We went there to check on the igloo dog kennel. Nate was very helpful. They didn’t have any but he said he could get one transferred in, which is great because otherwise we would have to drive to Marshalltown.Then I was talking with CW about dog toys. Learned quite a bit about which ones are indestructible, which fibers on some are now digestible. We have a 5 month lab who loves to chew. She also has the igloo kennel n gave us some good tips, like no blankets in the winter time inside as if any water or sweating or something will freeze on blankets & be ice, just put like shavings ect in.Both employees very nice & super helpful !!

We like leaving Mason City just to get out of town, so whenever we end up in Chuck Town we always at least stop here, my daughter use to love all the varieties of Schliech toys you use to have, but this last time we were here you were remodeling the toy department and it seems that brand of toys has been replaced by a new (but cheaper looking) brand. The people are always nice to us though, even though we're the out of towners.

We get all of our animal supplies here and my husband also enjoys getting his summer sausage here lol. Theisens has a large variety of clothing, parts, home farm and auto supplies.

I always love this store. Some employees may need a bit of education in what they do though.. lady at the gun counter seems to believe you still need a permit to conceal carry in Iowa..

We were looking for a chain saw after an earlier breakdown.Doug exceeded any expectations you could have ever set. Helpful, knowledgeable, made sure all are questions were answered. After our purchase we needed some assistance and he was able to get us back up and running. When you talk about small town service Doug delivered. I would recommend this store to anyone needing help. I was greeted with no less than 3 pleasant hellos when i entered by staff. Thank you Doug for making a bad start to our day with our equipment breakdown turn into something so positive. You have our business going forward!!!

Great store, great products. Overall customer experience- the employees still hide from you. I was asked once if I needed help finding what I was looking for. The other employees avoided me, didn't give eye contact. Other than the cashier, the other employees need some work. This wouldn't happen at the New Hampton store. When I walked in, no one greeted me.

Store is a lot smaller and of course carries less products but it would be nice to carry bigger sizes of product for example Odorlock cat litter, only the 13lb bag is available for 12.99 and at a bigger Theisens I can by a 25lb bag for 18.99. I almost feel like they purposely carry the smaller on purpose. Get better deals for us customers.

This an ok place to shop. The selection is fairly decent. I can't say I've had any bad experiences, but there's room for improvement. For one thing, stock is sometimes sparse. If you need four of a certain plumbing part, for instance, there may well only be two on the shelf. Another problem is that it is quite difficult to locate someone to help you. I really think staff needs to be out on the floor more, helping customers.

I've found what I need here consistentlyincluding Christmas gifts. The staff is very friendly. It's nice to have it in town.My only complaint was a pair of gloves I bought falling apart after a short time of use.

Nice selection of plumbing, electric, farm, pets, paints and so much more. If you need it, they probably will have it here and in a city without much for options, this store can usually fulfill your needs and save you a trip to Mason City or Waverly which is always a plus😁
