I love Sam's Club, the prices etc. But...huge BUT - being blasted by music at 8 am, is not our idea of a good shopping experience. Please note - Costco never has music playing. Never. Neither does ALDI. You might not think this is a serious issue - but it is. Music has tremendous power. I would have to conjecture that the management is foolish in the extreme.

Sams club is the best place in Marion Cedar Rapids area to get groceries especially in bulk!! This store has amazing prices and you can easily spend an afternoon browsing here! Sample days are the best the cafe also has super cheap food and it’s fantastic. Scan and go is a must as it gets pretty busy on a weekend! I recommend sams club over Costco and other alternatives membership price is relatively cheap as well!

Very bad customer service. I ordered Turbotax from them online. I did not receive the download link after waiting for half an hour. I later noticed on their website, it can take up to 48 hours for delivery. I have always been able to get it online very quickly from other vendors, so I did not anticipate this issue. I needed it the same day, so I was going to cancel it and buy a physical copy.Their website stated I cannot cancel it. I called customer service to cancel this online order. After 10 or 12 minutes wait time, I got the auto-message, I was next in line. 5 minutes later I got the message I was next in line with a wait time of 15 minutes. A few minutes later auto-message announced my wait time was 20 minutes, which was not correct estimate either. Time period increase after passing time was making me upset. Wait time is supposed to go down after waiting, not go up.Anyway, around 25 minutes into my call, I got someone on the phone. He said, TurboTax was 3rd party shipper, so he needs to talk to them. He put me on hold and was gone for 20 minutes.During this time, I drove to the their store to buy a physical copy of the DVD. Their customer service at the store was not able to help, while I was waiting on the phone. Local shift supervisor said, she can cancel it later, but not at this time. So, I held on to the customer service on the phone.After the person on the phone came back, it took another few minutes to cancel the order. Almost 50 minutes of my time wasted just to cancel the order.1) Their TurboTax order processing for download is very slow. I did not have this issue with other vendors in the past.2) Wait time to get to a customer service representative is very long (25 minutes for this call) Wrong and increasing wait time estimates are so frustrating.3) Even after getting the rep on the phone, it took another 25 minutes to cancel the order.I do not expect such low class service from reputable companies.

Working for a living I can not get to Sam's much before 5. Twice I have went to get tires. It is open until 7 per website and also what it shows in store. I went two days in a row. Both same thing. They won't help me! I went today at 4:40 and nobody to be found. Ask CS where they are she said lunch and to come back in 30 mins. I came back at 4:55 to a guy who told me I would have to wait until tomorrow because they are closing up! What a joke! No wonder people like Costco better!

Love the prices but consistency is key, kids! Hate depending on stock, get to Sam's with that 1 thing on my list that ONLY Sam's has, to find out they discontinued that brand or product. That's my only issue. Well, that and it'd be nice to have 2 hrs at the END of the day for Plus members - that'd be perfect!Watch the rewards for plus members, too. Plus membership is 100% worth it for those rewards, earlier shopping times than regular members, and the bonus amount after 1 year is perfect!! 👍Keep it up.

Love it just for fresh squeezed orange juice and easy checkout with scan and go via the app. Their bedding linen is the best. Recent changes at my store seem like they are taking note of competition.

It’s really unfortunate for me to be making a review like this, but it’s necessary. Today, 12/11/2023, my family experienced discrimination and racial profiling from an associate by the name of “LeAnn” at this location as we were leaving out. On this day, we (my husband and I) were guest members to two other family members-who are also sams club members at this location.We shopped, had a great time, stopped for a few slices of pizza, and even partook in the mobile “scan and pay” portion of sams clubs app features. As we were leaving out-like many others, LeAnn decided to point out that our party-would not be able to purchase 2 bottles of wine as “their policy states that everyone who shops & tries to buy alcohol has to have ID’s AND those individuals ID’s MUST be on the account of the SAMS CLUB MEMBER ACCOUNT in order to purchase the alcohol.” Now, as a frequent shopper and individual over the age of 21, NEVER have I had an issue like this alone or whenever I have shopped in the past w/my family member at this location.I’d seen multiple individuals before us and in another line who had alcohol in their carts-whom this process was not executed with them. On top of that, she acted as if my family member utilizing the scan and pay feature, was something foreign and not something to be permitted for our purchases-which was super confusing as it’s SAMS CLUBS APP FEATURE.We talked to a supervisor who confirmed while there is the general alcohol Identification law, where anyone purchasing alcohol or who is in the presence, must present ID’s-also confirmed that the way LeAnn did this, was NOT SAMS CLUBS policy and we should have been allowed to purchase alcohol if we all had our ID’s to present- which WE DID.This is unacceptable behavior as my family members are loyal and frequent shoppers with Sams club and honestly was a waste of time and a HUGE inconvenience for us. I came in today to purchase an iPhone 11 Pro Max for my son for Christmas and was told they have no one servicing the phone department, and have not since October. We were told we should have called to see if they even had the department up and running. When I notified them we were in visiting from Detroit, they told us it was our fault for not calling even though I had already checked the store hours. It is two days before Christmas and apparently Sam's wants nothing to do with selling merchandise. To say we are disappointed is beyond the truth. After requesting multiple times to speak to the manager, Faith. We found out she was refusing to speak with us and was hiding from us. She was forcing her employees to relay messages for her as opposed to doing the job she was hired to do. It was quite shocking to find out a member of the management team was leaving her subordinates out to dry while she shielded herself from upset customers.Update: Best Buy in Coralville was more than eager to sell us the phone we originally came here to purchase. Our experience there was wonderful and we are so thankful we had the horrendous experience here which lead us to the fantastic experience there! Thanks Sam's Club and Faith!

