinics who handle this emergency situation better than cherokee!

Dr. Kacie is a wonderful vet for our equine vet! Her expertise is superior and our farrier said she is top notch! To top things off after a long morning she bought us lunch! I’m. So glad she is available on Monday with our farrier who is also excellent!

Misdiagnosed my Milo with a pulled leg muscle back in August, said it would go back to normal in a few weeks. Now 3 months later he’s getting a biopsy on the leg because lump never got better.

Valley vet is friendly, all of the staff are informative and very helpful. My pets enjoy going in for their check ups. I like that when I call with a concern or question they remember my pet and what they have been seen for. Even though I must have asked a few silly questions, I have always been given honest straight forward answers. I highly recommend Valley Vet.

We adopted a dog that was being held at Valley Vet waiting for his owner to claim him. The hold period is 2 weeks. Valley Vet let this poor dog sit in their professional care for that entire time covered in ticks and without a bath. When we picked him up for adoption, my daughter and I picked over 30 ticks from his ears and neck region. There is no way that this clinic inspected for or treated for ticks. That means that all the dogs that were there during his stay were also put at risk. Not a humane way to care for an abandoned dog.

Brought my dog in for ear mites. Huge hassle. Drove to BV vet and they sorted it out for half the price and time. Cherokee vet is a waste of time

They almost killed my dog because they wanted 700 upfront before performing an EMERGENCY SURGERY and then they wouldn’t give me a small bit of help on what is wrong with my dog unless I got an appointment. They used to be generous and kind but now I don’t trust them with my pets lives or any animals life. They should change their whole operation because if they want you to pay before saving a life then all they care about is money not the pets needing help.

I just called to make an appointment to take stitches out of my spayed puppy and I have NEVER had anyone be so rude!!!! A few months ago, my other dog had an allergic reaction on his skin and he has a huge rash all over his body. He was helpless and in serious pain. Do you think they showed any compassion? No. They could not have made it clearer that having him there was the biggest inconvenience. At the end of the day I am a paying customer and they should at least act like they give a damn about animals.

We had the female vet out to float teeth and ultrasound horses. She was awesome she let the kids feel the sharp point on the teeth! She was great!! Plan on working with her again.

They are always tacking on extra expenses here and you will end up paying probably double what you'd pay anywhere else. Also they really just don't care about animals here. They are always telling you that you should euthanize them even when you may have other options. Always get a second opinion if you went here first. Or, you know, just don't go here. I think they take advantage of the fact that they have the only clinic in Cherokee.

Skilfull vet but the front desk person contributed to a preventable NIGHTMARE for my much loved pet and priceless friend.YThe best vet can not do their job at all when office staff functions as a BRICK WALL.Get them a job crushing rocks away from living feeling valuable people and their VALUABLE animals.MY DOG WAS FAMILY!!!!An essential part of medicine must include making SURE that the staff is caring concerned and protective of.
