I mostly did all my shopping at hy-vee, that has now changed. Their prices are way higher and their sale prices are at regular prices elsewhere, ridiculous. You aren’t getting bargains, So I now shop elsewhere to get better everyday prices which are below hy-vee sales prices. Plus, I find if you don’t use the salads and fresh vegetables within the week they start to go bad, over priced also.

If you need groceries they got you covered. From my experience there usually isn't too long of a wait at the checkouts, and it's not hard to find what I'm looking for. We generally do the shopping when they aren't super busy though. I'm not sure how busy this particular store gets, but where I live they have multiple locations, and all of them get that way at times. They also have armed guards at some locations.

Absolutely superb!!!Super hospitable and courteous.The store sits at the top of the hill, making it easier to push the buggie down to the car.

Went shopping before leaving the area on our rv trip. Picked up the best pork chops & corn on cob ever. That's what the area is famous for.

Friendly employees. Nice store. Have recently gone to more of their own brands of stuff which sometimes is not so good. Limited kinds of milk. Self-checkouts... Yay!

Sorry but this is the absolute worst Hy-Vee or grocery store I have ever been into.Self checkout only except for one like usually 10 deep, shelves are always empty, meat department practically nonexistent, produce is usually rotten, frozen section half empty every day, prices are higher here and the selection and variety of items is incredibly mediocre.2 stars only because there are a few really good people left who work here and they don't deserve to work at such a terrible place.

I just got done shopping at Hy-Vee and it was the worst shopping experience that I have ever had. They're going to self checkouts but the machine aired seven times while I was checking out and had to have assistance. And then if you need to pay by check you have to have the manager come over one more time to suspend the order so you can check out at customer service. Just lost a customer.

I usually go to the Sheldon Store. I tried the Cherokee Store this time. The meat selection wasn't as good, my yogurt isn't carried there as well as some others. I just figured all stores carried the same stuff. But the biggest inconvenience besides not getting my gas points was the fact that I had to self scan the entire order myself with no assistance lifting my heavy stuff because there isn't a hand scanner and my order was over $800. I'm disabled and could barely load my car.

Cashier was wonderful. Broke down my fuel saver and took time to explain things to me. Everyone in the isles stocking shelves said good morning and they were very friendly.

Got blueberries after rolling them around in the container to make sure they were good. Looked good but over half of them I threw away! 🙄 strawberries and grapes were good.

Overpriced and understocked most days. Only reason I go to High V is that they have a excellent Deli. For a showcase store I'm not very impressed. And now they have self checkouts you would think that you are in a Walmart

This place wasn't good or bad. This place is a gas station mixed with a restaurant: (McDonald's). I love the service and how kind the workers are to use even though they see people similar to use all day long! (The McDonald's food taste the same as any McDonald's, which I like! 😂) The downside to this place is, it is another place in the middle of a small area, this is a reason to forgive the possibility of paying more than you attended. The prices for the gas station are a dollar or two over the price you would pay in Walmart, but the quality is good!

The produce selection is not good at all and be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes to check out because they never have more than one or two check out lanes open. The meat counter has been removed and been replaced by pre packaged items. All in all the store isn't what it used to be. Other Hy Vee stores are much better.

The employees are always helpful no matter what time of day, or the amount of customers in the store. I'm always impressed by both Stormlake, Hy-Vee pharmacies that seem to always, ALWAYS take care of not only my needy self but my mom in law and husband with great care every dang time! Thankyou for your neverending care!

I cannot even believe how poorly this store location is ran and how much it’s gone down the drain. Everytime I go in, there’s no one bagging groceries, there’s only ever two lines open even when it’s busy. I watched checkers page for managers and no manager ever showed up to assist with the front. For a HyVee they have no selection and little stock. There already isn’t much shopping in Cherokee and HyVee isn’t helping that cause at all. This is one of the worst locations I have ever been to. Hard to support and shop “local” when the store is ran poorly and there’s no selection. Sorry not sorry.

Very diverse (in a good way) food selection. Pricey when compared product by product to other similar stores, but that is the "price" one must pay if they want certain goods without travelling to Omaha or Des Moines. They will special order products for you if they don't carry it.

I had scrambled eggs,sausage and hashbrowns. Everything was good. Tables had been freshly cleaned the plastic utensils are in a dispenser, hand sanitizer were you order looked like everything was as safe as it can be.

I'm conflicted here because of a bad experience I had from a specific employee. I am a regular shopper here and usually find what I need and want.While most employees are very helpful and friendly, which I greatly appreciate... one specific employee blatantly refused to serve me and my family, on Thanksgiving day no less, and verbally said she would absolutely not help us, to another employee, loud enough for us to hear it.It was not appropriate or professional at all. I myself have a different outlook on some of the people working here. Not cool HyVee... not cool! Although it was one employee, she represents you and your company, and is not doing a very good job of it!

Eh. Building feels frumpy and sad. A lot of wasted potential there considering it's just them and fareway being main stores in town. Associate staff is always friendly. Management is another story. It's an alright store.

I was very excited to hit up the Hyvee deli until I drove up to see a woman entering the store in horribly colored tights that totally ruined my appetite. However, I powered through, and thank goodness for that. Once I ordered my food, I received a sizeable portion including the second largest sausage I'd seen all day 😏, and a mound of potatoes. The lady behind the desk suggested that we try the Brussels sprouts because "they were very good", which makes me largely distrustful of employment around here in general. However, my friend got them and said they were very tasty, which makes me distrust him as well. In conclusion, don't be turned away by atrocious clothing style or dishonest employees, because the meat is worth it.

This is a review on the Kitchen. Had my daughter pick up some soup. They told her the options and she chose chicken noodle. Went to open it and had one noodle! Just broth and one noodle. I called the kitchen and I just got excuses. No I’m sorry no nothing. 5 bucks for chicken broth and noodle is kind of steep! It wasn’t after I said most people would apologize. She simply said . I’m not the one who did it. Please teach people how to work with the public!