Would rate higher but their food inside closes 30 min earlier than advertised when you search it or it says. Close time for restaurant should be 7 on weekdays one hour before the store closes but it's closed down no food by 644. Total lie. Costco is better. They keep hours correct and food court and other locations have correct time.

Never had much of a problem until I ordered curbside pickup today to save time. Everything was fine if I didn’t want all the items I paid for. Getting all the items I ordered and paid for proved challenging. Customer service hung up on me after being on hold fifteen minutes. Store call was distracted and unhelpful. Online chat wasn’t helpful. Customer service in store was clueless. Ended up just going through the store to get the rest of my stuff and totally walking out with it. Oh well four years member and we’ll start going to Costco. Thanks

Requires a membership but with the lower prices on everything compared to other stores it is well worth the membership fees. The checkout lines can be fairly long at times though.

Shopping in the morning is good if you can get away to do it, and I highly recommend it. We have been members for a while, but my biggest takeaway is if you find something you like, buy it now! Inventory changes constantly, and it may not be there on your next trip. We love the Sam's club app, too! We were able to scan our stuff while shopping and pay without going through the checkout line. ❤

They have great items, sales Vary, wish they would keep there good selling items year round alot of their items are seasonal. They have a great app and there feature scan and go is fantastic they do some great features like scanning all your items before you check out and just press a button on app to pay they scan a QR code on your phone at door. You can also order food now on the app and skip the line.

I like everything but the check out. It's bottle necked constantly. I really like the pick and pull deal. It keeps me from tromping through the whole store searching for everything on my list. Another thing, they give veterans a discount on their membership.Update: Lately they have been running out of items, so I go online to check if they have the products I'm looking for. More often of late the online shopping app says a product is there (like organic milk) and I drive all the way out there and no organic milk. The club is a fair distance away and I don't appreciate driving 10 miles there and 10 miles back for nothing. I'm very close to not renewing my membership.

Always helpful, friendly staff. Clean facility. Plenty of parking. Most items are usually available and in stock. On-site bakery does a wonderful job. Professional butchers cut excellent 'cuts' of all meats. Curbside pickup is available. "Scan and go" is used here and very useful for on the go. Sam's club fuel pumps are also on-site.

Soooo this used to be a pretty good sam's, and I still like the app.The customer service continues to decline. Nobody cares about anything. The food court is constantly out of food, 40% of the shelves are bare.Whoever is "running" this place seriously needs to be canned because they suck so bad.If negative stars were a thing, -3.

I appreciate the consistency of this store. It's always well-stocked and accessible. Being able to scan & go, and having my Plus membership points loaded into the app make that part an easy experience. Their produce and meats have never disappointed.

Love Sam's club it's always harder to spend more money but when you break it down and think I normally didn't $9.97 for 40 garbage bags and here I can get 150 garbage bags for $16.76, I mean $6 more for 90 more bags and prob 2 less store trips, ya the value is so there! And it's that way for almost everything in there, buy more, save more. Less store trips!!!

Recently became a member. Told I was going to get an email with a $50 gift, never received it. I've shopped at Sam's Club a total of three times so far and each time there's usually only one or two people working at the checkout, so pretty much the only option is self-checkout or wait in a very long line. I don't understand why I'm paying a yearly fee to be a plus member and the customer service is garbage. If I wanted to use the self checkout I may as well be an employee at Sam's club. You would figure that part of paying for a membership would include having a cashier at the checkout. Call me old-fashioned, but I despise self-checkout. It's a huge liability, it's bad for consumers because people could be sued for stealing even if they don't, and I don't have any cashier experience so it takes me a long time to use stuff out. I really wish I could go to a grocery store nowadays and have my items scanned then pay for it like normal. Everywhere you go is self checkout now which just really sucks.

After applying and getting an interview, I was told that they would love to have me on, but their system was down. After implying I had the job, I waiting to hear back for my offer on when I can start. A few days go by and I call in after hearing no news by the date I was told. Apparently they had lost my application, which I know now is not true, and they wanted me to apply again, so I did. The next day I call again, and they inform me their system is down again. I was told they would be in touch over the phone when the system came back online, and that I would hear from them. I wait a day, then call the day after, which is today, just to make sure that I really had the job, and my offer was still coming. I was then informed that I did not have an offer, and my application was canceled out, despite them implying after my interview, which had gone well in my eyes, that I would have a job. I can understand that I was denied, but I can't understand how after a week, I wasn't just told I did not have the offer, and was run around in circles waiting to hear back from them when I was the one making all the calls. Very unprofessional, wish I was just told sooner...
