Buyer BEWARE! You can't make this UP!! If you buy plants/flowers from this shop beware. My daughter bought me flowers for Valentines Day to be delivered to my office and they arrived dead. I sent her a photo and they were not the flowers she ordered. They were a $60 flowers and the ones she ordered were $115. She would never have known if I didn't send her the picture. I called Pierson's and explained what happened and that I would appreciate if she got some kind of compensation back for the situation. He said no we don't do that he would send the right flowers today. I responded that she wanted the flowers for me on Valentines Day not today and not only were they dead but the wrong flowers. I was extremely professional in explaining why I felt she deserved something back. He said, "can I talk now?" I said of course. He said absolutely not and basically hung up on me. THEN he calls my daughter who is at work, three times until she picks up and tells her I am mean. I still cannot believe a business owner did that. She responds not only am I not mean, but she knows I would only talk in a professional manner because I am a good person. A mother who cares about her daughter and felt she was being taken advantage of. He then hung up on her. The situation was handled as bad as customer service can get. I am only writing this review because when you get dead dried up $60 flowers and should have gotten $115 flowers on a special day, something should be done. Office staff heard this conversation and were shocked listening to the conversation. Please owner of Pierson's take a class on being a decent human.

Variety is pretty good. The rare plants section is ridiculously overpriced considering you can get clippings on marketplace for $20-$50. But the size of some of their monsteras make them worth a good price. Loved exploring the plants but would like to have plant names on labels. Had to keep using google lens. They have cool moss poles and unique plant pots. Will definitely be back.

Every time I shop, I find the most beautiful assortment of flowers for such great prices. I am obsessed with their hanging baskets. They're so plentiful and gorgeous. Did I mention HUGE and well worth the price!?

I go to the Ellis location for the house plants but every single time, I end up with a pest. I've been to multiple places, multiple times and rarely get mites or mealies. Every. Single. Time. I go here, I get one or the other. This was my last time which is disappointing because they have great orchids but I have over 100 plants and will not risk an infestation.

I ordered a fresh flower arrangement to be delivered to a family member’s wake. I was so disappointed when I arrived at the wake and saw the arrangement. It appeared to be full of old flowers, as most of them were wilted. Would not recommend using this florist.

My daughter got her wedding flowers from Pierson's - Ellis Blvd. Her flowers were beautiful. She had her flowers dyed teal and purple, the colors were exquisite. The size of the bouquets and corsages were better then expected. The price was good. They were delivered to the venue on time. Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job!

R.J. was very rude and unkind to work with. Gave my florist the wrong delivery and contact information, was unresponsive to initial messages, and then insulted our team when he was told there was an extra cost after multiple failed deliveries from the bad information. I’m sure the shop is fine for local area deliveries, but I do not recommend working with them or on their behalf for out of area transactions.

If you know just what you're looking for or just want to feel like you're in a jungle for a bit, this is the place for you! If you would like to know what the names of plants are or the prices, this is not the place for you. I love the variety but the organization has much to be desired. I probably had too high hopes for a local greenhouse. I doubt I'll make the trip again unfortunately.

Very good selection of houseplants and tropicals. Good variety of outdoor flowers and a few small trees as well. I found purple shamrock which I haven't been able to find in town anywhere else. Aisles are very narrow but lots to see!

Had a bit of a miscommunication and didn’t end up officially confirming my order for my wedding bouquets until the day before my wedding. She was still able to make a beautiful arrangement even with the short notice. It feels like she read my mind and knew exactly what I was wanting in the flowers. So happy I used them for my wedding bouquets :)

I hired Pierson’s for my wedding in Cedar Rapids and they were amazing! I even miscounted the number of corsages I needed and Lisa was able to go back to the shop and create one more for me. I gave her inspiration photos for what I was looking for and she recreated them perfectly. Her team was on time for set-up the day-of and returning the vases we rented was a piece of cake. They were beyond easy to work with and I would recommend them!

My husband ordered flowers. The flowers could have been ALOT fuller - super empty spaces. Nothing like the photo he showed. Some flowers were dying. Three roses and the rest were cheap flowers. When you pay a higher price you except quality and that's not what he got. He complained and all he got was we close soon. On Valentines Day and anyday for a man to be super disappointed with what he's giving to his wife - not good.

This is my happy place. If they'd let me bring a blanket and a book, I'd spend all of my free time here. The plants are of incredible quality and, having shopped here consistently for quite some time now, I feel I can confidently say that they won't sell you a plant with any infestation or disease that might put the rest of your plant family at risk.For plants of this quality you may expect to make quite an investment--but that is absolutely not the case. The pricing is both consistent and fair.The service is great, too! They seem to assume you'll be a perfect plant parent and don't immediately hit you with a lecture on your new plants, but if you request one they deliver! Everyone is knowledgeable, patient and friendly.

I hadn't been in the store in a couple years, but I won a gift card from the Gazette so I thought it would be fun to look around. I spent about 20 minutes walking around and looking at all the plants and items inside and out. No one said anything to me the whole time I was walking around. That's fine, I was just exploring. I noticed that I was being watched inside and smiled, but just got started at. I found a couple of items to purchase, I took them to the counter and the women behind the counter came up and said, "you buying something?" It felt hostile and uncomfortable. I won't be going back.Edit- not sure how to respond to the owner's comment but this was the Ellis location.

I have been using Pierson's for years to send flowers to my Mom, who is in a memory care unit, several states away from me. Their service is OUTSTANDING and the quality of the flowers is very good. The arrangements look just like the photos on their website. I appreciate how easy ordering flowers on their website is and how good Pierson's is at communicating when they've been delivered. I would highly recommend them.

I ordered an arrangement from out of town to be delivered to mercy hospital. They handled this request quickly and professionally.The flowers were quickly dispatched, and the shop sent me a picture of the arrangement. Which turned out to be a good idea as the patient was physically unable to read the card, and her son had ‘assumed it came from her church’. Luckily I was able to describe the flowers to him from the photo and, consequently, confirm their delivery.And they were quite lovely.I am pleased that Pierson’s is still the fine florist that it was when I lived in Cedar Rapids in the 50s and 60s.

THE BEST. ordered my mom flowers for Valentine’s Day. I live in New York. My mom Just moves to Iowa. She got them on time and they were GORGEOUS. she said they smelled amazing. I’m so pleased and the customer service with following up to make sure they had her number and info needed was great! I will definitely order from here again!

I absolutely love this place. They have beautiful flowers and their customer service is top-notch! I purchased three hanging baskets from the store and a few weeks later they looked as if they were dying. I had no idea what was causing them to die and it quite possibly could have been me! I don't feel I have a green thumb, but I try. Anyways, I went back to the store to show them pictures of the flowers and asked what I was doing wrong. I spoke with Al and he suggested I bring them back so he could replace them for me. I told him he didn't have to do that because for all I know, it could have been me that was killing them. But he replied, "I want you to be happy with your flowers though." He allowed me to bring them back and switch them out for three other gorgeous hanging baskets. I will never forget this service Al provided to me and I will be going back there for my flowers from here on out. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you guys do for your customers! It doesn't go unnoticed!

A+++ Favorite garden and flower shop in the area. They have a great selection of plants and options from baskets to starters to cut flowers and pots and accessories. Trees? They got it. Cacti? They got it. Bonsai trees? Yep. Girl Scout cookies? Yes, also those. There’s multiple greenhouses, the plants are well cared for, prices are reasonable, and it’s just a beautiful local shop with great people. Highly recommend.
