Great place for good quality meats. This place has it all and then some. I was surprised at the choices. I went in for the first time for 1 item... left with 8. I will definitely be going back to Nelson’s. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well.

Awesome local place for lunch! They had a BBQ going outside but I ate inside and had a Reuben and monster cookie. Both were great and home made! I will definitely be going back.

Best cheeseburgers in town on the outside grill. Believe the girl who is always there rain or shine is Jessica. Does a great job cooking, always friendly and courteous. Seasoned grill gives the in house cut, ground beef excellent flavor!

Great variety of different kinds of meats! Amazing varieties of brats, have not been disappointed yet and I've had quite a few types of brats. Steaks are of great quality, flavor and size-wise, will not be disappointed. Their sweet pepper slaw is amazing and they even have killer ice cream!!

I don’t know what the delay is... I have no idea why you haven’t been down to meat Nelson. Nelson wants to meat you. Nelson probably wants to meat the wife and kids. Heck, I’d even be willing to bet that Nelson would want to meat your brother and his wife and his kids! Y’all should head down together to get some meat, deli salads, soup or some of them smoked ribs.

It is always a pleasure to shop here!2022 Update: Since Google won't let me add a new review, I will keep updating this one:We kept going back to Nelson's. This is where we have been buying our turkey for the past 2 years and we will continue to do so. It is also the best place for smoked sausages (and more), duck, fish, beef tongue, pickles, and the best BBQ sauce you have ever had (Try it! It is right behind you at the check-out counter)!

Went with my dad today for a quick bite to eat since they were grilling outside! One of the best ang biggest meat patties I've had in awhile! All natural hamburger grilled to order 😋 and then I went inside and was pleasantly welcomed by 3 gentlemen and a wide assortment of meats and frozen fruits. I was in heaven. I even got vegan chocolate ice cream! 🍦 This is my new favorite market. 😍

My wife and I love Nelson's. We just had new York strip steaks from here that turned out amazing with minimal effort. Whenever we visit everyone is really helpful and the meat is always high quality. In fact I usually end up so enthralled with the meat and deli cases I usually forget about the freezers of ice cream, oven ready prepared food and other goodies. If you haven't already, definitely check Nelson's out.

Awesome service and products! The employees were very helpful and friendly. I was looking for pepperoni and lamb and they had both. They even let me sample salami which I ended up taking home too. I'll definitely make it a regular stop for meat products!

Everything here is amazing, They have a great selection of meats at any cut you want. They have an amazing selection of deli meats. And their food will knock your socks off. I love this place.

I walked in and immediately was greeted with staff eager to help me. Besides their awesome fresh meat counter they have a large assortment of prepared food items in freezers (Nelson's homemade) for purchase like lasagna and other comfort foods. Very impressed. Also, they serve homeade lunch items to go.

Love the lunch-time outdoor grill! When the kids are home from college they always ask to go there. It's so nice to see Jess' smiling face. She's out there most of the year, a Cedar Rapids staple!

The owner, Mark Martin was extremely helpful, in suggesting menu items for my family's reunion this year. The food that he recommended was delicious and the service and attitudes of everyone there cheerful and spot-on! To top it off, Nelson's was extremely competitive in price!

Walked in there for the first time. Got lost in the neighborhood and saw a sign for Nelson'sHmmm! Went in and customer service was on par. Wow, lots of frozen ready for oven amd fresh meats of all kinds as well as baked bread. I watched others come in and they were ordering the rib special. I wanted the rib special! They had it all pack up and ready to go in a few minutes. I went straight home to Marion and put dinner on the table. Nelson's gets my 2020 vote!

Very polite and kind people here with an excellent choice of meats and sides. I do not eat beef nor pork, however, they have a wide selection of fish and turkey to choose from including turkey brats as well as portobello brats!🤗😍😋

Price was fair. However 2/3 of the meat package I ordered was not good! Put meat in the fridge the night before and went to cook and it had a horrid smell and was discolored. I have gotten lunch here multiple time which was amazing. Disappointing experience for me. I will be looking for a different meat locker

One of my favorite places to grab lunch in Cedar Rapids. It's not officially Spring till the smoke is rolling off their outdoor grill. Porkbugers, brats, and chicken teriyaki sandwiches are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Outstanding food. Ordered via uber eats and the BBQ pork sandwich, chili, and macaroni salad were all 10/10. Will definetly get some again the next time I'm in town.
